Asian grocery store located inside the plaza of Langham Square. Parking situation is a disaster here since there's so many food establishments around. But they also have an underground parking which has more spots available. I noticed that this T&T Supermarket is definitely on the smaller side compared to their other locations, especially the one at Warden & Steeles that is much bigger. Selection here is also less since their space is smaller. I came and got lucky with finding their viral $12 fried whole chicken and knew I had to get myself one. Took it home to have for dinner and it was delicious and definitely a bang for buck type of item. You can find prepared foods here like sushi, breads, dim sum, chinese dinner dishes and more. I like their loaves of bread here as there is a huge selection of this ranging from sweet to savoury. They have a fresh meat counter and seafood counter as well so your items can be as fresh as possible. They have self check out areas too if you're looking to check out without speaking to anyone. It's located in a very busy plaza and it's always difficult to find parking. I would recommend avoiding this plaza on weekends if possible. You can also park on the side streets near the park and walk over. I come here pretty often to grab groceries. This store is pretty big compared to the one in downtown. I've been ordering their cakes as well. They offer cartoon cakes which is awesome, perfect for kids birthdays. The prices are pretty decent. I definitely prefer their cakes over other places as it's not overly sweet. read more

There probably will never be a shortage of Chinese food and groceries in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, as there are dime-a-dozen Chinese supermarkets, stores, & restaurants. Many Chinese immigrants from Southeast Asia moved to Toronto after the Vietnam War & 200,000 more immigrants from Hong Kong arrived during the 1980's & 1990's due to the takeover of Hong Kong by China in 1997. Visited during a trip to Toronto and enjoyed seeing all the unique snacks and large selection of items. One of my favorite finds was the collection of unique flavors of Lay's chips. Notable mentions include the grilled piglet chips and chicken feet chips (which I had to bring back home to try)! Other items that we purchased include a durian and preserved five spice quail eggs among other groceries. 3.5 stars As with many chain/franchised business they're pretty much all the same and I like this T&T. I find the parking situation on the chaotic side so it's not as pleasant coming here. This one is considerably smaller than the other stand alone stores and everything is more compact. There's the regular sections that you see at every T&T and even hot food such as noodles, meals, bubble tea. My mom mentioned that the prices are cheaper so that's a bonus point for this location. I tried the Korean sticky rice buns and it's not like the ones in Seoul. I was disappointed. read more

This review is for the T&T Bakery section. The customer service was mediocre, as the staff were extremely curt and unhelpful which was unexpected for this well-known chain. We pre-ordered the Chestnut cake for a birthday ($20.99 for 6"), expecting it to be fresh. We also requested a birthday message to be written on the cake. When we picked up the cake, the chocolate piece containing the message was in a separate plastic container. We noticed after we left that the message was smudged. We had to physically put the chocolate piece onto the cake ourselves, which was inconvenient. The size of the chocolate piece covered more than half the cake and the fruits, which made it look unappealing from the front. The cake itself tasted alright, but the presentation and service was subpar. This would not be my first choice to order a cake for a special occasion. read more

