Great service one day, awful the next. My new phone had arrived so I started the process of moving my eSIM from my old phone to my new phone. Verizon to Verizon, so there shouldn't have been any issues. Unfortunately, my old phone's SIM was deactivated before the new one was activated meaning I couldn't get the verification code to finish the transfer. I took it into this store after asking Verizon online help as they said it needed to be fixed in person. Got great service from the staff that day and they had my phone fixed and on my way within about 15 minutes. The next day, my partner got her new phone and it did the same thing. No big deal, we know Verizon can fix it for us in person. So we headed down to the same store but this time was greeted by a different person. Told him the issue we were facing and that I had been in the day before for the same problem and he instantly said it was a $40 charge. I tried explaining I had just had the same thing fixed only the day before for no charge and he treated me like I was lying. Then threatened to write up the employee who did it if I gave him her name. He told us to go to the Verizon store closer to the lake if we wanted to pay less. Three days later I went to AT&T and moved all my lines over so I don't need to ever deal with Verizon again. AT&T not only set up all my new lines for free, they're charging me less monthly for more data and coverage even after my introductory period. Bye, bye, Verizon! read more

They used to have a phenomenal sales person, Savannah, who left this store last year. I bought three different phones from her and she was always very honest, straightforward and clear. I am so sad she's gone. We went to purchase a new iphone for my son, and the rep made a huge mess of our account and our phones. He was not honest and did not disclose all the costs of the phone until we scrutinized the final accounting which was significantly different from what he sold us (so we didn't sign the documents). He kept trying to upsell us on more products that we didn't want (red flag), and he switched my husbands phone plan without authorization, turned his phone off for some reason, and said that the phone would go back on momentarily. After his phone was off for over an hour, my husband had to go to the Berkeley store to get them to fix it. (The Berkeley store rep said they tend to send the trainees to the piedmont store so that's why the service there is so bad) I then spent over two hours on the phone with Verizon to get the account straightened out after the mess they made of it in the Piedmont store. And I purchased the new phone via Verizon customer service since they were more forthcoming (although you still have to scrutinize absolutely every charge - Verizon is very shady about how they charge for things and the different quirks of their promos) Moral of the story is... you never know how competent the rep you are dealing with is. Triple check every single thing and make sure you fully understand every charge before you agree to anything. Verizon is very adept at "gotcha" accounting, so you have to really watch everything unless you want to be ripped off. read more

Finally, I saw some good reviews online and went to this store. Bob was the first person who greeted me. Within two minutes, he fixed the problem. He said it was a software reset. We've been Verizon customers for almost 20 years, probably half of which we've held onto a "grandfathered" plan in which my husband and I split 4G of cell data between us to save money. Recently, we went into this store to add a line to our plan, and an associate signed us up for the most expensive plan they had-the Unlimited Ultimate. There is no world in which it would make sense that we'd suddenly want to triple our monthly cell cost, and no one in our party asked for that, yet when we looked at our upcoming monthly bill, that's what we found we'd been signed up for. I'd recommend not coming here, but if you have to, be very careful. You should know that the associates aren't looking out for customers, but instead to enrich the company. There's a lot of smoke and mirrors, so make sure you ask specifically what your monthly bill will be *including all taxes and fees.* Luckily, we were later able to switch to the basic plan over the phone, but I wanted to write to warn others. If we hadn't checked, we'd have overpaid by a LOT. read more

