I was told it was meningitis after I exited the office and was in the lobby headed outside when my phone rang. The lady in the call told me I was given a meningitis shot and to go to my pharmacy for the second Hepatitis B shot. Let's say I wasn't happy. I went to Walgreens and explained to the pharmacist my predicament. She asked me to find out what brand of hepatitis B vaccine I was given last month. I logged into my patient portal and the brand name of the shot used wasn't listed. After discussion the pharmacist agreed to give me my second shot. I even volunteered to pay cash. When the info was input into the computer system, the shot was denied because Walgreens is a retail establishment. I couldn't get the shot at my doctor's office nor at a drug store. I asked the pharmacist for help and she said that the HH Urgent Care can give me the Hep B shot. Off I go to Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care to explain to several employees why I was there. After checking in and telling my story to anyone willing to listen, I sat and waited while the ladies at HH Urgent Care dotted the i's and crossed the t's. I was called back and was given my second Hep B shot. Hallelujah HH Urgent Care saved the day. I made my appointment for my third and final shot. Thank you HH Urgent Care for handling what seemed the impossible.

I "saved a spot" online, arrived 15 minutes early as instructed, but waited over 2 1/2 hours to be seen. At least 2 walk-in patients were seen before me, which I don't think is right. My vitals were taken by the nurse, then I was placed in a very cold room, where I waited another 30 minutes. When the nurse practitioner came in, she asked me some questions about why I was there (uncontrolled coughing), prescribed 2 medications (an inhaler and a steroid), and sent me on my way. She did not listen to my chest, look at my throat, or even come near me. Not the quality of care I'd expect from a HH facility.

I told her I have been seen here many times before without a referral. She shrugged and said "well I don't know WHO allowed YOU to be seen" . I first called the office and asked if I would be able to come in at approximately 1620, I spoke with Brian. He said there is just one person in line and as long as you are here before 5:00 we can get you in. The website when you search urgent care 35801 pulls up the Urgent care in Propst. They had a sign on their door upon arrival that they were closing early and to go to the governors Urgent Care... Arriving at the Urgent Care on governors, I walked in at 4:50 and was told that they are no longer accepting patients for the day. I would highly suggest that you look in to another doc in the box prior to using this one. Again, I am a person that has the mindset, if I don't have to go to the doctor I will not. Saying that, I was very, VERY, I'll the entire weekend and forced myself to get out of bed and go to the doctor. After this experience it will be difficult for me to even think about going to a doc in the box due to the horrible support for someone in need of some sort of medical attention. Absolutely disgusted and enraged. If I could give no stars I certainly would. I got there today…read more(Sunday) at 11:45 knowing they didn't open until 1:00pm. I did this because I knew there would probably be a line for COVID testing. I was the second car there. People then started to form a line and were told to return to their cars and call the number at 1:00. I did. No one answered. Instead, a new line formed outside the door and they opened the door for these people, allowing them to be the walk-in appointments which they have limited to 8 per day for some ridiculous reason. I was told to call (again) and finally got a hold of someone after TWO MORE ATTEMPTS at calling with no answer. When I did get in they said "we aren't taking any more walk-ins today" and I explained how that was unfair as I had been waiting since 11:45. She said "we don't open until one" I explained that it's unfair that I was told to go to my car and call when they just went to the door and let the people in line be the first walkins despite having told everyone else to call. Another lady took the phone and began LITERALLY YELLING at me about how I'm not the only one trying to get an appointment. I told her I get that but it was absolutely ludicrous for them to open the door for people when they told everyone else to go call. Would not recommend.
