Worst T-Mobile Experience Ever Promised "$500 off" deal turned to nothing I walked into the store specifically to add a line. * Sales rep enthusiastically told me they were running a promotion: "$500 off any new phone." * One minute later: "Sorry, you don't qualify." No explanation, no fine print shown--just "you don't qualify." 2. **Push toward a cheap prepaid phone** * Frustrated, I agreed to the next-best offer: a Galaxy A16 for \$180. * Went home, tried to download my essential work apps... and the phone couldn't even install them. 3. **Refund denied on "prepaid" phone** * I returned to the store within an hour and asked to return it. * The rep said, "Sorry, it's a prepaid phone--no refunds." * In 15 years I've never heard of a "prepaid phone" policy that voids refunds on an unopened device! 4. **Major price discrepancy** * I later discovered Walmart sells the same Galaxy A16 for \$99. * T-Mobile charged me nearly twice as much, then refused to take it back. I try and avoid this store at all costs, due to bad experiences in the past. It is very close to my home, I have went out of my way to go to another location many times to avoid going here. I was limited on time, so I gave it another try, big mistake. I was given a phone number and told to contact the insurance company for the claim. Even though it is customary to call with the customer and assist them, Which I questioned. The short portly red head kept repeating " this is how things are going now, all on line". The store was completely empty, btw and I had interrupted her leaning back and talking to her co-worker. I then, said verbatim, " when I get my new phone sent to me can I come in and have assistance to set it up?". She said ," no just do this, do, that, click her, click that, blah, blah. I looked at her overwhelmed and then I was gas lighted again. " Do you know how to Google? It's easy, just look it up. WoW!!!!! And when I called Alphonso with customer service, he was amazing. When we spoke to Phillip, with the insurance carrier, he was amazing! I asked do you usually get calls from the store, calling on behalf of customers for their claims? Oh yes on a regular basis, that is their JOB! And again she must have said it at least three or four times, " that's just how things are going today". I said then what do I pay you guys for? You could have heard crickets! I will get her name, and I will be writing a formal complaint with her entire name. Horrific attitude, lazy doesn't even sum it up, no work ethic. I've had even worse experiences with a past manager there. He was fired and I can see why. They really need to send a secret shopper to follow up on these employees. I'll keep this short and sweet. I was lied to by this store. I was given a "free" tablet that ended up not being free at all. The contract for the tablet was hidden in with the contract for the replacement phone I got at the same time. Jacob M, store manager extraordinaire, told me he did not believe me that I had never used the tablet (he did not open the box to inspect it to see it was still enclosed in the styrofoam envelope it had come in, seal intact), and that he would not help me. I clarified, is it that you can't help me or that you won't? He said "I won't". Then he became condescending when I told him about my past work experience in customer service. I am honestly so surprised by the awful service this person chose to provide in the name of the company he represents. Fortunately, a customer care person on the phone named Mary actually provided me with a satisfactory solution. Oh, the other thing about Jacob M.? He refused to give me the contact information for his boss. Told me to email him and he would forward it. Yup, I bet you would. Forward it right to the Trash folder. read more

If ever there were twins in the land of businesses, Sprint & T-Mobile are one and the same. We were hoping to transfer cell phone services from Sprint to T-Mobile due to the incredibly lousy reception & customer service (not) offered by Sprint. With the recent take over and numerous advertisements by T-Mobile for users to switch over to their service, taunting 5G and other features up to paying customers to swap carriers. Advertisements offered anywhere from $150 to $650 (total) to join T-Mobile. So, being retired and on fixed incomes, we thought we'd look into swapping carriers. As with Sprint, customer service is sadly lacking. All we received were excuses as to why we couldn't swap carriers. Josh (T-Mobile sales rep), who seemed to be honestly attempting to set us up, kept telling us he couldn't make the change. He disappeared to a back room several times, reminiscent of a used car salesman, to talk with someone (manager?) about the switch. Eventually, Josh came back out accompanied by another individual. They went to a desk in order to use the computer vs using iPads. After a rather lengthy check, the verdict remained the same: we couldn't transfer carriers. Just the day before, after having made reservations on-line, a T-Mobile rep scheduled an appointment at another store front. When we showed for our scheduled meeting, we found out the store is closed (no service due to Covid). Why the on-line rep didn't tell us that is befuddling. Josh did inquire about us changing our phone numbers, but didn't elaborate details. Could we keep our paid off phones, or would we be required to initiate new phone lines (fees?). The bottom line, Sprint & T-Mobile both lack any semblance of customer service. Lot's of excuses, no solutions. read more

Nobody asked if we needed help or anything for about 5mins with nobody else in the store. This store needs to be audited by corporate. read more