This is to thank Rafael Berrios, the district manager for 10 Verizon stores in the Bay area, for his wonderful help--and patience--in helping my wife and I recently get two new i phones, and a whole lot more. Rafael spent over four hours with us, helping us set up the phones, transferring data, going over the necessary extra components, and patiently navigating a series of difficult issues we had with our Apple IDs, never losing his cool or wavering from his friendly and down-to-earth demeanor. There were a couple of minor things that needed to be amended, so we called him the next day and he promptly fixed them. Now we have two great new phones, an Apple watch and extras, and a new, better account, all at an excellent price. Avoid this place at all costs!!! First of all, this store is a "Verizon Authorized Retailer" called Victra. It is NOT a Verizon store and they charge fees that Verizon does not charge. I've been trying to get a refund but they claim they don't know how to do it and I'm forced to wait with everyone while false promises are made. They are not knowledgeable in what they're doing and all they care about is your money. Google and other places should not list this business as a Verizon store. Complete frauds! Incredibly knowledgeable and kind service! I want to thank in particular the Verizon associate on shift today, 7/10/2024 between 10-11 am... (my apologies I do not have his name). I came in with a very sensitive need, my Verizon voicemails had been deleted overnight due to some glitch (HQ tech is still working on it), voicemails I had saved, for a personal project about recently passed family members, voicemails of the deceased. I had paid for extra vm storage and had backed them up to the cloud but suddenly yesterday, they were no where to be found. A heartbreaking moment! The associate was so patient, empathetic, and so calm, even as customers continued to roll in, also needing assistance. He greeted them, too, somehow managed it all at once. He made an incredible effort to help me. My request/issue was not going to bring revenue or any commission for the store, but he treated my case as equal to those that might! In a time when big tech streamlines the human experience right out of customer service, this person is THE reason to support your local neighborhood shops- even if they ARE big tech. He is a great example of bridging those two worlds and no doubt he'll be going places with that kind of expertise and compassion! Thank you! Came here to help grandma upgrade her phone and get set-up as a Verizon rep on the phone told her (other than the cost of the new phone) as a current customer getting set-up would be free, but that is not the case here. She thought this was a legit store (from all the signage and her quick google search) but this is not an actual Verizon store but an "authorized retailer" called Victra, which means less inventory, less priority and higher cost than if you were dealing with Verizon directly at a legit store, so Victra charges to simply you set-up. Also if you visit their website the prices of phones aren't listed (in order to upcharge you no doubt), which is kinda representative of the business: to give as little upfront information in order to trick people into coming in. Their store's design are made to look like they're actual an Verizon store despite that not being the case. Just scammy tactics. On finding out this wasn't an actual Verizon store, I convinced grandma to just let me order her phone online and I'd set-up her myself. She agreed, and we ordered her new phone online directly from Verizon. Now it's just a matter of waiting for delivery and then I'll get her activated (just like how I set-up and self-activate when I get a new phone every 2 years). Honestly, these "authorized retailers" seem to take advantage of elderly people. I also gotta say, looked up other "authorized retailers" and big boxed stores like Walmart, Target, Best Buy etc. are also authorized retailers but they do upfront pricing and information on their websites and will also have better deals. So if you don't care about dealing with Verizon directly, you might as well go with those stores. Still it's better (and easy) to just do it yourself online. read more

I made a reservation two days ago. Verizon sent me a link to let the store know when I was "on my way" and "present". When I got to the store, four people were waiting to see a service provider. There were only two workers present. I mentioned that I had made an appointment online, and was told that unless I made an appointment with one of the workers personally, my appointment didn't matter. I intended on giving this place a 0/5 stars, and would have if it wasn't for Andre. Seriously give this man a raise or a promotion. When I walked in at 5pm on a Friday, I was immediately told that they were closed despite the posted hours on the door stating they didn't close for another 3 hours. It looked like there were 3 groups of people and only one very angry/rude employee. She told me to go to another location or (after asking about the hours on the door) I was told I could wait for hours. So I tried to go to the other location that was suggested to me but they were already closed. So when I reluctantly came back as a last resort effort to activate my SIM card, Andre was there and thank god for Andre. He looked like the youngest, possibly the newest of the 3 employees who were there by now. Andre was helping 3 people at once, greeting everyone as they came in, and was just nice and helpful in every interaction I saw. It was a very different experience from when I was barked at and lied to instantly when I walked through the door an hour earlier. So thank you Andre! This place sucks without you. read more

