She is very gentle with the dogs and I have 1 difficult dog who was a rescue and had ran the streets of Mexico before I got him He can be a biter but Shawna was very gentle with him and spoke to him the whole time. My other one is easier while she also needs clipping and has medicaI problems and Shawna never upset her nor did she have a seizure. I am very happy with her services and I highly recommend her. After reading several reviews on Yelp I called and set up an appointment for a few days off. Spoke with Shawna the owner and explained we were needing to try the mobile dog grooming due to an illness issue with one of our dogs. She was understanding and very helpful. She arrived on time. Came in and met both of our beagles and took them out to her mobile grooming van in about an hour she was able to bathe them both, trim nails, clean ears, express anal glands and trim paw pads. I will be calling Shawna back in the future as she is actually cheaper than Petco for the same services and WAY more convenient. read more

I must agree with the other reviewers, Shawna did an excellent job on my very nervous Cocker Spaniel. She arrived ahead of schedule (texted me first to make sure it was okay) in her self-sufficient van, ready to meet my dog (one week out of the local shelter). She was extremely cordial to both me and my dog, taking the time to make sure Tucker (the dog) felt a bit more comfortable with her. I felt secure and asked if it was okay to visit throughout the grooming session. Shawna had no problem with that at all. In fact, with my dog being a bit on the anxious side, especially at trimming time, she welcomed my being their due to the calming affect on Tucker. By the time he was done (just under 2 hours), he looked and smelled great! Her price was very reasonable, and her attitude and professionalism were terrific. I will definitely use Local Dog again when Tucker is in need of grooming. read more
