He combines various methods to give my injury/body what will help the most and helps me understand the what and why. I came to Richard after a very painful backpacking trip where I injured both ankles (Oh, how the swelling made my ankles disappear!) and had low back pain that was making it hard to walk comfortably. I knew I needed help healing, but I didn't understand what a very skilled and 'big picture/whole picture thinking' physical therapist could do. After just a month, I've been blown away at the results and process - he actually gave me hope that the pain I'd been dealing with would eventually be gone and I'd be even healthier and stronger than before! While I was convinced quickly to work with him I did want to understand my options before choosing a therapist so at the end of my first session, he told me listen, if you do decide to go somewhere else for PT and all they do is tell you to stretch your calves to heal the ankle, you should leave/don't go back to them. It is like he predicted the future, I went to [insert PT company name here] and all they told me was to stretch each calf for 2 minutes a day and come back in a week...I was already sold but just had to laugh at how clearly Richard's years of experience came through.

I have been to several connected to hospitals, that had gym and pool access & they do not come close to the unique techniques used by these experts. The KT tape was also amazing! (AKA: my binke, lol) I still use it. I ended up needing to go back to the surgeon, so I only used 10 of 12 visits. It was decided, that after this much time, I was not improving enough, so no sense returning. The claim adjuster was notified and understood. About a month after I left, I got call from the receptionist asking me why I did not come back. Risk management wanted to know? That was odd because Vinnie, decided the facia work was not helping, and suggested I go get the steroid injection, which I did. I would thnk that would have been in my chart and forwarded on. Minor glitch in communication. Very grateful for the feedback on the scoliosis brace that was wrong for me. That was major niceness & I am forever grateful for your input. I was able to return it & found an adult scoliosis brace from Source Ortho, online. I know exactly ZERO about adult scoliosis braces. Rachel worked with me for about eight weeks and provided an exercise plan to improve my strength and movement in my ankle. Results have been great and I'm now on the road to Recovery. Rachel has proven to be an excellent PT, very knowledgeable on my condition and explained in detail how the treatment plan would work, which was much appreciated. I would recommend physical therapist Rachel without reservation. She is highly skilled and knowledgeable on many conditions.

They helped me transition from needing a knee scooter to using a boot and eventually to a shoe. They helped me regain range of motion in my foot, toes, and ankle. My arm was in a 45 degree cast for six weeks, so that by the time it was removed, muscles and other areas were unable to stretch. I couldn't rotate the arm at all, and there was and still is numbness, swollen fingers, and pain throughout. Olga was immediately able to test and ascertain what we were facing, asking pertinent questions and requesting a full medical report from the sugeon's office. Olga and everyone I met there is focused and very serious about getting you back into the game. She went to work immediately with very effective treatment, advice, and a workout plan I could do at home to move things along. By the time she was through, I already had some movement, and a plan of attack until our next appointment. I am so glad to have chosen MPT, and look forward to our next session. I only have about three more weeks before returning to work, which is very labor-intensive, yet I feel fully confident that MPT will have me ready. Fantastic people and facilities.
