After a horrific visit at a close by competitor that has USA in their name... this place stood out like a beacon in the night on a foggy night at sea. Upon entering we were immediately greated within 3 seconds. The gentlemen there welcomed us in as if we were familiar family. We approached the counter and I asked them if they did trades and he said yes but it depends on exactly what I was interested in trading. I went back to my vehicle to show them my trade and a little background and they were more than happy to give me close to what I purchased it for as it was only 2 days old from where I originally purchased it from. They happily gave us a small tour of their facilities and showed us some products of interest. They were extremely knowledgeable about every product there as they are also a gunsmith shop so can also do any type of modification allowable. I was extremely happy to hear that they have a 30 days return policy on anything you buy there. Their nearby competitor surely doesn't have that same policy. The customer service is excellent and I was able to make my trade as well as buy new hardware. I'm also happy to announce that they are adding a range early next year right next to them. I love that small shop feel of a place vs the corporate treatment where you're treated only as a number. In fact, whilst I was there another customer walked in complaining about that same nearby competitor and how bad they were with customer service. Clearly they have a reputation that Texas Underground doesn't have and have been the savior of many. This is my official spot going forward for Ammo and Armory. Be secure and Prosper.

I have been to one of Johnny's shooting classes. He is very thorough and meticulous. The focus was always on safety first which I really appreciated. He had a great wealth of knowledge about guns, gun care, shooting and proactive defensive carry. He also had a wide range of firearms to teach with as well as sell and the prices were comparable to any retailer. I would recommend the class to anyone whether they are new to shooting, just want to brush up on tactics, or anyone wishing to review gun laws now that open-carry is more prominent across states. One last thing, the range he taught the class at was private so there was plenty of time one on one instruction without having to wait behind a line every 15 minutes of shooting. read more

Highly recommend to take the shooting class that Johnny teach. You will absorb information from different type of firearms, good tactical uses, home protection & defense, caring & cleaning, safety measurements, ect.. Not only is the class useful, but the 1 on 1 training make it more personal & easier to ask questions. You will be able to try out different type of firearms & ammo. It's a blast to shoot 5-10 different type of firearms all day and learn about them (no line for shooting). He have the knowledge, tools and resources to help you with anything. Beware though, every time I'm shooting with Johnny. I get the urge to buy and add more firearms to my collection. His prices on firearms is very competitive as well. read more

There are two parts to the course: the classroom and the range qualification. My instructor was Johnny Oparakum, very knowledgeable about the laws and regulations for having a LTC. Open to questions, very detailed and thorough, while still making the class fun. He used many current state news and personal experience stories that helped me understand better. The range qualification part was extra fun. It was safe and under control. I highly recommend Syndicate Shooting Sports, ask for Johnny to be your instructor. Tell him Jimmy sent you! read more

Johnny is a great firearms instructor! He knows all the gun laws and helps to make sure you understand them too. He doesn't talk down to people that are new to guns, which helps you feel comfortable asking stupid questions. Johnny is very patient and helpful. He has his classes at a private range. He usually has small class sizes, so you get a lot of personal attention. He also has great deals on all kinds of guns and ammunition. Overall a great value! 7 Stars! read more

Was looking for a local FFL holder, called around a few places, no answer. Called him up, he answered right off the bat. Asked him to send over his info so I could transfer a rifle, within 10 minutes he had faxed over everything to the other place and my rifle was packaged and headed out the door the next day! I shoot at SGA-Crosby regularly.....at least twice a week, usually more. I consider it my home…read morerange. The staff is absolutely awesome! William (the manager), and his staff (Landon, Hollie, David, Amanda, Sebastian) are always willing to help and welcome all customers. They are knowledgeable, friendly, polite, and helpful. That is why I do not like to sat what I am about to say.......it seems like SGA-Crosby is going down hill. The shooting lanes on the rifle side very often have a lane down, and on at least one lane, the controls are reversed. The staff does a great job keeping the lanes functional. The shooting lanes on the pistol side are WAY outdated. The six lanes are operated on a cable system that reminds me of myb my mother's old clothesline when I was a child. Send the targets out on any lane, then wait 30 seconds or so for it to quit bouncing up and down so you can resume your shooting. Lately, the store's inventory has been very slim. The Blue Label Glock showcase is practically empty, and the selection of handguns in general has been slim.They do have what seems to be a decent stock of silencers, though. The store itself is kept clean and neat by the staff, but unfortunately, there is nothing they can do about the parking lot. The lot is uneven, and after a rainstorm, there are numerous water puddles all over the shell parking lot. And when the lot is dry, it is so dusty that one needs to get to a car wash to rinse off the dust. SGA-Crosby is a good, convenient range for which residents of Crosby, Highlands, Huffman, and other close in area to go to shoot. It could absolutely be a great range with just a few very needed updates; the shooting lanes target movers need a better, more reliable system, and the parking lot could really stand a major upgrade. I am a member at SGA, and I will continue to patronize the SGA-Crosby Indoor Range, but I truly wish ownership would make some much needed improvements to make SGA-Crosby an even better location.

The hanger is in perfect condition and not damaged and they will continue to use it. Plus if I did actually hit it then yes I would understand. However, Nelson the worker was extremely rude when he told me and just kept yelling at everyone who was shooting. Every time I go, the men there always look at me like I'm dumb and have never held a firearm before. I'm a competition shooter, by the way. I've been shooting for years.. About a year ago, one of the tall white dudes made a comment about a top I was wearing and laughed as he kept looking down. This used to be a good range when more females worked there; it was more family-oriented, which I loved. However, I'm never coming back here again because of the way they've treated me each time.

As I walk up to knock on the door, the associate opens the door and tells me sternly to "back off I'm still setting things up and putting up signs". As he's walking inside he's clearly mumbling under his breath. Every time I want to support a local gun business, I'm painfully reminded about how much better it is to buy this stuff online. I've never felt this unwelcome at a business before. The internet has better prices, is open outside of normal work hours, and won't take out their bad morning on you.

Inside it's rather small with two separate shooting bays that may have 5 stalls each. In the bay that the match was held in, I noticed many bullet holes in the ceiling showing the outside sky. I would give 3 stars normally for a place like this because it serves its basic purpose. Instead, I give 2 stars because both shooting bays lack any kind of air filtration. That's dangerous. During my 90 minutes shooting there the air was foul with gunpowder smoke and full of lead and other toxic chemicals. It was rough staying there. This is 2022 not 1962 and every indoor range must provide air filtration.
