When we returned, they claimed no pause was ever placed and marked all classes as "used" due to no-shows. The same staff member then denied what she had confirmed. No calls, no follow-up--just charged through the entire package. The owner refused any credit or resolution. Their slipper policy is also inconsistent and unhygienic--some people walk in with outdoor footwear, while others are required to wear shared, non-disposable slippers. Poor communication, no accountability, and zero customer care. Would not return. read more

I had a very disappointing and concerning experience during my daughter's swim lesson last week. Her lesson was scheduled to start at 12:30 PM. By 12:34, no coach had called her name, so I went to the front desk to ask where her coach was. The front desk staff called out the coach's name, and the coach appeared confused and almost unaware that she was supposed to be teaching my daughter. Once my daughter went into the pool, the coach gave her a kickboard and had her swim down the pool while she followed behind. I did not see her actively teaching, correcting, encouraging, or engaging with my daughter. Instead, she appeared distracted, repeatedly looking at and picking at her fingernails while my daughter was struggling in the water. At one point, my daughter swam back to her, and the coach simply sat in the pool with her for what felt like a minute or two, looking around and doing very little instruction or interaction. I immediately went back to the front desk and asked to switch coaches. The front desk staff could see the situation from where she was standing and understood why I was upset. I told her I wanted to take my daughter out of the pool immediately. She initially encouraged me to let her finish the session, but I was very uncomfortable with what I was seeing. She assured me that my daughter would have a different coach for the remaining sessions. She pointed out the coach they were going to switch my daughter to, and I decided to continue observing rather than immediately pull my daughter from the pool. Unfortunately, the second coach I observed also raised concerns for me. Her student was using a kickboard, but I did not see much instruction or interaction. It appeared that the coach was primarily pulling the student around the pool. While I was trying to observe both coaches, I heard my daughter choking/coughing on water. Later, after we left, my daughter told me that she had been struggling to keep her head above water and had gone under the water while the coach was not adequately watching or assisting her. She told me she had been struggling during the lesson. This was extremely upsetting to hear, especially because she has been taking swim lessons for almost a year and should be receiving proper instruction and supervision, not being left to struggle in the water. Her lesson was supposed to make up the few minutes she missed at the beginning, and she came out of the pool at approximately 1:01 PM. At that point, I went back to the front desk and asked to change my remaining lessons to a fixed coach. I had already renewed for another 15 sessions beginning the following week, and I did not feel comfortable continuing with the original coaching arrangement. I do want to specifically recognize Jessie at the front desk, who provided excellent customer service. She was understanding, listened to my concerns, and helped schedule my daughter with the fixed coach I requested. I ultimately paid an additional $34 to upgrade to the fixed-coach option for 13 sessions. However, I strongly believe I should receive a credit for the lesson in which my daughter was not properly supervised or taught. More importantly, this situation should not happen to any child. I understand that coaches may have different teaching styles, but water safety cannot be compromised. Coaches need to be attentive, engaged, knowledgeable, and actively supervising their students throughout the entire lesson. I also believe the facility should ensure that instructors are appropriately dressed for teaching swim lessons and able to safely assist a child in the water when needed. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reviews what happened. Parents trust swim schools with their children's safety, and there needs to be a much higher level of attentiveness and supervision during lessons. I appreciate Jessie's professionalism and willingness to help, but based on this experience, I am very disappointed and concerned about the coaching and safety standards. read more

My daughter, who is on the autism spectrum, was referred through the Regional Center and was extremely excited to start swimming lessons. We attended the first class, and I was told they would contact the Regional Center regarding continuing lessons and follow up with us afterward. Unfortunately, we never heard anything back. I even sent an email to ask if there were any updates, and I was told they would get back to me, but they never did. The complete lack of communication and follow-through was frustrating and unprofessional, especially considering how excited my daughter was about participating. Families with special needs children already go through enough challenges, and clear communication and reliability are extremely important. We had the same frustrating experience as many other parents. When we first signed up, we were told that if we paid for private 1-on-1 lessons, we could pick our coach. That was the only reason we agreed to enroll. Toward the end of our first set of classes, they asked if we wanted to renew to keep the same coach. We never signed a new contract--we just paid through Zelle (they don't accept credit cards, which feels intentional so parents can't dispute charges). Not long after renewing, our coach was suddenly switched. The first time, we asked for advance notice if a coach couldn't make it. But after a few more classes, we were informed that our coach had been permanently reassigned to another student at the same time slot. We were shocked--this is not what we agreed to. When we questioned it, we were told the school had "final say" in assigning coaches and that parents have no control. When I asked to see the contract I signed, it said nothing about "unfixed coaches." Instead, they sent me a different version--one I never signed--that suddenly included "unfixed coach" language. They also told me that if I wanted to guarantee a coach, I should have signed up for something called the Golden Private Lesson. This was the first time we had ever heard of that. It feels like they change policies and terms without ever informing parents. In fact, according to the contract I did sign, coach changes should only occur for personal reasons related to the coach. Replacing our coach just to give them to another student does not qualify. In our view, this is a breach of contract. As paying clients, we should receive at least reasonable notice of coaching changes as a matter of basic professionalism. On top of all this, my daughter has been attending for quite some time and still hasn't learned to swim--which is why we gave them another chance in the first place. We've also noticed that coaches are scheduled back-to-back with no breaks, and some don't pay attention to their students. When I brought this up, the school's response was that I should "let them know" if a coach wasn't doing their job. That is unacceptable--it should not be the parents' responsibility to monitor their staff. Parents, please be very careful when signing anything here and read the fine print. Their contract even includes a clause saying you "cannot sue them in court," which feels incredibly shady and deceptive. We believe this business model is unfair and misleading. Consumers have rights under California law to pursue remedies for deceptive practices and breach of contract. We are considering filing complaints with consumer protection agencies and may pursue recourse through small claims court if necessary. read more
