Usually I regret going anywhere else and kick myself for not just coming here. I moved to Skowhegan so I tried a couple garages near me, but again, came back to Hardings. They were ok, but didn't compare and often I'd have to take my vehicle back to fix things they missed or didn't do right. I can tell you in all the years I've been using Hardings I don't think that has ever happened! They are thorough, honest, and very competent. I have had a lot of really bad experiences over the years with repair shops so I don't trust hardly anyone!! I trust Joe at Hardings. That is saying a lot coming from me. Joe is upfront, real and honest. He tells it like it is and I know if he tells me something needs to be done it does and I don't have to wonder if he's BS-ing me. He will break it down for you also, tell you what has to be done now, what can possibly wait a bit, etc. He will work with you. I recently tried another place recommended by someone else, as they were much cheaper, big mistake! They went over their estimate by $200 & didn't even call to tell me & wanted to do other work that was not necessary. I went back to Hardings and now have my truck up and running great and inspected. Lesson learned. I'll be a customer for life. My aunt has been a customer for over 25 years and has been treated so good she NEVER goes anywhere else and always sings their praises. You truly get what you pay for, as they say. Harding's may not be the cheapest around (although still reasonable!) but they are the best, IMO. I know my car is going to be fixed right when I go there and I won't be told they can't figure out the issue, as I've had happen at other places. They do everything, including rust repair too. So now when the wind hits it it doesn't stay in place and you can see the paint on my mirror where he hit it. He denied it instead of being decent and coming good for his mistake. My manager was with me when i dropped my truck off and she knows as well it wasn't like that before. He was supposed to do the rear break line still leaks after hours of working on a very simple break line job. well he loves zip ties that's for sure he will zip tie your whole vehicle if he could. Prior to him opening this garage he also used to work for ramsdells in hartland which at that time him and the owners son of that garage tried to do a fuel pump and broke the air flow off the gastank and decided to glue it back on what Scott and that other guy did cost me thousands too fix. We were hauling our 44ft toy hauler with our GMC one ton when we sheared off not one, not two lug nuts and bolts but 4. So a flatbead AND another wrecker came to assist us. They were quick to get to us. They knew we were in an unsafe location for us and traffic. They got us loaded and hooked up easily and safely. Well as luck runs the next vehicle to go down was one of their trucks. The one with our rig threw a rod. Our rig bares the evidence of the hydraulic fluid. Well they got us to safety and grabbed their big boy wrecker to tow the other wrecker AND our rig. They have graciously let us live in our rig (offered full hook ups) till the truck is ready plus they will clean the rig. The office staff is dynomite as are all the drivers and the owner. This morning first thing, they are working on our truck. Thanks for the awesome experience.