A much smaller T & T, and despite the prices are high, this T & T is one of the less busiest. Fortunately for them, there is a lot of condos and houses nearby. Therefore, they get a lot of visitors. The grocery store is clean. There used to mini section for kids but sadly due to Covid, they turned this into a storage space There is parking but it can be hectic because the plaza is quite narrowed and getting in and out the underground parking can be tough. Always love coming to t&t supermarket for groceries, they really have everything. Was here one day with my mother and noticed that they now sell Sushi Burritoes. I decided to give one a try, because it was cheap and I was hungry so why not. The sushi burrito itself was not bad, I got it earlier in the day so it was made fresh. This T&T disappoints me. It's a shithole disguised as something spectacular - even though it looks pretty clean and has a lot of variety, I definitely prefer the other ones in the GTA. yeah, there's underground parking but this lot is soooo overcrowded and during the weekends, GOOD LUCK - the one way turns into a place confused families go to ponder. The amount of 'almost-accidents' I've witnessed here are r o u g h. I've been here during regular hours and it's usually ok. A bit crowded with more population in this area but nothing too crazy. I usually quite like T&T with the hot food bar, soups, and anything you need for an asian household - you can find here. Oh and tons of snacks. During off times (came Sunday after 9), they open 1 or 2 lanes and there's probably 20+ people waiting to pay, tons of workers walking around doing nothing and it's just super messy. Nobody is willing to pop behind a counter, punch their code in and help scan people with less than 5 items. Me, with 1 item having to wait behind tons of ladies trying to price match their 100 items. Not worth it. I asked several ladies just chilling behind the food counters if they can help me scan 1 hot food item and they all say no. I'm not going to wait half an hour to pay for 1 item.. I ended up pouring my hot soup back into their pot and got a dirty look from the lady who refused to ring me up lol... it was either that or steal it??? There are tons of T&T supermarkets, but this T&T is very different from the others in the GTA. Reason?! It has an UNDERGROUND parking. For some who are petrified of squishy and spooky underground parking spaces, you might be delighted to find that although driving through this underground parking might be a bit squishy, the parking spaces are a fair size, and that it's very far from a spooky underground parking. That's because there's ALWAYS people walking underground here - I find it rare to be the only one moving in the underground parking lot. To accommodate for the underground parking, they have automated cart escalators which allows you to bring your groceries down to your car after shopping. The T&T itself is nice and clean, and it's definitely convenient to those who might live in the residential building above. The sections of the grocery store is well spaced out, with a wide selection of promotional items, and fresh produce in the front, followed by the bakery, cooked foods, meat, fish and frozen foods following. This T&T also has it's own beauty store section if you want to pick up a few products for your skin or face. In between the aisles, there's a wide selection of instant foods and snacks that are filling for any of your cravings. The washroom is just to the right after the cash registers. Everything is fairly easy to find at this T&T and it's very clean. If it's raining or snowing a lot outside, I really enjoy coming here to escape needing to walk outside and have an underground space to enjoy my shopping. read more

Gonna down one star for my recent visits to this T&T. This is still the T&T I regularly go to, due to the underground parking lot and the fact bags here are free (though personally I don't think that should be a determining factor as consuming plastic bags is bad for the environment). However, the food quality here has taken quite a hit in recent months, to the point I'm starting to reconsider going back to the Warden store. The produce section, in particular, is of concern here. Two weekends in a row their green onions had a lot of black spots in them, and last weekend especially some of their green onions had purple spots as well. Their veggies are also unnecessarily wet...I can understand preserving the freshness, but there's no reason for it to be as wet as your hair immediately after you finish a shower. Some of their prices have also increased astronomically in recent months. Live tilapia in the seafood section used to be $4.99/lb, but it's up to $5.99/lb now...just for tilapia. Despite the negativity, I will say the service here is miles better than any other T&Ts in Markham. Everyone seems extremely happy, no matter who you talk to. The cashiers are even nicer to talk to, as many do try and start a casual conversation with you. Love it! read more

It's somewhat smaller than others but the selection is pretty similar. The aisles are a lot narrower. This store is also much newer and cleaner than other Asian supermarkets. All the meat, seafood, and vegetables are very fresh here. There's beauty/cosmetics shop inside the supermarket. Other T&Ts only have a small section. The bakery/sushi/pre-made food sections are pretty small though. This store is very efficient at clearing out old stock; I always see the staff checking the best before dates on the products. read more

