After waiting an hour at Sprint without being acknowledged- my husband and I trekked to T-Mobile where we were taken care of immediately by Ru!!!! So it's a pain in the butt when u are changing providers and it's even worse when your phone (really my phone) was completely dead. Yes it took a long time - but the deal we received was better. Coverage is better. Sales Associates were nicer. They found a purple phone. By some magical T-Mobile fairy, my contacts and pictures also transferred. Thank you T-Mobile and Ru. I worked with Ruben and the experience was really fantastic. He was very professional, knowledgeable and incredibly funny. My wife traded in her sprint phone. He ported her number over to my T-mobile account. Helped her select a new phone at the store. Ruben helped me exchange my phone to an improved model. Convenient location- but hard to get a spot in that lot. (Starbucks, Jimmy John's and now "live gaming" restaurant) In sum from below: THEY LIE. Also, I'm not exaggerating, the store really smells like puke. I walked in to inquire about the cheapest and most efficient route to get someone a prepaid phone, or pay-as-you-go-plan, etc. There were some complications- I didn't have the person's phone with me, I didn't want to be on a contract... A young man named Robert was nice and helped me through some of the options. But ultimately it seemed like nothing would work for my situation, so I left. One of the situations he presented I wrote down and made him sign-- I don't trust store rep's. But then I thought through -- how about if I buy the SIM card and activate later? ... I walked in and out three times with new ideas I had. And I was so frustrated they didn't think of these themselves. Also through one of these scenarios I uncovered that the scenario Robert outlined originally did leave out 2 major issues-- if a phone wasn't from TMobile, and that the SIM card is $10. UGH My last idea worked-- buy a card, with the cheapest plan, and upgrade if I need, and if the SIM doesn't work I'm only out a few $$'s. Overall I spent over 2 hrs in this store. And when I finally was purchasing I told the "manager" Patryk of a very cheap deal I see online ($3/mo for pay-as-you-go) and he said they only offer it online, and I had to get the $25+$10+tax configurement. I later called TMobile directly and they told me that the $3 plan is of course is in their stores. I love TMobile with my heart and soul. But I hate representatives that TAKE FOREVER, you need to do their job for them, you can't believe what they say, and their computers and printers never work. Seriously...... Oh, and when you go in the middle of a weekday there will be a bunch of old or weird people paying their bill directly, which for whatever reason takes 20min. I was having a hard time finding a screen protector for the iPhone 11 pro and I went to two different T-Mobil stores prior to this one, one inside Northriver side mall, which SUCKS WORST SERVICE EVER! The other one was located outside the mall, just as bad. However, I am really thankful that at least there are stores where they have representatives that care. At the Lyons location, Jojo is the best employee, she's sweet, polite and shows she cares. They also have amazing service and are extremely attentive. I hope T-Mobil sees these reviews because that store deserves more credit than it receives. THANK YOU JOJO :)! read more

Walked in tonight (12.21 around 5:30p) ready to make multiple purchases- the kid SLOUCHED behind his comp stand didn't greet us and was less then welcoming when approached with questions. Also responded with a huff and eye roll when asked to pull up info in regards to a current promotion- as approached the screen side of desk he quickly closed all of his (assuming not work related but more Interesting to him screens) and proceeded to give conflicting information from what the terms of the promo were and as was explained to me by the rep that was "live chatted" with moments before heading into the store. Was smug and unhelpful, but I did not catch his name- unfortunately a larger sale of was lost based on this kids poor attitude and seemingly lack of interest in helping. He returned to whatever he was watching before we even reached the door- will find another location to do business with. read more

Very poor customer service. Lack of knowledge. They'll try to sell you the most expensive phone just to get the commission. Won't take what you actually want Into consideration. I went there to pay a bill and the guy asked what I needed to told him he ignored me and walked right past me to help the other people who wanted to buy a phone. So because if this location and the horrible customer service I received I will be canceling with t mobile. read more
