I recently moved to the area and had my first car breakdown ever; accelerator stopped working. I had no idea how to get my car to a shop or what could be wrong -- I just needed to be able to commute to work hopefully soon. I tried two other shops before trying Bob's, one where I had to leave a message and they never got back to me, and another where they could only start working on my vehicle two days after it arrived. That wouldn't cut it. I was relieved to have Bob answer the phone, understand my urgency, and even have a tow truck available to pick up my car from my neighborhood lot. I was able to have my insurance arrange the delivery, though, and before the end of the day I had a diagnosis about a battery and alternator swap. The next day, the work was complete, and he offered to pick me up and bring me to his garage to fill out the paperwork. Sure enough, my car rolled up the next morning with Bob in the driver's seat. I'm so thankful to had had his open communication, professional attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for a 20-something with little vehicle expertise. I'm hoping with this car I won't have to reach out because of problems again, but I know exactly who to call when I need something done.

I handed them problems with a 1990s Dodge Caravan and Ford Taurus that should have ended with either of them towed to a scrap yard. Anyone else would have given up. Greg knew that my family was on a budget and we were not in a position to buy, so he was honest about what HAD to be done, what SHOULD be done, and how much it would cost just to keep us safe and legal. He made sure to keep our bill managable and explained problems to us in simple English. All the work was done promptly and correctly. The few times there were delays, someone was on the phone to me with updates. Whenever someone takes their vehicle in on our recommendation, I hear the praise down the line that Hannold's is their new trusted mechanic shop.

C&P Towing, Automotive, and Body Shop - Dangerous, Dishonest, and Completely Unfit for Business…read more I'm leaving this review to strongly warn others--do not take your vehicle to C&P Towing, Automotive, and Body Shop under any circumstance. What happened to me wasn't just unprofessional--it was dangerous, negligent, and borderline fraudulent. I brought my diesel truck in for repairs. After weeks of silence, they finally told me it was ready. I picked it up and, trusting their word, let my wife drive it. While driving on the highway, the truck suddenly lost power, creating a serious safety hazard that could have resulted in a fatal accident. I immediately had the truck towed back to C&P, expecting them to make it right. Instead: The truck sat for weeks with no updates. It was left unlocked in an unfenced lot along a public road, with my personal documents still inside. It was missing the fuel filler cap and once again non-operational. After finally giving up, I had it towed to a professional shop--Zimmey's Automotive--who discovered 1.5 gallons of water in the fuel tank, likely due to vandalism because of C&P's total lack of vehicle security. Zimmey's diagnosed and resolved the actual issue within four days, with clear communication the entire time. To make matters worse, C&P requested cash payment--a red flag suggesting they're dodging accountability (and possibly taxes). No receipts. No documentation. No professionalism. Just delay, deflection, and damage. They misdiagnosed the problem, failed to fix it, risked my family's safety, and left my truck vulnerable to further damage. Then they disappeared refusing to do any work when the truck was returned to them. C&P is not a business you can trust. They are negligent, evasive, and flat-out dangerous. Save yourself the risk, the expense, and the potential tragedy. Zimmey's Automotive was everything C&P is not--honest, fast, competent, and professional.

The one nearby told me they stopped doing that years ago and said I was basically on my own. So I called around and found C&P. They said they could provide a free check. I drove right over and they helped me right away. The code said I needed fuel injector cleaner. They told me I could basically use acetone which is less expensive. They poured some in my tank, reset the light, told me to add some at the next 5 fill ups and sent me on my way. I asked "What do I owe?" and they said "Don't worry about it." Great bunch of guys! They told me I needed new brakes and rotors, which I purchased and they installed.. 1 week later my brake and traction warning lights were on. My car is driving fine, as always. No issues whatsoever, Just the warning lights. I took back to pep boys for a diagnosis. They said I needed a new master cylinder and new alternator. DO NOT take your vehicle here if you want an honest mechanic. I had 2 other reputable mechanics look at my vehicle after Pep Boys $2,000 diagnosis for a new master and alternator, with no explanation why or how.. Just the response," thats what came up" with apparently no other explanation.. I paid yet another diagnosic bill, then left for more opinions. The "problems" and lights were all fixed simply by installing a new $200 battery. That is all that was ever needed. I am so disappointed by these actions. Roy Nye was our mechanic for 20 yrs there. Sadly he passed away. Huge loss for Pep Boys. He was the last of the good ones. Time to change!
