Was at the store today and had a horrible experience with a young man name Ramie. I only came in for a replacement for a screen saver. Which I originally purchased when I brought my phone in January 2026. It's unlimited replacement. He was very rude and snappy saying he didn't have one for my phone, which was not true. They put a 16/17 protector on my phone originally , somehow he said they couldn't put on a 17 protector which didn't make any sense which they had in the store. I asked him could he let me see the protector that he was talking about and he told me no unless I was going to purchase it. I asked him could I talk to a manager and he said she went to lunch and he was going to lunch too. I asked him when would she return he said in 30 minutes. I said I would wait. I thought this is ridiculous. I stayed calm because I was in shock over his treatment over a phone protector I purchased unlimited replacement. I could not believe his unprofessionalism. The treatment was really unbelievable. The other guy Chris was not helpful either I ask him for help because I remembered him and he said he never helped me before. I am writing this because no customer should be treated this way. I have been coming here for over twenty years. I will never forget how they treated me today. No one should be treated in such a rude disrespectful manner. *I was fortunate that a Wonderful young lady wind up helping me name Sunny, She stepped in and helped me I explained to her the situation and she called the manager and she told her it was okay to replace my screen protector. I recently converted from AT&T to T-Mobile with the help of our friends at the Reston T-Mobile store. We were consistently having problems, drop calls, no calls, with AT&T-- living within a mile as the crow flies from Tysons Corner. The conversion to T-Mobile was definitely time consuming, but given we had five lines amongst our family I was expecting as much. The Reston Store is regularly busy, but the service provided, particularly by the sales associate Ramie was next level. He was very knowledgeable and very customer service oriented. He took the time to take care of each member of the family, providing a seamless transition. Further, T-Mobile has and may still have an incentive program that literally saved us thousands of dollars. Ask Ramie about the "double dip." Big fan. read more

A rude, nasty salesman told me to get out of his store, told me I stole his 1 cent SIM Card Ejection Pin that I brought in with me with my new phone. Here's the entire story. I walk into the T-Mobile store at 1837 Fountain Dr, Reston, VA 20190 and sat and waited 20 minutes with my old and new phone, as I wanted them to transfer my sim card and account to the new phone. The nasty salesman opened my phone sim card, looked at it and said you have a Metro by T-Mobile account, take your phone to Metro by T-Mobile store, I said oh, do you know where one is? No, he said. I proceeded to put my sim card back into my old phone, and put my SIM Card Ejection Pin back into the card board Samsung Galaxy phone box that it came with. That's when the salesman said, "that's my SIM Card Ejection Pin". I said no it's not; it's mine as it came inside the box with my Samsung Galaxy phone, and he implied that I was stealing it. That's when the salesman said, "Get out of my store"! I moved from the salesman's table to the customer seating area to gather up into my shopping bag, 2 phones and their boxes. That's when that salesman hovered over me and said are we done! I have been a customer of T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile for over 15 years. I have since learned that all the salesman could have said was, "just dial 611 on your cell phone and the transfer to the new phone would be seamless"! The workers here are total scumbags. You will wait for a long time before anyone acknowledges you. Once they do, they misquote policy and refuse to help. I called T-mobile right after and got accurate policy, which unfortunately doesn't help my situation, but nonetheless I am deeply offended by the total lack of customer service. I'm a landline person. I wasn't getting my money's worth from my $35/month for Sprint, so I bought a really cool unlocked GSM phone in Mumbai for about $100 and brought it in to the T-Mobile store to activate service. The SIM card costs $10 which includes 100 minutes, then for another $100 I bought 1000 minutes which are good for a year. When the year is up I can roll over those minutes for another year by adding some money to the account. I figure the phone will pay for itself in about 3 months. The T-Mobile guy was very helpful and even transferred my contacts from my Sprint phone to the new phone. I'm also pleased with T-Mobile's coverage and voice quality. Obviously a prepaid plan like mine is not for everybody. Also, I sure don't want to say anything bad about Sprint since I live in Reston, but it just wasn't the best fit for me (plus I HATED my phone!) One of the things I like best about my spiffy new phone is that I don't have to pay T-Mobile to transfer photos from my camera to my computer. I can use bluetooth or a USB cable for that purpose. BTW, Amazon also sells unlocked GSM phones. You don't really have to go to India to buy one. read more

