Went in for help switching Samsung over to an iPhone. The staff member who helped us was pleasant and did the best she could. However, it was apparent after we left that she did not know how to adequately help us. I just wish she would have said I don't know instead of having us leave with incomplete services. If I could give minus stars I would. I bought an Apple Watch,added a line, bought a 3 foot long extra durable charger for about $30 and exchanged an iPhone 6Plus S that wouldn't hold a charge at Orland Store on 3/15/18. I bought a Mophi car and case charger less than a year ago from Homewood store which also no longer charges and which I have to get replaced via company. I also have both my college students on my account and have been a customer over 5 years. The money that we've spent with T-Mobile is significant. A couple of days ago, my phone stopped charging off and on. Today I noticed the charger (less than a month old) was frayed at neck. I have a 3 hour graduate class online that I HAVE to use my phone to log into tonight. So I ran up to the closest store-- Homewood--and asked them to replace the DEFECTIVE charger. A woman named Tia 'helped' me. She took one look at charger and said "I notice some physical damage."(duh -why I came in) "What-from the looks of it, it got caught in a door or something, right?" Wait, what?? She basically accused a long-term, good customer of asking the store to replace a new item that I obviously-from the looks of it-damaged myself. Unbelievable. I was literally in shock. She then dismissively said the manager would have to OK the replacement and took charger in back. She came out about 10 seconds later and said in so many words: "Sorry, it's past 14 days so your'e out of luck." She then blithely went right back to her other customer while I have to figure out how to take this $30 piece of scrap wire and do a class presentation on my phone which is now totally dead. No options were given, no offer to charge my phone, no sales on other crappy chargers were pitched. Just "Yea, no because you probably broke it yourself." LOL I called the 'manager' (Brian :) to tell him all this and he seemed more contrite than in the store where he didn't even bother to come out and tell me personally that he wasn't going to honor my purchase. But it was too late. The Orland store said they'd make an exception (since I'm a valuable customer and all) and replace the charger if I make the 45 minute trip out there. I can't make it before my class starts tonight but I will happily drive past a 100 T-Mobile stores if it means world-class customer service. Note to corporate: Tia and Brian need a little additional training. Smiling at me while accusing me of damaging my own equipment and telling me I am stuck with a defective model doesn't cut it. Business 101: the customer is always right. Moral of the story: What good is a new $30 charger that doesn't charge? About as good a long-time, customer with 4 lines, who's bought thousands of dollars of products and services who NEVER patronizes your store again. read more
