Erin provided full-service planning for our wedding and was incredibly professional, responsive and detail-oriented. We were living in New York City and planning to hold the wedding at my family's vineyard in Murphys, so we needed someone on the ground who really knew the area and vendors and could communicate concepts and logistics efficiently over phone and email, as well as make the most out of limited in-person visits. We were so impressed with Erin's ability to perfectly understand our vision, the look and feel we were going for based on just a few phone conversations, two in-person visits and some back-and-forth feedback on Pinterest images. All of that to say, even a just moderate amount of guidance goes very far with Erin. In terms of personality, Erin struck a good balance between being personable/fun/making us feel comfortable and being very focused and getting down to business. She enabled us to enjoy the planning process while also keeping us on track. Erin is also a straight-shooter and will give you a sense of what is do-able and what might need adjusting. In those cases, however, she never seems to say "no", but rather a "what about this approach"...and they are usually really great ideas. On the day of the wedding, Erin and her team were amazing. So patient with guests and moving the schedule along perfectly. Erin runs a tight ship without anyone really noticing--every scheduled piece was totally on-time! During the reception dinner we inevitably would have guests coming up to us, one after the other, to congratulate us and chat, which is expected. As a result, we really weren't eating and needed to move onto the cake cutting or something. Erin, very smoothly, would kindly interrupt and get us back to finish our dinner so that we could move on. I really appreciated that because we as the couple don't really want to cut these conversations short. I would absolutely recommend Erin and her team for events in the area. My wife and I wanted to do a Keto diet and she was able to make food that kept us on the diet and we were thrilled with the quality of our meals. Honestly, I've never seen any personal chef be able to accommodate so many needs so easily. SHE IS WORTH HER FEE!! Trust me, she's probably charging too little for the service she provides.

Ryan and Sound Extreme were amazing!! We hired Ryan (the owner) as the DJ for our wedding at Rush…read moreCreek Lodge on November 2nd and it could not have gone better! The planning process was very organized and Sound Extreme's online planning tool was so helpful in choosing all of the special songs (first dance, processional, etc). We had two skype/facetime meetings with Ryan before the wedding to go over details (event order, special songs, what to expect, etc) and we had no doubts that everything would go smoothly. I didn't worry about it at all on the day of the wedding, and knew I could trust Ryan and his team (including Sarah, the mirror photobooth attendant) to be there, on time, and do their job. Ryan was very attentive both after the ceremony (he even brought us water afterwards) and during the reception. He totally kept the party going and several people complimented us on having such a fun wedding. Ryan surprised us with fun lights and glowsticks during the dancing portion of the reception, and we had the most amazing time. Ryan is a professional, and we put the music in his very capable hands. We included songs on our must play, play if possible, and do not play lists, and asked that he use his professional judgment in selecting what to play. We're so happy we did this, and if we ever need a DJ in the future we know who we're going to call!!! I would highly recommend that you hire Ryan for your wedding or special event!

You…read moreaddressed the photo booth operator's attitude in a defensive manner, but incessantly fail to accept that THIS particular photo booth did not function properly. I never said anything about ALL your booths. The screen was black. Look into it, and stop blaming me for concocting lies. Getting one more turn in the photo booth after two sessions is not that serious. Also, I blurred the images to protect the identities of those in the photos. The album is "private". It's not cool to post pictures of people without their knowledge. It's funny you think I was trying to pass it off as a photo from your booth though. The purpose was to illustrate the heads cut off. I could get more, but my point has been proven. This is on principle. You accused me of lying in the first response. So I responded with "new fervor". I was simply a guest at this event expressing my dissatisfaction and voicing that of the other guests. Continue to negate responsibility though. At this point, I'd most definitely not recommend any other of your services knowing this is how you handle customer disappointments. Not cool Ryan, to publicize photos of customers who opted for a "PRIVATE" album. It definitely proves your original claim was untruthful though. Mission complete!

We looked at many photographers and talked with a handful over the phone or in person. We ended up picking Joleen since she was someone that we were very comfortable talking with and she had an amazing portfolio. Her prices were really reasonable and fit within our budget. We were really happy that she offers an engagement shoot as part of a package since we knew that getting comfortable with your photographer before your wedding day is so important! Joleen offers a great mix of organization and spontaneity. In the case of our engagement shoot, she was up for lots of climbing up and down San Francisco stairs and helped make us comfortable and confident so she could capture us really well. Her final photos for the engagement shoot were wonderful and we knew that she'd do a great job with our wedding day. We had a number of beautiful images to choose from for our save the date, moving announcement, wedding website, family gifts, and even a custom jigsaw puzzle. In the planning of our wedding day, Joleen was very helpful, realistic, and patient with us as we navigated our timeline. She was professional in providing expectations about how long something will take to photograph. She was responsive when it came to all of our questions and helpful in communicating guidance. On the day of the wedding, Joleen was on time and really helpful and flexible during the getting ready process, first look, and couple photos. At the venue, she did a great job orchestrating our bridal party and family photos. Joleen did a great job operating behind the scenes during the ceremony and cocktail hour. She provided the perfect amount of guidance during photo opportunities (like signing the marriage license or during the cake cutting) and was also flexible with impromptu group photos as well as the weather not being able to provide a sunset shot. Her sneak peek photos of our wedding showed her great eye and she finished our entire wedding album a few weeks ahead of schedule which we really appreciated. She did a wonderful job capturing our ceremony and reception as we enjoyed our big day. We wanted a candid feeling with our photos and Joleen delivered! She did an amazing job.

I love that she checked in to make sure the song choices and specific song edits were EXACTLY what I wanted. Then the day of the dress rehearsal and the wedding, DJ Kevin was flexible in planning the music to my exact specifications including timing of my bridal processional song which made the ceremony so beautiful!!! I highly recommend to spend the extra $$ to have him at the dress rehearsal. Makes for easier planning- less stress! If I wanted my wedding to be anything I wanted it to be a dance party and DJ Kevin brought the heat! He is very intuitive in dance picks and kept the party going till midnight. I highly recommend!