This T&T Supermarket is quite disappoint me. Their produce products are not fresh. I saw fruit flies a couple times. Their meat is also not fresh. I only buy dry goods, frozen goods, snacks, and some skin care products in this location. They have better choices of snacks than other Chinese supermarket. I can always find some new snacks to try!! But you have to be more aware of the expiry date of the product. I was there on a Thursday afternoon and wanna buy their prawn cracker... then I found out that all their prawn crackers were expired on past Monday Parking is crazy in weeknights and weekend... The new T&T Supermarket in Unionville is great. the semi-underground parking takes a bit of time to get used to, the flow isn't quite right yet. and it's so new that the smell of new paint still there. (may be the rain does adds a bit of smell too.) I like escalator, and the one that have here has a special feature that takes your cart from the supermarket's floor to the lower parking floor. first thing you see are the items that are currently on sales. and you will see the big produce area. sushi bar, noodle bar, and bubble tea counter are something you don't really expect in a supermarket, but they are here in the new T&T supermarket. the aisle width is perfect, much wider than the usual T&T. and something is different too, I don't know if it's the color choice of the ceiling or the overall color gives me a different feel. I can see this T&T will be really busy at evening rush hour, as it's really close to the Go train station, and Kennedy Rd. always have tons of traffic, but would be great to visit at late nights. 14/15 read more

It's the king of Asian grocery stores in the area. What's unique? It embodies a Fresh Market concept, fresh handmade noodle bar, made to order sushi bar, fresh dumplings, open bakery, the design elements are excellent here. Surely this is considered an example store akin to HQ Loblaw's at Maple Leaf downtown. Quite a sight really although it may not be the biggest grocer with the largest selection, it's the most attractive looking Asian super market I've been to in Toronto, Vancouver, and Los Angeles Plenty of free underground parking available even on a Sunday afternoon. I did try some sushi here, dynamite roll and spicy salmon sushi roll -- it wasn't that great. Too much rice and the rice didn't taste right either. But anyways.. There is a great selection of foods here. The value is incredible. Three items with steamed rice costed me 7.50+tax. I eat a lot and it lasted me two meals! The sushi is excellent, especially considering its "grocery sushi". Lots of rolls, trimmings and even the occasional full slab of fresh salmon that you can cut up for sashimi. They have a prettu cool custom soup station as well. Lots of choices to add in such as tendon, tripe, eggs, sausage, seaweed and so on. Its always hot and yummy and usually it ends up around $7.00-8.00. It does fluctuate though because they price ot by weight. Though its a very clean store, I wouldnt do my regular grocery shopping here. Its a little bit pricey compared to foody so I would rather just go there for everything else. I have a love-hate relationship with T&T (especially this location) because it's closest to my house, hard to find parking although there is underground...the parking spaces are smaller than other plaza(s).. There is practically nothing in this plaza to shop in, only T&T that takes up the biggest space..there are a few stores up the escalator but this plaza/mall is just like another Splendid Mall (@ Kennedy and Steeles) when most people were thinking that Splendid would be a big hit since it was close to Market Village and Pacific Mall but it ended up being a dead mall.... The only thing I like about this T&T is the eating area where there are numerous seats with the noodle bar...It's comfortable...alot of hot foods is all lined up on one side of the store....like most chinese supermarkets....communication is somewhat of an issue, when I'm asking for help...even in Cantonese because they all speak mandarin...boooo!!!! read more

Decent selection of groceries, although prices tend to be a bit higher than other Asian supermarkets nearby. Their general environment is very clean and well kept; in particular, their fish market is one of the cleanest ones I've seen. On weekends they have small booths for samples and Saturday mornings there are certain dimsum specials (although the prices are better at the T & T near Milliken). The parking here is definitely a plus, with lots of spaces, especially because the other smaller stores don't get too much business. There's underground and above-ground parking which is very convenient in the rain/snow. read more

