Holiday hours posted on the store window
    Kendra F.

The holiday hours are posted as opening at 10 AM not just on the store window, but also the website. Well, they didn't open until 11 AM today, which is the normal opening time on a Sunday outside of the holidays. We didn't wait long at all, arriving around 10:55. It wasn't an inconvenience to us but it very well could be to someone else. Anyway, the visit wasn't brief but it wasn't complex. My boyfriend needed an upgrade on his phone and he got it. I checked for an upgrade and while I'm eligible, my XR is still running strong. I ended up just buying JBL Noise Canceling Bluetooth headphones. The employees are attentive and ready to help. When we got there it was just one person ahead of us in line, but there were three reps available. I expect weekends to be busy here and it is. If you can't find parking on the street your best bet is to try the parking garage by Trader Joe's. Edit: 1/3/23 From 3 to 4 stars. As I stated above, the employees are attentive and helpful. I called a few days after my initial visit to check if Apple Watches were in stock before making my way over. After getting some information on the Apple Watch Series 7 and 8, I was told if I had wrapping paper they'd even wrap it for me. That meant a lot to me being this was shortly before Christmas. Thanks again!

My husband and I headed to T-Mobile at Temescal Plaza to pay our cell phone bill. Alas, we could not find a single parking space in the lot, so we left and came to this T-Mobile. We lucked out and found street parking on Lakeshore Avenue near the business, as in two doors away. The visit was brief. There was hardly anybody in the store; thus, I received service immediately. The male employee was very helpful and friendly. He accepted my payment and handed me a printed paper receipt. I was in and out of there in about five minutes. Sure I like the quick friendly service, but the drawback is street parking can be problematic. I might return, then I might not, to take care my monthly obligation.

As soon as I landed in San Francisco on my last visit to the Bay Area, my Google Nexus 5 broke. I immediately purchased a Google Pixel to replace it, but unfortunately, that also meant I had to get a new SIM card since the Nexus 5 uses a micro-SIM and the Pixel uses a nano-SIM. The Project Fi nano-SIM that came with my Pixel was not compatible with T-Mobile. I dropped by this T-Mobile store in Lakeshore, near Lake Merritt, before dinner and was able to get a new nano-SIM in my phone and activated in no time. A photo ID was required. I'd just lost my wallet before my trip, but luckily I had my passport on me. The total cost to me was $21.90. I wasn't sure if I'd get some sort of discount or anything for being an existing T-Mobile customer (for well over a decade), but nope. For T-Mobile subscribers with Pixel phones: T-Mobile is currently running an offer where they will pay you $325 in the form of 24 monthly bill credits if you sign up for the T-Mobile ONE plan and use promo code PIXEL. Visit the following link for more details: https://www.t-mobile.com/offer/google-pixel-phone-offer.html.

Open up T-Mobile!! This is quite unprofessional.

Great service one day, awful the next…read more My new phone had arrived so I started the process of moving my eSIM from my old phone to my new phone. Verizon to Verizon, so there shouldn't have been any issues. Unfortunately, my old phone's SIM was deactivated before the new one was activated meaning I couldn't get the verification code to finish the transfer. I took it into this store after asking Verizon online help as they said it needed to be fixed in person. Got great service from the staff that day and they had my phone fixed and on my way within about 15 minutes. The next day, my partner got her new phone and it did the same thing. No big deal, we know Verizon can fix it for us in person. So we headed down to the same store but this time was greeted by a different person. Told him the issue we were facing and that I had been in the day before for the same problem and he instantly said it was a $40 charge. I tried explaining I had just had the same thing fixed only the day before for no charge and he treated me like I was lying. Then threatened to write up the employee who did it if I gave him her name. He told us to go to the Verizon store closer to the lake if we wanted to pay less. Three days later I went to AT&T and moved all my lines over so I don't need to ever deal with Verizon again. AT&T not only set up all my new lines for free, they're charging me less monthly for more data and coverage even after my introductory period. Bye, bye, Verizon!

They used to have a phenomenal sales person, Savannah, who left this store last year. I bought…read morethree different phones from her and she was always very honest, straightforward and clear. I am so sad she's gone. We went to purchase a new iphone for my son, and the rep made a huge mess of our account and our phones. He was not honest and did not disclose all the costs of the phone until we scrutinized the final accounting which was significantly different from what he sold us (so we didn't sign the documents). He kept trying to upsell us on more products that we didn't want (red flag), and he switched my husbands phone plan without authorization, turned his phone off for some reason, and said that the phone would go back on momentarily. After his phone was off for over an hour, my husband had to go to the Berkeley store to get them to fix it. (The Berkeley store rep said they tend to send the trainees to the piedmont store so that's why the service there is so bad) I then spent over two hours on the phone with Verizon to get the account straightened out after the mess they made of it in the Piedmont store. And I purchased the new phone via Verizon customer service since they were more forthcoming (although you still have to scrutinize absolutely every charge - Verizon is very shady about how they charge for things and the different quirks of their promos) Moral of the story is... you never know how competent the rep you are dealing with is. Triple check every single thing and make sure you fully understand every charge before you agree to anything. Verizon is very adept at "gotcha" accounting, so you have to really watch everything unless you want to be ripped off.

I came into this store on Friday 8/7/26 around 5:30pm or so. I was distraught! My Dad switched my…read morephone from T-Mobile to his account with AT&T because I asked him to :) and that started the day before. He lives in TX and I think the rep out there was doing something shady but that's a review for that store. Anyway, I was on hour 28 with no service to my iPhone, green bubbles for iMessages, just all the things were going wrong. Lamar was a gem, as soon as I walked in the door he was trying to help me. I was there so long he had to take his lunch and I was still on the phone with AT&T with no luck. Then Christian the manager steps in and he miraculously taps into my settings and fixes all the problems. Messages coming through, phone calls can be made, blue iMessages... just amazing! Thank you both so much for your assistance. I'll be in soon for my upgrade :)

Following my review of March 5th, 2026, it's now been three weeks and I have yet to hear from AT&T…read moreregarding my dispute of the $727.95 charge for a phone that I had left with John at the store after transferring the data from that phone, a iPhone 16 Pro, to my new iPhone 17 Pro. As I said, on December 29th, 2025 Oscar, the store manager assured me that the phone had been returned by him to AT&T and to disregard the notices from AT&T that I had not yet returned the phone. Two months later on February 27th, 2026 my card was charged in the amount of $727.95 for the supposedly unreturned phone. I received no communication from AT&T or anyone associated with AT&T during that two month interval. Having gone through the tortuous process of trying to dispute the charge via AT&T online reps, I finally wheedled out this out of them on Monday March 2nd, 2026 " Hi, it's AT&T. It was my pleasure to help you today. Here's some information we talked about for your account: We have submitted a case regarding your device return from the store on 29 December. You will receive a text notification once the case is resolved. For more details on equipment returns, please visit att.com/returns." Well, it's now three weeks later and I have heard nothing from AT&T; no emails, no texts, no phone calls, no cards, no flowers, and no candy. They also have given me no case number or contact person or contact information. They, including their area manager, are invisible. And, I'm still out $727.95 I guess my next stop is the Better Business Bureau and a complaint! Greg Quist