JOEY the 'manager' and staff were rude and dismissive towards my mother when she went in to upgrade her phone before my sister and I did the same. Not only has she been a patron at that store for many years, she also drove down in the snow. When I called in to ask for management, Joey answered and I immediately understood what my mother was saying. He was unapologetic and brass. Needless to say, we will be finding a new store. NOT INTERESTED IN CUSTOMER NEEDS! I went to this location by accident / I had spoken to another location via phone. I figured since I was there, I'd work with them. BIG mistake. They proceeded to try and talk me into a service I did not need, talked over me, etc. sales people need Educating when it comes to helping their customers and doing the right thing by them. I have not read the other reviews that people have written for this T-Mobile location, but I can tell you my experience was fantastic. I actually really enjoyed the process of switching to T-Mobile. Josh and his coworkers were kickass and so helpful. I did not feel pressured and I did not feel like I was being ripped off. I've been with AT&T for my entire life and then with Verizon for 4 days before I had to leave because the service was so bad in my neighborhood. T-Mobile has been perfect. No dropped calls, no low signal, everything is perfect. I'm so happy. I have my entire family set up with 4 lines plus 2 Apple watches. I'm a happy camper and if anything comes up I will go see these guys for help. Thank for everything. read more

The store has limited inventory, and relies on borrowing from other T-Mobile stores. The individual I spoke with was poorly organized and had no sense of urgency or customer service. Once the sale was complete, the unprofessional attitude got worse, as I would ask a question she would reply with a question, not an answer. I purchased an iPhone 6s and an iWatch from the T-Mobile location on 15th St SW. Let me say, that this one a horrible experience. I decided to return my watch but keep the phone and I went in to make the return. The associate was not happy that I am making a return because they will be losing commission they made from the sale. I lost my debit card and the store associate said that since you lost your debit card, there is nothing T-Mobile can do for you. This was "Mark" who claimed that he was the main manager for the store. I managed to call into T-Mobile Corporate and they told me to go back to the store, reference a document number and have the store associate pull it up. The document number referenced is for T-Mobile's Return Policy which stated the debit card returns may be processed as a cash refund. I came into the store and told "Seth" to pull it up and he said he doesn't care. (Seth wasn't bright intellectually). I then asked for the manager. "Antonio" came up I if he was the manager. On 6-22-2015 my mother and I agreed to a contract where we would trade my Droid cell from Verizon, my mother's flip phone from Verizon for a plan connected to my brother, Kirby Pollard (with T-Mobile). After spending over two hours in the store, the employee was unsuccessful in transferring my data, I agreed to come back the very next day to complete the task. I was told my Verizon phone would be in the back room with my name on it. Once we returned to our homes, we realized the phones did not work in our area. I immediately called and spoke with Alexandra (within 2 hours) and was told I could get my original Verizon cell phone back. When I arrived at the store at around noon on 6-23-2015, it was a different story. I was told since I signed the contract, they had already sent back my phone. When I brought it to T-Mobile staff attention my data had not been transferred, and my phone was not already shipped, staff came up with a second excuse that I signed away my rights to my Verizon phone. According to RCW 63.14.154, and especially (a) The seller shall, without request, refund to the buyer within ten days after such cancellation all deposits, including any down payment, made under the contract or charge agreement and shall return all goods traded in to the seller on account or in contemplation of the contract less any reasonable costs actually incurred in making ready for sale the goods so traded in; I have a right to cancel this service and obtain my original phone. My Verizon cell phone is not of any value to them and they were already keeping a re-stocking fee for each phone adding up to $100. I asked them to call the regional manager, and the manager on duty told me he would not. Half an hour later the on site manager admitted he had left a message for his manager. I called the police to have record of my complaint. I used the staff's phone. Two officers arrived, indicated it was a civil matter, and I received an AP number. They spoke to staff and staff indicated they might want to NO TRESPASS me. The officer told me if they did that, they should return my Verizon phone. When the staff realized this, they decided against that idea. I did not ever yell or threaten anyone in this establishment. I left the store with the T-Mobil phone that did not yet contain all of my data, and went back to my Verizon store where I was forced to purchase two more phones. My loss at this time: * Restock fees $100 * Purchase another phone in order to return to Verizon $200 * Purchase another phone for mother $20 * 6 hours of time spent * Lost data promised to me (all important text messages) read more

We switched over from another carrier and couldn't get T-Mobile service on our phones. The associate helping us was doing all he could but the manager (yoga looking dude) was more concerned with talking to a young female associate then helping us out. I think he got the job because he's the only one there who's old enough to grow a full beard. I'm not one to write bad reviews but this yoga manager dude was a totally unprofessional. I have been with T-mobile 11 years and as of recently they no longer honer there upgrade policy for after 2 years of service you receive a new phone for a discounted price. But what they do honer is that you locked into your contract and will pay an outrageous termination fee or you can pay $600 dollars in payments for a new phone! After 11 years of happy service I've never been so unhappy with your company, I will never use T-mobile again and won't let any friends or family go with your service. read more

this place just ripped me off for 100 dollars. we went in there 12 days ago wanting to switch providers. we had t mobile before and didnt get a lot of dropped calls so we wanted to give them a shot again. we were talking to one of the sales reps and we were both told " you have 14 days to try t mobile out. if you dont like the service we will refund your money and you're not locked into a contract." that reassuring us we decided to make the purchase on 2 phones. over 2 weeks my wife had about 5 dropped calls per day or more she spends a lot of time on the phone for work. and i lost about 1 per day (i make 1 to 3 calls per day) not to mention all the problem with the phone their selves. so we decided to return the phones. once at the store we were welcomed with a 50 DOLLAR PER PHONE restocking fee that the sales rep made sure not to tell us about but instead said that they would refund out money instead. read more
