I needed new rotors and brakes but was not able to go to my usual mechanic because he was booked for weeks. Since I had a trip coming up in a few days, I asked if he recommended any other mechanic. My family has dealt with T&M for years and we love them! Their repairs are always top notch at a very fair price. Last year the rear seal ruptured in my engine. A dealer told me that I needed a whole new engine for $9,000 - $10,000. T&M examined it and said that I just needed to replace the rear seal and refill the oil, and quoted me around $4,000. T&M is a wonderful mechanic. I am travel nursing out in the area and came into some car trouble. I blew out two tires on my way into my shift. When I arrived they immediately started taking off tires and calling around to get me two new ones in hopes I would still be able to make it to my shift. They got the new tires and hooked me all up within 3 hours. I am so grateful for henrix, dale, and Mitchell. I am out here with no family around and they treated me like family even after only just meeting me. Update** my car needed a few extra pieces fixed, and they took care of it. I had someone else closer to home originally look at the car and I called henrix to get his opinion on what they said. He told me to bring it in before my next shift and they would take a look. Good people here. My truck had a low tire and I wasn't able to put air in it at the gas station. I needed to get to an appointment, so I called these guys to see if they could look at it right away. My 20 year old daughter had some major problems that left her stranded. AAA towed her 2002 Grand Cherokee to T&M. The shop was closed, but the owner was still around and said he would call with a solution at 7:30am which he did promptly. I know something about cars. Outstanding, friendly, fast, honest service. Charged a fair price. We were traveling from NC to NY. Our "service brake line soon" message came on. We checked the brake fluid, and it was nearly empty We saw hat we had a leak on a back brake line. T&M was recommended by another service shop. If your in Carlisle, for whatever reason, and you need auto help this is the place to go. Henri is soo helpful and nice and honest. I went to Lebos in Carlisle before my NY trip because I needed new break pads. They tried to tell me I needed new wheel bearings that were going to cost 300 dollars extra, on top of the new rotors they put that were completely unnecessary. Since I didn't hear any funny sounds from the wheels, I took it to T and M for a second opinion... Henri checked the wheels and said they were fine. I made it to new york and so far no problems. I found myself in this situation in Carlisle on Sunday night knowing nothing could be done until Monday morning I began blindly to search for towing and auto repair services in the area Jerry's towing company arrived at my hotel in 10 minutes after calling them the driver was right on top of things ( I highly recommend jerry's towing ) ,and suggested I try T and M for the repairs I needed. I felt and immediate sense of relief when meeting the mechanics and owner who immediately put my car in the garage and began working on it In two hours they had the part delivered installed and had me on my way. At a fair price! But it did not stop there they took the time to look over my truck and let me know about any thing I should be concerned with ,and went further making sure all of my tires were inflated to the proper pressure. I felt immediately comfortable and had no feeling that I was being taken advantage of. My wife and I were stranded in Carlisle pulling a recreational trailer when my Trailblazer broke down. I was an out-of-state traveller with no connections and hoping to find an honest shop. The GM dealer diagnosed the transmission as needing replacement. I shopped a second opinion and by chance found T & M and Henrik, the owner. I am glad I did. He confirmed the dealer's diagnosis. I was struck with the personal way in which he dealt with me. I'm 85 and been in and out of auto repair shops my entire life. We recently moved to PA from VA and went through the registration process (at AAA) requiring passing a safety inspection within 10 days of filing paperwork. Found out my pickup required weight certification before paperwork could be processed. AAA recommended T&M as it was a AAA certified shop and not far. Lead mechanic, Dale, did the weight certification and didn't charge a dime, only saying he'd see me for inspection. After submitting paperwork to AAA, I called T&M for an inspectin appointment. They were pretty stacked but would get me in if I could leave the car. All went well. I left the truck and got a call that the rear brakes were too close to pass so I asked if they could replace the shoes, they could. The job was done quickly and at a very fair price. I spoke at length with the owner, Henry, and in the end, this will be our go-to shop for any future work. Many 5-star google reviews. My Son's vehicle broke down while he was at Dickinson College. One of his roommates had a good experience with T&M so we took a chance. Wow! Called in last minute for a car inspection. Was like my fifth place to call, all other were booked and couldn't squeeze me in anywhere. I am a pastor in Ohio. Was returning home from New York when my cat wouldn't start after refueling at pilot gas station. I thought it was bad gas or sensor. Vehicle stopped at 11pm. I couldn't get help until 7 am. I called AAA. They came and said it was fuel pump. I was very concerned being a traveler in a strange city I thought the worse. I figured it would cost me double than it would if I was my home with my mechanic. Needless to say the cost was tremendously less and very affordable for my 2011 Dodge Charger.
