Title: I really wish this were still a 5-star company…read more I've been a customer of Cooper Refuse and Hauling, LLC since 2022. For the first couple of years, they were great. Reliable, affordable, and they never missed a pickup. Over the last year or two, things started slipping. A missed week here and there, every couple of months. Usually they'd come the next day, or I'd call or email and even if no one answered, someone would eventually come get the trash. But it kept happening more often. Then my trash started sitting out for days. Half a week. Sometimes a full week. No pickup, no response. I'd call, email, and text and hear nothing. Eventually I had to bring the trash back in myself. What really pushed it over the edge was trying to cancel service. I asked to cancel and just wanted someone to acknowledge it. No response at all. That feels really irresponsible and unprofessional, especially for customers who've been with you for years. I get that businesses grow and have issues, but basic communication matters. If there's a problem, send an email. Let people know. So they don't leave trash out all week, or have to make other arrangements if they're going out of town, or deal with extra stinky trash in the middle of summer. It's really about communication and respect. And unfortunately, that's been missing.

The guy who picked up my fridge came alone and hauled it out with just his body, completely damaging my floors. I noticed after he left. I texted him and as a "sorry" he offered my money back. That money does not even cover half of the repair. I have been calling non-stop with no reply. The absolute worst. I would never recommend them and will never again use them for future work. **UPDATED RESPONSE** Although I am not surprised at your response, I am deeply disappointed and perplexed. Maybe it was the generic tone of the quoted/ polished response you use for all negative reviews that you offered me as a solution. I have repeatedly called your company daily trying to get a hold of your customer service line you have (option 2, when I called in) and always got a voicemail promising to return calls within 24 hours. I have also sent emails and inquiries directly on your site. Today, I decided to write a yelp review, and behold I get a response - regardless of how unhelpful it was. On August 10th at 8 AM (not over a month ago) one of your movers came to remove my refrigerator. Your company knew where my refrigerator was located (in the kitchen) and informed me, it wouldn't be a problem. But it very much seemed to pose a problem as soon as the mover showed up. He came in, no mask, no equipment, and asked where the refrigerator was. I walked him to the kitchen. He then removes my refrigerator by sliding it back and forth, from my kitchen to my front door. When he realized he couldn't get it thru the front door, he went to the truck. When he came back, he had a mallet in hand and began hitting the handles off of my fridge so he could get the fridge to squeeze thru my door. Shards of hard plastic flew everywhere (which is something else I had to clean when he left, cleaning the shards and my floor where he drug my fridge is when I noticed the several holes). On August 12th at 7:42 PM I sent a text to your mover. He mentioned something about me gluing my floor myself and that he would refund my money. Was that the right thing to do? Is that how you conduct business? Absolutely not. Especially, after I sent him pictures of my floor (which are included below for reference). The floor is costing over $600 to fix -- and I have an invoice for you from my flooring company, let me know where to send it. The $180 ($140 for the haul + $40 tip) does not even cover half of this bill. I am not responsible for this, your company is. Shame on you and whoever else is conducting your business in this manner. Your mover completely disregarded my home and offered me a band-aid solution. This is not how this will end. I need a better solution and will be waiting to hear from you.

I have been very impressed with every staff person at this company- from the sales people who described what was needed in detail (with no pressure) to the staff who scheduled appointments and last but not least, the crew who crawled through my complex attic to install the new HVAC ducts. Everyone has been very knowledgeable, experienced and polite. I highly recommend this company!

Luckily we got 2 more estimates. The second company repaired and cleaned our heat pump for $225. Technician stated this did not need replacing. Scamming an 80 year old woman. Shame on you. I bet they will state I am not in their system like they have done on a couple reviews that were negative. Hmmmmm Why would we need to contact you ? The heat pump was repaired for $10,750 cheaper than your quote. Next step is to talk to the state so no others are scammed.

I'm no longer interested, I won't ever be interested, and I'm thankfully not harassed by other companies when I call for quotes.