Okay, so there wasn't a listing for T-Mobile corporate/customer services so I chose the closest location. T-Mobile coverage is superb! I have never dropped a call and have been a customer since the beginning of 2009. The phones/plans/services/rates are very inexpensive compared to other wireless providers. I have never had a problem when speaking to a customer service representative. The CSR's are always willing to help and they really do understand your question. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE T-Mobile's online customer chat. It is so convenient especially when I am at work. ______________________________________________________ I have also been to this location, to upgrade my phone. I just went back (l'm a glutton for punishment) and worked with a rep named Paul. He was patient with my 100+ questions helped me find a phone and had me feeling good about my purchase. There were other reps who were also friendly, helpful and were willing to share their personal opinions about their phones. We also looked at apps and I got a tutorial on how to use some. My dreaded trip ended up being an overall great experience. I like this new staff and would recommend going there now, make sure you ask for Paul, he's the best!! read more

I'm really hesitant to rate this store, because by all accounts I had a pleasant experience. I walked in, frustrated with Verizon, and wanted to transfer service. They were not as pushy of salespeople as the Verizon store was (having just come from there). I said exactly what I wanted and the team member (Tim, I believe) was very helpful. He was laid-back and informative, tried to get me the best deal. He was honest about the Nexus 5's markup as well. Overall the transaction was fantastic and I walked out with a great working phone. T-Mobile itself is a great company. I was with them for 8 years before having to switch to Verizon for work for 2 years, then immediately switched back when I could. The coverage in this area has been fantastic. However, when filling out the application, I asked specifically if the credit check was hard or soft. I have excellent credit but recently moved, so I didn't want another hard hit. The team member assured me (more than once) that it was a soft credit check that he was performing. I agreed to it. Now I have an alert that a hard inquiry has been made. It's not bad, but it was not what I was told was happening. A hard inquiry is completely different than a soft. So, while he was honest about everything else, this was a complete lie to me. This changed my perspective of my in-store experience. So, I just wanted to make sure other consumers knew this caveat before they switched. Otherwise I recommend T-Mobile above the other companies. read more

I have been a T-Mobile customer for 20 years (five years living in DC and 15 in Virginia). Today, I had the best experience of all. I was coming in to the store and automatically was spotted and greeted by a customer service named Dominika. She might be a new employee because I have never seen her in that store. She was super nice, very helpful and understanding. The purpose of my visit was the following: since my old phone fell by accident on the floor while I was at work, I filed a claim to my insurance plan company called Assurant. My claim was approved, so then sent my new phone at home. What I needed was to transfer my SIM card from the old phone to the new one, do the backups, erased all the info from the old phone and have a screen protector installed. It happens on my last visit, they did not have a case protector for my model, so I bought one online. This case came with two screen protectors. I asked her if she could please help me to install a screen protector on my phone. I told her "Do your magic." She took my phone, went to the back of the store and worked on it. After a minute, she came back with my phone and the screen protector neatly installed. While she was doing the backups, transferring the SIM card, setting up my new phone, erasing my old data, etc. with me checking all my stuff, the music of the store helped a lot to make the process more comfortable. Beware- the salesmen here are liars. I got my phone with "Jump on Demand" (allows you to upgrade to a new phone whenever you want) and came in to get my husband a new phone last night. We asked the salesman if we could have Jump on Demand on my husband's new phone. He told us "Oh no, they got rid of that because T-Mobile was loosing too much money" With no reason to think otherwise, we accepted this as truth. Today, my husband looks online and calls Corporate. Guess what? They definitely still offer this program- BUT it causes the salesmen to loose commission. So this man is a BIG FAT LIAR. I understand not offering this service if you're going to loose commission, but if you flat out lie to my face, I'm not going to be happy. Corporate assured us this is not how they should be operating and fully fixed the issue for us (with quite a bit of hassle and sending phones back). But alas we got what we asked for. Do your research!! Don't let these fools trick you. And more important, if you know what you want, just call and order! They don't work off commission and will tell you the TRUTH! UPDATE- Went to the store and spoke with the manager Ravi, as I thought it was an employee issue. Nope, as it turns out he instructs his employees to lie to customers about this. Further, he would never address the actual issue with me, but rather took the approach of attacking me and yelling at me. He even threatened to kick me out of the store, when I never raised my voice or did anything to warrant being kicked out. I told customers about Jump on Demand as I waited for the manager, but telling people this fact does not warrant being kicked out of a store. This is not a way to treat customers. read more

