Kind of sad, actually. Decided on Neriah because of her beautiful photos and reviews. Turns out she lost every one of my wedding photos - and made me actually ask for my deposit back (as if she was doing me a favor). A professional would have offered something - a half hour photo shoot or something to try to get some photos for us. Anything. Just a lot of meaningless words of how "sorry she was and this would never happen again". Turns out, I heard from a friend, that this was NOT THE FIRST time she'd lost someone's precious photos. Funny story on how I decided on Neriah to shoot my wedding but it all worked out in the end. I had originally planned on her doing my makeup for my big day but when I went in for the trail run I fell in love with all the photos she had hanging on her wall. I asked if she was a photographer and she gave me her rack card. SOLD, the next day I booked her! Not only is she tremendously talented, she is the sweetest soul you will ever meet. From start to finish, we were so pleased with her services. During the wedding Neriah and her assistant walked around with a big smile on their faces. When I received my pictures, I was just floored. I knew that they were going to be good because I already saw her pictures on her website, but our wedding pics just blew everything out of the water. She captured every detail so beautifully. She also did something a little different, she had drone capture our entire wedding attendees and the aerial view of the property. I can't want to see the footage! I'm so grateful I hired Neriah! She is a genuinely kind, wonderful, TALENTED person. If I could hire her to take pictures for every single major (or even minor) life event, I would. Words truly cannot express how much my husband and I loved having Neriah as our wedding photographer. If you can snag her for your wedding, DO SO ASAP!! Neriah did makeup for my wedding, and I was so impressed! She did my makeup, my mother's, my mother in law's, and my MOH's. She also did hair for the flower girls. This woman can work some miracles with a curling wand! The flower girls' hair was magical and bouncy, just as they wanted it! I was super pleased with my makeup, too. Neriah understood just what I wanted (natural, with a darker eyeliner and fake lashes). She was patient with the hectic atmosphere, showed up early, was super friendly, and went the extra mile. I was a part of a wedding that took part in the nearby town. A party of 6 that got their make up done by her and half of us really didn't like it. She literally did the same look for everyone- heavy and used the same colors, rather than cater to each of our skin tones. What really got me was my eyebrows. She told me she was finished and had me check myself out in the mirror. I wasn't impressed at all and then noticed that she didn't even fill in my brows. I asked her to fill them in and she started to- maybe did 2 or 3 strokes and then told me to fill them in myself Bc she felt that "eyebrows are really personal." Wtf lady. I'm paying YOU to make me look pretty and you refuse to fill in my brows to frame my face? Ok.... I ended up finding little specks of black from the eyeliner pencil she used all over my face too. Took off the Barbie pink lipstick she put on me that was not flattering at all. One of the girls was a jr bridesmaid and she removed all the make up and did her own once we left. She may be more of a photographer vs a make up artist, but take my word for the make up. It's got to mean something when most of the party didn't like their final result. read more

To me, the most important part of my wedding was the pictures. The photographs, along with your marriage, are the only thing you may have left of your wedding day (which FLIES by!). Our wedding pictures were finished within a few weeks of the wedding, another thing that was very important to me (I've had friends who waited a year, yikes, or even worse, didn't get items at all that were part of their package). Neriah has the experience that I needed to feel comfortable trusting her to capture our wedding, and she is so easy going and friendly and great to work with. Neriah shot my wedding at Audubon Park in New Orleans, and she captured the day so perfectly and her photos were so gorgeous, my husband and I were absolutely thrilled. She has an eye for beauty, her photos convey a sense of place and time that really makes you re-experience the day every time you look at them, and she is so much fun to work with! She put everyone at ease and got all the shots we wanted, plus many we hadn't even imagined.