Time for a brief update. The lighting has brighten up since my last review. It is all bright, bright, bright now. For a store of this size, the selection is impressively huge. It means the lanes get crowded, and each offering has fewer inventories. To achieve this without running out of stock, my kudo to management for careful inventory control. The produce, fruit, meat and bakeries are top quality fresh. Products related to seasons celebrations are displayed boldly at front entrance. You can't miss the presentation. Staffs are knowledgeable when I approach them for assistance. Otherwise, they keep to themselves and are busy at work. Prices are very high for a Chinese grocer in Markham area, which is not a surprise. As a chain, T&T is a good grocer. It offers fresh and quality products. The place is always clean. You may pay more, but you have the confidence that the products are good, and package goods are not knockoffs. For this location, it is compact and comprehensive. It can serve your everyday grocery needs all right. read more

THis particular T&T location is smaller and more compact than their other locations but does offer everything you need and enjoy about the Asian supermarket. Produce is always fresh (as many other asian grocers they usually have specials which are incredibly cheap). There are signs stating they can offer smaller portions or fruit or produce if the pre-packaged ones are too large for your needs. Baked goods always delicious as usual, their egg tarts are very good and this location also offers some unique sweets more on the korean side as well (how authentic they are, I couldn't tell you). The preparecd food counter is constantly pushing out freshly cooked hot meals to go which is very convenient for the condo dwellers above. This locations also offers more of a variety of meats (organic, free range, drug/hormone free, etc) the service counter is clean and the staff is always attentive, same goes for the seafood counter as well. There is also a beauty section in the store which I haven't ventured into yet but it's safe to say T&T is your one stop shop for quality asian groceries that are fresh and reasonably priced. read more

This is an excellent location to have a T&T, but the parking situation will be an absolute nightmare. My prediction is once this commercial complex is fully thriving, the driving skills of my people will further suffer a blunder. This place is bloody organised! Vegetables filed in straighter ranks that could be found in the Military, Seafood so neatly arranged that you'd think the fish reserved each spot they occupy like human reserve burial plots. The lighting for the floor space is unique to all other T&T locations within the GTA area, it has the café ambiance, if cafés were warehouse sized. What a pleasure it is to shop here. It carries all the excitement that comes with a Chinese grocer. Buzzing with people, browsing the seemingly endless rolls of exotic merchandise. There is a full sized pastry area serving a grandiose of delicate pieces of cutesy baked items that I couldn't identify if my life depended on it. There are a good selection of cakes also in the effigy of animals. Panda being the most popular, of course. The prepared food section is undoubtedly the very best among all the T&T I've frequented. The sushi here simply looks better tasting. Again, lighting is probably a huge factor. The noodle section boasts fresher looking condiments, and the 2-4 items with rice area (my favourite) offer slightly healthful ingredients. Even the pork belly tastes like it was made with half the sodium. The sit down area to enjoy your food is a bit small, and feels rather conspicuous, which isn't the best setting for public eating. Expect to sit directly next to strangers. Did I mention that there is a full garage sized area for Asian beauty products? The paling light illuminates the hell of every funny named exfoliant, cream, and God knows what else being sold here. It is shiny, so OUUUU AHHHH! This might be the nicest T&T in the GTA, and I've been to nearly all of them. It's not the biggest, but it has the widest variety of goods from different parts of Asia. Think Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese in addition to your typical Chinese staples. T&T Unionville has the given Bakery/Meat/Seafood departments, but there's also a luxury skincare franchise within the store, as well as a substantial selection of books in Simplified Chinese. This location had a ton of samples on a weekend afternoon, including some really different products such as Taiwanese mille crepe cakes, and Japanese milk pudding. I've been coming to this store since it opened, because it's literally, at a the end of my street. It takes me 3 minutes to walk here but I always drive. I like how clean the store is and there's a good variety of Taiwanese foods/snacks/drinks. Most groceries are a bit more expensive than other Chinese supermarkets but it is owned by Loblaws. I don't recommend the bakery though. Their in-house made cakes and pastries look delicious but are generally very bad tasting. We've tried various individual cream cakes, cheesecakes etc and we've thrown them away, after one bite. Needless to say, we've never been brave enough to get a birthday cake from here. Today, I saw a mouldy bun in a bag of buns, for sale. I've also seen mouldy deli meats here before too. The fish and meat counters usually have very fresh produce, I've never had a problem with their meats or fish. They have a beauty store/pharmacy here too but their products are a bit more expensive than Pacific Mall. Parking can be terrible here, the lot is full but the plaza is empty. There is underground parking but there's lots of sharp turns and some insulation dropping from the ceiling that has a really strong chemical smell. Checkout staff are usually very friendly and courteous here. That's why I usually shop here 3/4 times a week. read more

