I rarely go shopping in person anymore and I am always reminded why when I actually do decide to browse in person. Most of the times it is not the actual store; it is the rude customers. Sometimes it is both. I mean when you shop at one TJ Maxx, you get a feel of what they are all like. I cannot remember ever having an amazingly positive experience shopping at any of their locations and this visit was no different. The store was a mess. Many items were in the incorrect spots and I really had to go on a mission to search for something. Upon checkout, the cashiers were not enthusiastic and not even the basic civil gestures of have a nice day or hi, how you doing. I write really extensive reviews but this experience was so subpar that I cannot recall of anything memorable or out of the norm, positive or negative to include. This store is in a good plaza and the line ran smoothly and quickly on a Sunday afternoon. I cannot really comment fully on the associates on sales floor because I don't think I saw many? I did have an issue with a manager's response to an inquiry. Now that I've looked at the Yelp page, I don't think I should have been surprised. I asked about lowering the price on an item that was obviously scuffed up. It was marked down some but I do not believe it was much from the same new/like new item. Which I would've bought instead but it wasn't the same color. The cashier that I asked was very pleasant, nice, and patient. The first store leader/manager she checked in with was working with another customer and we were asked to wait, though she did take a moment to look at the item. Before she was available, another manager happened to walk past. That's where this experience turned. This manager barely glanced at the item. She was clipped and short, with the associate who asked and also with me, the customer directly in front of their interaction. I'm understanding why the cashier seemed hesitant to even ask a manager. I was very nice throughout and bought the item. But I did leave with an unsavory taste in mouth. Especially due to while I was purchasing the item, the original store lead/manager we spoke with asked if I wanted the TJ Maxx credit card to get 10% off. The same 10% off that she can manually put in. Why would I want go out of my way to assist a location that I didn't feel assisted in? That's not how you remedy a situation or keep customers. I'm a hoarder by nature but don't need to get anything else there. As someone who is also a manager in a customer service related field, I recommend more guest relations training. Because it is okay to fake pleasantries, even if you're not in a good mental space or are tired of people asking for things. But it is not okay to have a customer leaving feeling as if you negatively impacted their day. read more

This is quite a small TJ Maxx and it is located right near a Ross store - so you can do them both at the same time. There is big parking lot, which is also handy. The jewellery section was quite impressive, as they seem to be in most T J Maxx's. There were loads of choices, especially in the silver section. read more

This Tj Maxx is fairly close to my house and it is one of the best ones I've shopped at. They have a huge selection of home decor which I love! The staff is always very friendly and always ready to help. During these times, they even have someone counting the amout of people in stores and another staff member cleaning carts right at the door ready for you when you step inside. The store is fairly large which is a plus. The only negative is that their lines can become rather long which can take so much time, but its worth it at the end giving all the great things you usually find! read more

My daughters and I love TJ Maxx and we make most of our clothing and accessories shopping at our local store in Pembroke Pines, by Haitus/Pines. We drove to this plaza and I had a return to make. It was busy but not extremely, got on line and the woman took me in register #1. I told her that I was returning and purchasing. She promptly asked if I had my receipt and the card I had used to purchased which I responded yes. She then took it a step further by advising me that I didn't need to make returns if I would just use the fitting rooms available in the store and that I should think about that so I won't have to return items. I rarely return merchandise and wondered if this is the way customers are treated when returning or exchanging. I returned 3 dresses. The dresses I returned needed to be tried on with a specific bra which I was not wearing at the time of purchase. When I purchased the new dress, I asked her for my senior discount and she questioned my age. The other receipt clearly shows my senior discount on it. I was thoroughly put off with this woman's demeanor and attitude. No way to treat paying customers. I will not return to this store. read more

This store opened up today. Its right next to Ross and accross from Costco. Parking was difficult but not impossible. Yhe store has a big open look to it with many good deals to be had. It is smaller than most T j Maxx locations but still has all of regular departments. I was happy to see they had home goods and shoes. It's a shame that the aesthetic of a nice new-ish store doesn't match the experience within. The salvaging aspect of this review comes from the items I was able to scrounge up in the chaos that is TJ Maxx during the holidays. Many options are available but the quality (e.g. majority of the candles are melted and misshapen) can be disappointing. This particular branch feels more like one of their sister Homegoods stores with a sad excuse of clothing options thrown in the middle of the store. Shop with headphones and avoid verbal interaction with any staff in order to have a decent shopping experience. -- From a shoulder shrug when asking what time the store closes to attitude when trying to sort out items for a price check versus to purchase all in addition to half decent item selections, this by far the worst customer service store I have encountered in comparison to any other store regardless of brand or location. Received an email on Christmas Day (see pic) stating that their stores open early at 8am tomorrow. Show up at the store at 8:15am to get a head start on returns and the manager (Ilir) informs me and another customer who also received the email that they don't open until 9:30am. I showed him the email and he said he didn't get that email and he knows nothing about it. Asked him if he could just process the return and he said his cashiers do not get there until 9:30am. I told him I was sure that he could do it himself and he said no. Thanks TJMAXX, maybe next time you could be more specific so I don't waste over an hour in your parking lot. And your manager could have definitely taken 5 minutes to do the right thing. UPDATE - After sitting in my car for 15 minutes and seeing others arrive and not walk back out, I go into the store that is now miraculously open. I approached the manager to ask if NOW they were open and he said yes after he called his district manager. I told him that he shouldn't have sent myself and the other shopper away then. He should have asked us to wait so that he could verify. When I came back in with my returns the lady vaccuuming (Andreina) was all of a sudden able and willing to use the register. So, you know how the running joke for TJ Maxx or Ross is that if you need something you are most likely to find it on the floor?...Well, not in this location. This is the first TJ Maxx I have ever been too that has amazing customer service. In addition, not only is it extremely clean but so well organized. Its visually appealing with wooden floors and nicely laid out sections. Its easy to get around the store and the aisles. I could assure you that if you need a size you could find it here. The smalls, mediums, and large shirts, pants, etc are where they are supposed to be. I come to this location a lot for anything. This place is perfect for last minute gifts. I recommend this location to anyone who has little patience like me when it comes to shopping. I could assure you that you will find what you need. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. Every time I visit that store - very strange customer service experience. Staff is oblivious to any common sense practiced at a decent US chain. Last visit was a grand finale. Brought few pieces back with no receipt for a store credit. Tags on, recent items, no problems. Transaction took at least 15 minutes - the cashier was incompetent from the get-go, so the manager was processing transaction. Throughout entire time I must have heard at least 5 times (very loud) that I did not have a receipt, and about how bad this was, very bad. I was "lectured" and "lectured", I nodded a whole lot, while she kept saying all ugly things to me. I got my store credit and finally told her that I've been shopping at T J Maxx for many, many, many years and have never encountered such a poor service. Never that location again! I walked out of that store feeling like a criminal, literally. Did Not want to walk through an shop afterwards. BTW, every time I go - different people, lack of proper training/not fit for the job.
