In areas where he still struggles, he has teachers who understand how he learns and help him along while still holding him to him to high standards. He's actually learning, not just showing up and turning in busywork. Earlier struggles at school extended to his social and emotional life. It was hard to see him struggle when knew him to be bright, funny, insightful, and kind. September School has drawn that out. He's part of a supportive community, has good friends, and is valued for being himself.

The small class size, the personal attention, the caring and supportive community have all transformed his attitude toward school and learning. At September School, he isn't expected to expected to think and perform like everyone else. Teachers support him while also still holding him accountable. We also love the policy of not giving homework, which means assignments get completed in class and school stays at school. September School certainly isn't right for every kid, but for those that need a non-traditional learning environment, it's amazing.

When my child was stuck on a topic or a problem, the instructor didn't take the time to walk my child through that problem. The instructor just look up the answer without providing an explanation to why that answer would be correct. Then when I decided to withdraw my child from the program, I was treated rudely and was ridiculed. They refused to refund my money and banned my child from coming to the center to finish out month I pay for citing that I didn't give an appropriate 30 day notice. I would never recommend anyone to go to this center in Broomfield based on the experience I had.

Many times (within the few sessions we have been there) we have witnessed people needing help and she chooses to remain oblivious. Only been in a handful of times and there are not enough tutors attending to students. Employees in attendance looks sufficient, yet there seems to be at least one tutor in the back while students sit waiting for help or grading. Both times we have been here there is one tutor hopping from one student to another and attending to walk-ins while one or more other tutors are not to be seen. Seriously considering a refund request and its only been a few visits.

The staff at Boulder do an excellent job ensuring everyone is knowledgeable in all areas of math and are attentive to different learning styles. Alan and Margaux, in particular, are extremely supportive. My daughter frequently talks about how helpful they are and always leaves with a solid understanding of the current subject matter. What sets Mathnasium apart is that their support goes beyond the sessions. They help with her homework, making sure she fully understands the concepts and leaves confident enough to excel in school. Whenever I notice she might need a little extra help, I reach out, and they proactively check in with her. Mathnasium truly feels like an extension of my daughter's education, enrichment, and learning. I can't recommend them highly enough!

We were asked to remove my son from the preschool after one month. My frustration with the school…read morelies with how the situation was handled, not the fact that he was asked to leave. If he was as violent as they say he was they were right to ask him to leave, but we have never seen this behavior anywhere else and were not allowed to observe him in the classroom so we do not know what was actually going on. We did not feel that we could trust the teachers or administration because of inconsistencies in their statements. Many of the teachers' complaints were typical preschool behaviors, especially for a child new to the Montessori setting. This made us question the validity of the more serious complaints. We were given two days notice that he needed to leave aftercare. Two weeks later we were given two days notice that he needed to leave the school. They said that they would release his records for his evaluation with Childfind but when I requested the records they stated that they would not provide them. Compass may be a great school for "typical" kids but it is not a supportive setting for children who have developmental delays or behavioral challenges.
