This place is absolutely disgusting. The floors of the dressing room look like they haven't been cleaned whatsoever in well over a year. The bathrooms - just don't even walk in. No soap. Toilets filled to the brim. The line is always 20+ minutes. Longest I've waited was around 50 minutes. However, the selection is decent. Just don't try anything on, use the bathroom, and budget your time for the long wait in line. read more

This TJ Maxx is a problem. It is so unorganized and in disarray each time I come in. I get it, you organize the shelves, customers come in and they're the ones who destroy the hard work of the employees tidying up the shelves right? Wrong. When the store opens at 9 and you come in at 9:10 and the store is in shambles, it's not the customers messing the place up, the store was never cleaned to begin with. I'm referring to the back area where the stationary and photo albums are kept. It literally looks like someone dumped a bin onto a shelf and walked away. Products become damaged that way and the employees are really doing the store a disservice by not caring about keeping their products well maintained. Nobody wants to dig through a shelf to find what they want and chances are by the time they do dig through, the product they want will be damaged. The cooking aisles are a mess, everything is on the floor and not stacked in the place it should be. It kind of feels like a TJ Maxx outlet store where it's the junk from other TJ Maxx stores that was just thrown about here. Their clothes, forget about it, a mess. Their coats? Don't bother, the sizes are never in the right place. Their children and baby books are located at the front of the store and the other day I could not find ONE book that wasn't ripped or dented in the corners. This is not a used items store. I am not about to buy a book that looks like someone had it for a month and threw it around their house a couple of times. Also TJ Maxx, why do you insist on putting price sticky tags right on a glass or plate. I am so over scrubbing my plates incessantly trying to remove your difficult price labels. Ugh. read more

Always HOT in this store ! Today it was so hot and stuffy I had to leave. Whoever owns this shopping center controls the heat (and is losing TONS of money on fuel). It wasn't even hot OUTSIDE- it was a nice cool fall day with a gentle wind blowing. It was ALSO hot in Dollar Tree a few doors down. read more

Customer Service - Disaster Let me first explain there are some very helpful people here.. My issue is with the same 2 ladies every single time I am in that store. There is a cashier (older women with coke bottle glasses, about 4ft 11in) who has an attitude when you ask her to help you out with something. First off you're in customer services and your biggest thing is to ALWAYS assist the client NO MATTER what your opinion is.. I asked her to look for a bag in the bin next to her register.. Reluctantly she did and then I asked, could you look in the other bin.. She proceeded to tell me that it would have been where she first looked.. Honey, I don't know if you've looked around here but the store is in a disarray every single time I am here.. You mean to tell me that not one of you can make an honest mistake and misplace something... The second employee with a straight up attitude is the Spanish woman in the fitting room. Now, I've done retail for 7yrs, cashier, fitting room attendant, floor monitor, shoe department, I even cleaned the damn bathrooms... Now I dont know about many folks who shop here but I go on my lunch break.. I have an hour so I spend 45 mins shopping and trying on.. My last 15min has to be spent on line (sometimes that line is 30 min long) because I have to use my time wisely.. I go in with the max items, put what I want in my cart and hand off the rest.. WHY, do you have to count the items I am placing in my cart??? When I shop at Macy's, Bloomingdales, or other real department stores I never have to be treated like a child... Lady, stop your shit because it's soo fucking annoying! No one has time to waste because you're unhappy with your own choice of profession! I go to that store maybe 3 times a week (because you never know what you'll find) but I prefer to shop at the one in Islandia or Medford because the service is soo much better that it makes it easier to enjoy shopping at the store.. I literally cringe every time I have to deal with these 2 women... And I know I'm not alone, I've seen plenty of customers walking away shaking their heads or muttering under their breath... Whoever the manager or director is at this store needs to just put these people away from customers.. read more

A hidden gem! This location has great inventory to choose from- besides the normal that's at majority of the others. The store seemed average size until you walk towards the back and it's a massive section of bathroom/ bedroom/ decorative goods! I was in my glory. Only reason I'm not giving a 5- star is because they lacked seasonal holiday decor. Minimal selection, very few items, and maybe a tables worth to look through. read more

I love tj max as a company, but this store is always a mess. Recently I was in there I saw an employee walk over to hair care, spray her hair with hairspray from the shelf, put it back, and then walk back to work. I've since reconsidered purchasing beauty products from this store if you can't even trust employees... Also, I went to buy a dog leash there once. When I got to the register I noticed it was used and put back in the packaging (a dog literally ate threw it and someone weed it back together)... so I tell the cashier. I come back two weeks later, and the same dog leash was back on the shelves... read more

I love TJMaxx at this location. I almost always find a great handbag or pair of shoes in Commack. The store also has a great selection of high end beauty products and hair products. They also stock holiday items such as Halloween or Easter items. It's always fun to find a bargain here. The staff is friendly and they have several cashiers so usually the line is not too long. read more

This store is just like any other TJ Maxx, except for the fact that is is always a complete disaster! i have never ever seen a store such a mess. I really don't believe they ever try to clean up the store. Go to the one in kings Park just a few miles away, much cleaner, neater store. read more