This T&T is always bustling but I love that they announce when discount sushi is on and if there are any specials on periodically while you're shopping. I also enjoy the food at the hot food section -- while I do think there are better places to get the chat siu and duck it's fairly convenient if you're already at T&T shopping. The noodles and dim sum bar is top notch and when sticky rice season arrives, T&T always has a huge selection of cold and hot sticky rice for a fair price. Overall, I like shopping here for small things here and there -- let's be real it's mostly the discount food at the end of the night just because it's cheap and fast. I do however hate the speed bumps inside the underground tunnels they really do take a toll on your car :S 6/10 Fruits: Great Selection, however quantities of fruits display out is lacking. Comparing Foody Mart has a much more tropical presentation. 6.5/10 Produce: Very nicely laid out in the open refrigerators with timed mist spray to keep produce looking fresh throughout the day. Much better than other oriental competitors. 8.5/10 Sushi: The sushi at T&T in my opinion is not that great, the Sushi is visually appealing but is very bland in taste and loaded with bland rice. If your looking for good supermarket sushi I Highly recommend Sunny Supermarket'a Sushi. 7/10 Meat: Impressive by Oriental Standards, the display case visually pleasing, clean and well ventilated with no foul meat odor in the department. T&T is the only oriental supermarket which I feel confident in buying meat from. 8.5 Seafood: Clean, no foul fish rot smell. Fish is kept fresh on counter coated with ice. The seafood department is one of the key indicators in judging a store's overall sanitation practices if they are able to maintain standards here the whole store passes. 8.5/10 Hot Foods: A bit lacking in choices compared to other T&T locations. Portions are more than fair 9 out of 10 times. You got your standard DIM Sum counters, Hot food, BBQ, Noodles and Congee stations with dine in available. 7.5/10 Bakery: T&T bakery offers pasties and buns that are above supermarket standards. They are comparable if not better than stand alone Asian bakeries. Bakery alone scores 9.5/10. Every other sections is pretty standard, diary, soy, juice, you've got a great selection of oriental products. Even though a bit small the store has everything to cover your weekly shopping needs. Weekly Specials: Sometimes you have Asian supermarket flyers that advertise a bunch non-practical items on sale. you can be sure that T&T's specials keep bringing back customers because there is not a week without great deals. I was really disappointed in this T&T. Although it looks huge, the selection of food wasn't really great. I ended up getting some hot food and again, it was sub par compared to other T&T locations. My favourite is still the one located in Promenade Mall. read more

This is the only T&T location I will dare venture into because the parking lot doesn't make me want to grip my steering wheel in fear of the Asian drivers. This location is located in Langham Square which is a very empty mall which makes parking a breeze. The underground parking can be a bit cramped if you don't know what you are doing. The underground is very large and if you keep driving you will find more and more parking. I just recently found a second floor for underground parking! What I like most about this location is that there are ALWAYS samples. I usually only go on fridays and saturdays to get my nails done upstairs at Nailed It. I often stop in T&T before and after my appointment to catch the noms. Always ladies with food there. Even at 5pm on a saturday! I've been to other locations at 1pm and not a single sample lady in sight. Hell the ladies here just give the samples aways, I basically have a full on meal there. One time there were drinks, noodles, wontons, and a dessert sample. Did 2 rounds and they didn't even bat an eye. The location is also very clean and like other Asian supermarkets the workers don't talk to you unless you ask them sometime. read more

