Some have been from air quality issues (smoke), but others have been cancelled due to poop in the pool (multiple times) and PH levels (multiple times). The communication on these cancelled days were awful as well. We either didn't receive any notification before arriving or calls about 5 mins before their sessions. I realize that some of this is out of their control, but there are plenty of things that they should be better at. We will never plan any more swimming lessons with Comstock.

The golf course was in pretty good shape. We played it two different times. The best part was we were allowed to play a 5-some. Not a lot of courses allow that. The food at the course after was decent for the area and was decently priced. We loved that the resort offered a lot of different options outside of golf. The putt putt area was great for some family fun since the weather was gorgeous. They do offer pickleball but the courts are by 16 tee box on the golf course. We didn't find these until our last day. Do not spend the time setting it up/making your own pickleball in the gym. Overall we had a great stay in a clean area. Would recommend for anyone looking for a secluded area with some fun family activities to do.

Unbelievable for a four star property. If you want it, you must go and buy it during regular business hours at the rec center. -New towels are provided only on Tuesdays at the towel exchange. Not very helpful when your stay is Thursday through Sunday. -You are fined if you do not wash the dishes and empty the dishwasher and take out the trash in your own room. this is buried in the checkout instructions (when was the last time you opened a room folio to even read the check out instructions at a hotel). Pretty draconian since it's very non-standard for other properties. See my pictures. This and many other rules are excessive and controlling. Cameras everywhere with staff coming to question your compliance with minutia -Felt on edge all weekend due to staff not picking at us and kids. Not a good place to relax.

BUT I did notice it was extremely hot in the cardio area even with the fan on! We visited the Southside Family Aquatic Facility on a Saturday afternoon and unfortunately had a…read moredisappointing experience due to a rigid and unyielding ticket policy. Our group was split into two parties: the first half (two adults and two children) arrived around 2:30 PM and were able to purchase tickets and enter without issue. The second half of our group (one adult and two young children) arrived shortly after at 3:00 PM, unaware that tickets had sold out for the day. Since none of us had purchased tickets in advance, they were denied entry despite arriving only 30 minutes later. What made the situation particularly upsetting was that several families were visibly leaving the facility as we spoke with staff. We asked if it would be possible for our friends to take the spots of those who had exited, but were told this was not allowed under any circumstances. Even when a kind stranger inside the park offered to give up their spots for our group, the staff refused to make any accommodations. The policy was presented as inflexible, with no room for compassion or situational discretion--despite two very disappointed young children crying at the gate. To make matters worse, an employee (likely a teenage staff member) seated behind the front counter repeatedly told the front desk attendant "no" each time she asked if an exception could be made, leaving her to be the bearer of bad news without offering any personal engagement or empathy. We understand the need for rules and capacity limits, especially for safety. However, it seems entirely reasonable to re-evaluate a system that prevents entry even when space clearly becomes available. A little flexibility or humanity--particularly when dealing with families and small children--would go a long way.

I have two little ones (Age 1 1/2 & 2 1/2 ) who have grown up at home during the Pandemic. Needless to say they are a little shy, and anxious when it comes to new things and new people. Taking them to the YMCA child watch for the first time was extremely nerve wracking, but we were met with the most kind, patient, and warm greetings ever. Each and every one of the care providers talked warmly to the kids, redirecting gently when needed, and reassuring the nervous kids with kindness and compassion. I would 100% recommend taking advantage of the complimentary 2 hour child watch here. It gave me such ease seeing how well my kiddos were being cared for. 5 stars for sure!

We hadn't been to the rec center in a year and went last night. The family bathrooms were the…read morenastiest thing I have ever seen. Both floors were covered in debris, mud and some cloudy colored water. The shower floors were so unsanitary and to top everything off...there were little bugs crawling all over the drains in the floor. I don't know what happened in the last year but I will not go back. Disgusting!
