THE DOG PARK IS NOT FOR YOU. The Audacity to Know your dog needs muzzled or it will kill another animal, and then to yell at Me because I swat your dog with my dog's leash while my 15lb pomeranian screams in terror and your big dog is circling is unrivaled.

There was a cool breeze through the canopies on a very warm day and garbage cans to dispose of our leftovers. When we stumbled upon the gorgeous flower gardens, I could not believe it. There were multiple gardeners working outside of the conservatory and although it was closed, I can't imagine that there was anything more beautiful inside than what we saw outside. We were able to sit over at the benches and rally enjoy the fountain and manicured flowers. There was a large, veryrude family that did come through who wanted to scream at their kids and then try to take photographs in front of the flowers like a happy family. Then allow their smaller children to stomp through the flowers and scream loudly while they stared at their phones. And there were of course at least two young ladies posing for "the gram" that picked flowers and made obnoxious gestures in ridiculously skimpy clothes... I guess those types of things can't be helped these days and they are no reflection on the garden itself, just be prepared for your peace to be interrupted. We also made a quick stop at the Rose garden which I did not find to be quite as beautiful but smelled lovely... There were just too many bugs and it was there were just too many bugs and it was far too warm to spend much time there. If I lived closer to this park, I would come everyday to listen to the sound of the fountain and appreciate the beauty of the topiaries and flowers and I would recommend a stop here for anyone who appreciates the beauty of nature.

Worth a historically worldly looksee! ~ May 2024 is the 50th anniversary of the World Fair Expo '74…read morewhere 10 countries and 5.2 million people came together in Spokane, Washington. The city will be recreating the festive experience with the 50th year celebration. Timing wise, we were lucky to be in town for business beforehand staying at a nearby hotel within walking distance. We saved the best for last during our trip to visit the famous Pavilion and walk around the riverfront. This structure is truly a symbolic milestone of environmental awareness, development and cultural good times. Don't miss sight seeing here, performances or walking upon the incredible architecture. If you love fairs like I do, you'll appreciate the nostalgia of this redeveloped Pavilion.

Sadly, no one else was there with there dogs and I can see why. Its all dirt, poop everywhere, and it stinks. Planting some hearty grass even if it gets patchy would make a big difference here. I like it had a dog watering station, a few nice benches and good fencing...but, all my dog wanted to do is smell all the large quantities of dog poo everywhere lol and had no other dogs to play with. We need a nice large dog park central to spokane.
