Usually I regret going anywhere else and kick myself for not just coming here. I moved to Skowhegan so I tried a couple garages near me, but again, came back to Hardings. They were ok, but didn't compare and often I'd have to take my vehicle back to fix things they missed or didn't do right. I can tell you in all the years I've been using Hardings I don't think that has ever happened! They are thorough, honest, and very competent. I have had a lot of really bad experiences over the years with repair shops so I don't trust hardly anyone!! I trust Joe at Hardings. That is saying a lot coming from me. Joe is upfront, real and honest. He tells it like it is and I know if he tells me something needs to be done it does and I don't have to wonder if he's BS-ing me. He will break it down for you also, tell you what has to be done now, what can possibly wait a bit, etc. He will work with you. I recently tried another place recommended by someone else, as they were much cheaper, big mistake! They went over their estimate by $200 & didn't even call to tell me & wanted to do other work that was not necessary. I went back to Hardings and now have my truck up and running great and inspected. Lesson learned. I'll be a customer for life. My aunt has been a customer for over 25 years and has been treated so good she NEVER goes anywhere else and always sings their praises. You truly get what you pay for, as they say. Harding's may not be the cheapest around (although still reasonable!) but they are the best, IMO. I know my car is going to be fixed right when I go there and I won't be told they can't figure out the issue, as I've had happen at other places. They do everything, including rust repair too. But so far I have no concerns about the people, who are friendly and seem quite honest to me. I mean, it is a late model vehicle, but I once had one of those quick lube and oil chain stores try to sell me $200 worth of filters with a simple oil change. I have no such worries here. They were able to get me in quickly and charged a very reasonable amount. The quality of the work also seems fine, though I can't say I have exactly challenged them yet with my services! They have a real waiting room in their sales building, something you take for granted until you start going to small town garages, and plenty of parking. All this and handy here in town also.