This T&T is probably one of the better ones because the underground parking is pretty convenient for those rainy days and winter months. I do however find the prices a little more expensive than their competitors. It's nice that they accept coupons there. Most Asian supermarket don't accept them. The supermarket is clean, however I found the aisles are pretty tight especially around the bakery / hot foods / sushi area. read more

My go to supermarket! Clean chinese grocery store with your common western items. Seafood is fresh, and has a wide range of frozen products. Cooked food is a bonus too! I have spent multiple lunch break in this foodcourt and the food is decent and abundant too. Lots of parking in the basement. read more

This T&T is one of the smaller ones I've been to. It's definitely smaller than the one at Warden and Steeles and probably smaller than the one at Middlefield and Steeles. But the underground parking is great if you don't like going outside in the rain or snow. The one thing I really like is the middle part between the escalators. You can easily transport your shopping cart and groceries down to the underground parking lot. For some people it may seem a little useless, but I think elders and pregnant women would totally benefit from this. The food offerings at this location is also slightly different. They have special sushi rolls in this location and they seemed to be better made. You can order special rolls on the spot. Taste wise it was alright, exactly what you would expect from a grocery. I am not sure if other locations have the handmade dumplings like this location does. But I ordered a dumpling and noodles soup here and it's comparable to some restaurants. I will come back for their other noodle offerings. The bbq, hot food, dim sum is pretty much exactly the same as it is at other locations. I think it's probably due to the fact that this location is having more grand opening specials, but some of their products are a touch cheaper than other T&T locations. As with all other T&T locations, their service is better than other busy groceries. Everyone working here is really nice and polite. I don't buy a whole cart full of groceries every week so this place is perfect for me as I like the clean tidy layout and the good service they offer. read more

This review is just for the beauty section and bakery in T&T. Beauty section: if you want to permanently mask your face in a large assortment of face masks, you're in the right area! They also sell that crazy face masks that makes you look like a creepy panda or tiger. Think Donnie Darko rabbit creepy. The saleslady wasn't pushy and was helpful if you had questions. She spoke mandarin, Cantonese and English. The prices are okay, but it's a good place to get Asian skincare products along with your groceries. The masks go on sale pretty often, so it's worthwhile to wait. Bakery: I find that their cakes are tastier than most of the bakeries in the area, even if they are a little more expensive. Well decorated, fresh fruits and not overly sweet or creamy. I also love their easy to carry packaging. However, I'm not a big fan of their buns, mostly because I don't really eat Chinese baked buns. This T and T is pretty empty compared to Warden and Steeles. I like the short line up at this location. read more

One of the nicer T&T's I've been to. The layout and concept for the prepared foods and bakery is more user friendly than the standard others. They have a dumpling counter where fresh dumplings are made that you take home to cook. I also saw this concept at the Major Mack store, definately an addition in their new concept locations. Big plus is that they bag your groceries in a plastic bag. Is it just me or do you get annoyed when they stopped giving away bags also meant stopping to bag your groceries even when you provide your own bag? Only downfall to this store is the lack of parking in the front. The area isn't really busy and I'd be hesistant to come here late at night to park my car. Parking underground when you are by yourself at night is not a good option. Another con is that you enter through a side street. read more

Underground parking is amazing during freezing rain!! I was hurry to get party stuff for my Christmas party after work. Everywhere was muddy and slippery but thanks T&T Unionville provides underground parking so I didn't get messy. I came to that store on grand opening but very disappointed about its traffic. It was terrible that the underground parking had so many speed bumps and no stop sign. I had to get out the parking lot over 30 min. However, it improves a lot that no more speed bump and more stop signs around. I can park with no worry! The price is much cheaper than other supermarkets nearby, but I'm surprised why not many shoppers around the store? But it's good for me as customer that I don't need to line up forever at the cashier!! Yesterday just saw a new cosmetic section in store. Not interested to me but I guess ladies would be crazy about it. read more
