Children who otherwise carry the weight of the world on their shoulders and need someone to help them have their special day. Our mission is to provide birthday parties to homeless children in the Puget Sound area. Birthday Dreams was founded on the simple principle that children must have this sense of hope, encouragement and belief that there are people who care so that they can weather the storms of their circumstances. The street to turn on to get to the venue was extremely dark and hard to find, and required me circling the block a bit. On the other hand, parking wasn't bad. There were several parking spots right outside the venue, but also there was easy street parking in the area. They have a nice bar area with seating, a kitchen area for food that you could hold just enough people to grab food, and a large main space that was pretty good for dance party. The ceiling of the main space was basically two floors, which at least for our party meant the lighting was kinda strange. My only real complaint is the bathroom situation. Basically, there are two bathrooms in the entire venue. Not bathroom *areas* or mens/womens, but literally two toilets. For our large group, it was technically sufficient, although we seemed to run out of toilet paper a couple hours in, but it did mean lines. I was not privy to details like the cost or the actual number of attendees, so I don't know how much it was "worth it" in that sense, but we had a good time.

Of course, you should always watch your own kids, but having someone that alert adds a huge layer of peace of mind. We used a Groupon, and if you have ever used one, you know it can sometimes be a hassle, but not here. The process was seamless. A staff member radioed ahead for us, and by the time we got to the snack counter, they already knew what to do. No waiting, no confusion. We were set up immediately and on our way. That level of coordination was impressive. Every game we tried was working perfectly, including VR games, which is rare in most arcades. Even smaller details, like all the basketballs being available at the Papa Shot machines, did not go unnoticed. The kids' drop ride was a huge hit with my daughter, and the claw machines, which guarantee a prize, were a fun bonus, especially as a way to end the visit on a high note. The prize center was also well balanced, with reasonable ticket costs and fun options. They had some great games too, like rhythm games and classics, that made it enjoyable for both kids and adults. The real surprise was the food. We ordered pizza expecting typical arcade food, but it exceeded expectations by a mile. It was soft, fresh, and genuinely delicious, easily better than what you would find at places like Chuck E. Cheese. The entire dining area was spotless, which is almost unheard of in venues like this. Tables were clean. Floors were clean. Everything felt cared for. The service continued to impress throughout. Our food came out quickly, and when we finished, the staff handled all the cleanup. We actually went out of our way to find cash just to leave a tip because the service deserved it. We originally came for the full experience, including batting cages, laser tag, go karts, and mini golf, but honestly, even before doing any of that, I can confidently say this place is incredibly well run. Based on everything we experienced, I have no doubt the rest will be just as great. After the ceremony they were kind and smart enough to set aside some appetizers for my wife and I to enjoy in our room while we took a quick breather. We were too busy with pictures to have enjoyed them otherwise. They let us know when it was time to go down for dinner, which we had opted to do outside. We had some bad luck, and it was very hot and sunny - so much so that we decided we needed to move the dinner inside, and Kyro and her team got it all sorted in minutes. And I would get a response a few days/weeks later. And her response was always "I'm sorry I've been so busy". Which I understand. We also talked about cake flavors via email and come to find out on our wedding date, she never ordered one. I mean. Why would we talk about cake flavors and then not add it to the bill?! It was my fault also for not double checking the bill. What wedding doesn't have a cake!?!? When I called her , because she just left without saying anything, all she said was "all I can do is bring a fake cake". How are my guests going to eat this. So I had family run out and buy a few cakes. It was embarrassing . Being a nurse working 12 hours shifts at night, working 4-5 days a week. It was hard to meet up. Because I work 7pm to 7 am. So when I emailed her a few times to fill out the layout for the reception, she never replied. My husband called her a few times and she said to re-email it back. But did I ever get a response? No. I ended up just filling out the layout myself. When I asked her what her PayPal account name was, that's when I got a response right away. Seriously , I would not recommend them to anyone. Which is a shame, because my sister hired them a few years ago and they did fabulous. I'm not sure what happened for my wedding but it was awful. Very unfortunate.