I to Verizon store to dispute my bill. The representative became confrontational and said that he did not have to continue with the transaction or help me. He said repeatedly that he did not have to. He asks me repeatedly "I don't have too?" I told him I was the customer, and he was an employee. Eventually he refused to help me and told me not to come back. How did this get started? There was a charge on my bill that I disputed. A $100 charge. All my previous charges were taken care of. I did not know where it came from. The conversation started out ok, but he was having a hard time explaining it to me. When I questioned him and contradicted him on what he was saying he stopped and finally he told me that he was not going to help me and don't come back. I have been with Verizon for at least 10 years. I did not deserve to be treated that way. I called customer service, and it was over an hour call. By the time we finished it was determined that a representative (who I talk to) over the phone lied to me (he said I would get a $100 discount) and the representative at the store disrespected me. I did get a reduction on my bill of $30 but the way I was treated I will never go to Verizon again. read more

My first experience with the store was great. The gentleman that helped me was fast and efficient. My thanks to him and regrets that his co-workers ruined the follow-on experience. Second experience was wretched. I called inquiring about a receipt from my first visit. The person on the phone (who I later found out was Destiny) was curt and and clearly looking to be as unhelpful as possible. I asked her if she could email or text me the receipt. "No." My only option was to drive to the store to get a paper copy. Kind of surprising for a stored loaded to the gills with computers and phones. I drove 20 minutes to the store for the receipt. The gentlemen there asked me if I had an email copy. Surprised, I told him there wasn't much point in me asking for a printed copy if I already had a digital copy. Destiny was at the store, overhead my comment, insisted I was being rude, and then refused to print a copy of my receipt (or allow her co-worker to do the same). A 15 minute long battle of wills then ensued. They tried simply ignoring me for much of that time. They asked me to leave several times. They told me to go to another store for a copy of the receipt. Finally, they relented and printed the receipt. What a circus. Who needs this kind of absurdity when there are so many Verizon stores out there. read more

This store use to be my go to for Verizon services but had horrible customer service trying to trade in my phone for a new phone. I called to ensure the phone was in stock and the lady confirmed all 3 were in stock and will be on hold. We drove down to grab them and walked in & the employee saw us but didn't even acknowledge us. I said Hi, we called for 3 phones. I noticed on his name tag said "friendly expert" which is funny because he didn't want to make any eye contact with me or seem to want to work there. When I asked about the ones in stock that we called in for, none of them were available. He was very short with any question like I was bothering his day . Clearly he wasn't a "friendly expert"! DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR AND GO TO A CERTIFIED, NON THIRD PARTY VERIZON CORPORATE STORE. You'll be glad you did. Victra stores are not Verizon Corporate facilities. I repeat this in my review to emphasize the importance of this fact. My wife and I were unfortunately lied to by a rep named George. George is no longer there, and now we're working with Mandip the store manger. We were told in the beginning that when purchasing new phones we would get two iPads for FREE. They turned out to not be free, were never activated and we are paying equipment and use fees each month. We tried to return them ( never removed from the boxes) a couple of weeks later after we realized what was going on upon receiving our bill, but nothing has been done to remedy our situation. Verizon says it's too late to do the return. Note: THIS IS NOT A CORPORATE STORE. Which means Verizon Corp. does not have any say if there is a problem. Know that going in. Complete and utter BS that this information is not told to customers. Verizon supervisors have not returned my phone calls and neither has Mandip. Still waiting. Before switching to aTT first net we were customers for approximately 20 years, and from my experience both companies are an utter joke based upon how things are run. Verizon is a multi million dollar company and can't take back 2 iPads and help customers out that were lied to?? What the F*** is going on here? Still trying to remedy the situation. Let's see what happens. If you don't believe me call the store and inquire about the Non-Corporate store status and make sure you get wiinvolved before becoming a victim of a "Special Deal." So far we've been screwed. Update 12/10/2019: Victra management states that they are going to call back with a resolution. I'm still waiting for a call. They state Monday the supervisor sill call. I was a big fan of Verizon until I left for ATT then came back...and made the mistake of going into a Victra store. A LOT has changed apparently. These people don't give a F*** about you! She was patient, knowledgable, and keep eye contact with me while I was speaking which was signaling that she was listening to understand. The manager Savannah S. had beautiful oversight and interacted with both me and the representative while waiting for my info to transfer. The vibe in the store is super chill. Its very clean.