Coming from a customer service worker, he is about as good as it gets. Don't waste your time going to the store. The representative did not mention there are gonna be change in my account when I traded in my iPhone. She probably didn't know. She called me the next day, and told me that her boss said my current plan wasn't qualified for the promotion. She was willing to help me to cancel the my order if I didn't want any change in my current plan. I said I will think about it and get her a call back. However, when I called back the next day, the store manager picked up the phone. I explained my situation and he just told me to call CUSTOMER SERVICE. I waited more than half an hour on the phone. Representative said the store representative didn't leave any notes on my account and I should go back to the store. I canceled my order for good. read more

This is the poorest store experience I've ever had. It would be dangerous to use T Mobile if you ever need your phone for any kind of emergency service. T Mobile service would might not be reliable if your child was in an accident or your parent or grandparent had a cardiac event. I recommend any other reliable service such as Verizon and most other service and product providers. The Reston, VA 1837 Fountain Drive store is only available to sell products. The manager at that store, Rafi, is unable to do the simplest maintenance or provide even the simplest information on T Mobile services or products. Not only is there no customer service, the products are overpriced and of very poor quality. Buying the product was no problem because a manager helped me with my issue, so he went above and beyond in helping me out in anyway possible. However when I returned because the product had an issue I had three employees tell me everything they could not do for me. The funny thing is that I asked to speak to a manager, they said a manager would not be able to help me with my issue. Then when I asked if they could please make an exception and help me they said "well we can't do anything anyways, this is an issue we would need a manager present for." NEVER SHOP AT THIS LOCATION. ASSOCIATES ARE LIARS AND THIEFS WITH NO CONCERN FOR CUSTOMERS. Worst customer service you can imagine. I transferred my brothers family plan to my name and added my girlfriend to the account. We signed up on Black Friday which granted my girlfriend to trade in her phone and get the new iphone for half off. They did the deal on her old account and canceled the account so when she was added to my account, the deal was lost. Not only are we now paying the full price of the phone, her previous phone (which was paid off) was mailed in for which we got no credit. They basically lied to us about the cost of the phone and stole the paid off phone from us. When talking to the associates at the store about this issue, they said their was nothing they could do as the deal had already been singed. Additionally, I have been waiting for nearly 3 months for them to apply my military discount to my account which they said would take 1 billing cycle, and that still has not gone into effect. I encourage everyone to go to a different store, even if its not T-Mobile!!! read more

My daughter and I went in the Reston store the day before the storm of 2016 and the reps that are there now are totally awesome. I went to that store in December 2014 and vowed never to step foot back in there ever again, but that's where my daughter wanted to go because it was the closest store to her job. I'm so glad that we went in that night and had the pleasure of being helped by Rafi, the manager and Nick. They were the best, very knowledgeable about all of their products, helped put screen savers, Otter boxes on, explained in detail how our family plan worked with the new jump program and just helpful with everything overall. We left with 3 new Iphone 6s Plus' that night. I will always go there for service as long as they keep reps like Rafi and Nick. read more

After giving a glowing review, I must admit I am feeling a bit disappointed. I thought going into this store at 7pm would not be so busy. A customer brought in his dog and it was NOT a service dog. The staff didn't seem phased at all. I happen to be allergic...not cool..no one thought it was an issue and that guy was in there for about 15 minutes. There were a few people in front of me, but it would have been nice for someone to acknowledge my existence, more than once. I was standing there for a good 15 minutes, I couldn't sit next to the dog..and then finally when it came time to be helped, the representative claimed my friend and I would have to pay a whopping 50.00 each just to be able to make phone calls while in Canada and switch our pre-pay service to post pay. We called customer service and they told us it would only be an added $15 on one phone. The disparity between what I was told at the store and what we were told by customer service is inexcusable! Paul was very helpful in transferring data, etc. Went back the next day to exchange the new phone due to my error in selecting the wrong color. Rafi, the manager, was very understanding and patient. He even waived the restocking fee which I clearly expected to pay. That's a great start to my relationship with T-Mobile. read more

I've had my share of bad experiences with T-Mobile, but this particular location is a cut above the others. I recently stopped in because I bought a new unlocked phone from Amazon which needed a different size SIM than my existing phone. Rather than sell me a new SIM, the representative cut my existing SIM (from micro to nano) to fit my new phone. She then installed the SIM in my new phone and spent about 10 minutes making sure everything worked, even going into the settings to optimize the connection. All of this was done for absolutely no charge. read more
