We went in and purchased 3 new iPhone 14s and traded in our old phones. But they didn't have them in stock so we arranged to have them shipped. Big mistake. We got the new phones but one of then did not have the trade in marked on the account so couldn't activate it and had to call T-Mobile (which took about an hour), to figure out what happened. The first phone rep screwed up and it took 2 more calls to figure out how to fix the issue (2 more hours on the phone). They have to ship a new iPHone 14, I need to return the "old" iPhone 14, and then trade in my old iPhone X. At least that's the plan, not sure if it will all turn out well or if we'll end up with an extra iPhone 14! All because one employee at this store was careless or incompetent. Lesson learned - only trade in your phone if the store has one in stock and you can get it all settled at that point in time. read more

The 5 stars is more for the specialist, Levar, than for t-mobile, which I have no real issues with, but Levar was fantastic. After poking around at many stores, Levar was super helpful, knowledgeable and is an overall great guy. I went in not expecting to walk out with a new phone, but he made me feel confident and happy with my new phone. Kudos to him and I'm enjoying my new phone! To Levar's boss, give this guy a raise. You are getting 5 stars for being the most helpful t mobile people I've ever encountered. I bring some crazy issues in with my phone, and you always try to fix it, test it out, and offer solutions on the spot. Your customer service overseas however, gets negative two stars. T - Mobile 1438 Massachusetts Ave Cambridge Ma. Horrifying experience! I am well versed in Cell Phone Carriers as to what questions to ask and what to communicate to the salespeople. I was a long time Verizon Customer - a company with exceptional customer service - and was looking to lower my plan. I was treated with such disrespect! The staff lacked knowledge and they out right lied to me! I let the staff know I was disabled from the start and that I had limitations and they used that against me after they made several mistakes. They laughed at me, especially when I was in tears. They humiliated me and violated both my human and disability rights! STAY AWAY FROM T - MOBILE! read more

Man, I came in for a replacement screen protector (that was under warranty) the manager there actually tried to tell us it was our fault for putting our phones in our pockets. "Have you been leaving these phones in your pockets?" After an adequate amount of back peddling out of her, we reached another associate who understood and tried to help, then all of a sudden when management swooped and explained to us through thorough jargon that she couldn't replace the screen protectors... Hurriedly we ran across the mall toward the Apple store. The associate there took half a second to blink and honored our screen protector's warranty... what an adventure... read more

I was quite disappointed by the service here. I went in to get my phone replaced since it was acting funny and I had insurance on it. There were no problems with getting it replaced. I was disappointed because the service was not great. The employees did not seem like they cared about their job. They were extremely slow with the process. It bothered me considering I was the only customer in the store. In my opinion, if you're not going to give good customer service, at least be quick with the process. I will definitely not be returning to this specific store if I have future issues with my phone. read more

Wow,record bad customer experience at T Mobiie, both on the phone and at Galleria. I tried to set up cellular service for a new tablet computer online and found I had to call T Mobile HQ. On my third call and fifth service rep, I was told I had to go to a store to do this (even though the setup instructions said you could do it by phone). I walked the mile to the closest store and a comedy of errors ensued. First, someone told me I had to set this up online. I explained that I tried and was referred first to a phone number and then to the store. Then I was told I couldn't get the $10 monthly plan advertised on the iPad , but was offered a better $20 plan. Great! But oops, its actually $70. Sorry about that, still OK? Well, no. Somehow we got it back to $20. I was ready to hand over a credit card. But then we call T Mobile HQ. I give the phone rep my SSN, DOB, address, and other info, which I've now provided multiple times, and this time I'm conscious that I'm providing confidential info in the middle of a busy store floor with other people milling around. It's hard to hear the rep both because of the noise and because of a heavy accent. But I finally get that she needs the PIN for a credit agency. Well, I don't have that on me, it's at home. In all this time, no one told me I would need that, and two store employees said they'd never been asked for that information for this type of account. We tried again with the same result. After 45 minutes, I walked out with an iPad that still doesn't have cell service, after 30 minutes on the phone and 45 in the store. I really wanted to try T Mobile, especially when the staff told me about two new phone service plans. And I understand the need for credit checks, although I first heard about after sinking an hour into this process.. Still, T Mobile wasted my time,and I resent it. read more

The kiosk for t-mobile is always swamped with people, especially entire families who are with just one person getting a cell phone... so it can take a while to get served. The manager (or was it assistant mgr?) was very helpful though and he did me the favor of making me a copy of my sim card so if I ever lose my phone, I'll still have a backup of all that info. Apparently they'll charge for this but he did not charge me. Rock! read more

I had an iPhone 5s which comes with a TMobile SIM card but the woman charged me $10 and gave me a new sim card anyway.... even though I didn't need one and refused to take it back. Also she complained to me about how annoying all the iPhone customers are "another one" b/c they are so excited (this is right when 5s came out). Maybe if she paid attention instead of btching she'd know it came with a sim. She was not gentle with my phone at all and at one point I asked her for it back so she didn't scratch it (had it in the same hand along with a paperclip (she was done using)... really?) Overall she was rude and acted like I was bothering her by coming in. TMobile doesn't offer pay-per-use international call/text (only unlimited) I'm leaving TMobile of a new company anyhow, corporate and locally they are horrid. read more

Had to exchange my phone and easily achieved that in under 30 minutes. This staff worked as a team. May, who added final touch installing my screen protector, Brian transferring and exchanging things for me and Brittany working past end of shift, phone on her shoulder telling her mom I am trying to leave, mom needed a ride. That's the only TMobile location I'll used. I tried Medford, Chelsea, Twin City, all at least a 30 minute wait to be asked what you need today? Not closed. I was there 11/16/2016. It is a Kiosk near food court. They are building a store in the same area soon. read more

Wasn't sure about the level of service I'd receive at this store since it's just a kiosk. I had been there once before and they couldn't do something for me since they weren't a full store (couldn't remember what it was exactly). But I had a great experience this time. I had bought a new phone that takes a nano SIM card. My old phone took a micro SIM, so I couldn't just swap it. I brought it to this T-Mobile and they were able to help me right away. They actually gave me the SIM card for free and the woman explained how the new ones come with adapters that will fit all 3 SIM card sizes. So I'll be able to use the new SIM with any phone in the future. read more

Rude, indifferent & Surly employees -- not much different than most Tmobile 'stores' & kiosks but this one is more interested in helping teen age kids & 20 year old college kids with trust funds with their mommy's card than existing customers (myself of over 10 years) with anything but the purchase of a new phone at full price. Of course the phone will likely be 'not in stock' and they will tell you that you are 'not eligible for an upgrade' because that is 'what it says on its computer' read more

The Alewife t-mobile staff are incredibly helpful and diligent. I've been going to them for two years now. They act as a customer advocates and are quite knowledgable. The staff are friendly and keen to help. Corporate tmobile, however, has less than desirable attributes. If I had to turn the page, I would not have chosen tmobile for several reasons : they don't offer iPhone, their technical support is hit-or-miss (they've cancelled the wrong line on me, they've not held true to their word about when re-activation will occur), and overall I think one get a better bang for the buck with other providers. Corporate T-Mobile should come down to their Alewife outlet to observe and learn about true Customer Care. read more
