I received a quote right away to install a bracket (provided by me) and mount my 85" tv on it. I was quoted $69 + $550 for two persons. I was a bit shocked because it was more than twice the amount of the second most expensive quote we received. I confirmed with Sam via text that the price was correct because it was more than twice the price of 4 other quotes I received. He confirmed that it was indeed correct. Working with Revelation Services and Tim's Team designing my customized home theatre was an absolute pleasure. Other quotes I received from related home theatre companies was more of a 'cookie-cutter' approach of what you should get in a townhome. I found Revelation Services through a typical Google review search along with taking a look at BBB. Once I spoke with Tim and once you speak with him you can tell his passionate about his craft and actually listens to the customer; that's something new to me. Lol! However, closely working with Tim, he designed a theatre system (rack, speakers, tv, WAPs, running cables (all types) from all 3 floors, etc.) that reflected my optimal seating area, centralizing the sound precisely where I wanted to be seated. Tim has a team of an electrician, plumber, software programmer, painters and more; he can get just about anyone else he needs to complete your project. In addition, he recommended an alternate to a Crestron controller...an app called RTI Panel that can be installed on any Apple or Android device. This is where the software programmer came in handy. He ensured there were proper delays installed in order for each device or option selected would automatically open/close. Suffice to say, not dealing with a plethora of remotes is a first for me and I won't go back to using at least 3 remotes! Summation, at the VERY least, ensure Revelation Services in one of the companies to receive a quote from; he really does stand out from some of the competitors. Just be careful...he truly does not know the word no and will install any option/feature you want. But, the important key is that he will tell you if what you want works and if it's a good 'bang-for-your-buck'. read more

We needed a TV mounted on the wall and Revelation Services provided a quote and arrived at the scheduled time. I thought we needed an IR extender, but turns out that was not required. Tim and crew did an extremely careful job dealing with an old house and plaster walls and mounted the TV unit at the right height - due to some careful checking before installation - and they managed to get it perfectly level - see picture. Spent three hours on the phone with the owner, Tim, on 8/16. He promised to get an estimate out on Friday 8/19, but I never heard back from him and still hadn't even though I've reached out twice after 8/19. I had to complain on yelp in order for him to text me back.. After reaching out he apologized and made me feel comfortable enough to take down my negative review. Sure enough though, a couple weeks after taking down the review he ghosted me again. Last heard from him on 9/7, it's now 10/19 and I've heard nothing even though he promised to follow up with a final estimate. He seems to make promises that he cannot keep, which is super annoying. I'm okay with businesses deciding not to provide an estimate, but the poor communication just feels rude. I would also add that while providing details about the project, I found it difficult to get a word in with him. He just talks non stop. He did appear to be knowledgeable but is probably not a very good listener. If there is some complexity to your project you should probably go elsewhere. EDIT: Tim's reply is indicative of how he does things it seems. Zero accountability on his end. See the attached screenshot where he provided some information about the estimate and said he would follow-up. Never heard back from him until I posted my review this morning EDIT 2: Notice how he ignores the fact that he said he would follow-up but never did. Again, zero accountability and almost seems like gaslighting. Choose wisely folks. EDIT 3: Adding yelp and text messages from the first time he ghosted me so it's documented here and others can know to avoid this guy. He does an awful job of setting expectations with clients and in some cases just outright lies about timelines on when he'll follow up. I gave him a second chance to make things right after I initially posted this review back in August. He barely apologized and instead tried to act like I had my dates messed up. Tim and his team were knowledgeable, professional, and experts at their trade. I had a Big Box store do the initial installation of my TV over my fireplace and for unknown reasons they did a subpar job. It took years for the issues to appear (namely they didn't not use a large enough mount to reach the studs in the wall and only secured my TV in the drywall) and I am fortunate that a disaster was avoided. I contacted them for assistance, but only got the runaround. After calling to a few TV mount providers who offered varying degrees in confidence in their ability to address the issue to my satisfaction (and providing widely varying estimates) I got in contact with Tim.   With the brief details I provided Tim was able to accurately assess the issue and provide a remedy. Tim and his team communicated with me throughout the process and ensured that I was absolutely satisfied with the job done. The cost for the service was competitive with other estimates I received especially considering the repair work that they had to do because of the poor installation by the Big Box store. You might find a cheaper provider, but you get what you pay for. Revelation Services did an excellent job and I have no reservations about recommending them to anyone who wants the job done right the first time. read more

The picture on my tv had grown very dim to almost not being able to see anything. I had reached out to Tim, the owner, about possibly fixing it. Because of how cheap the tv was, it would ultimately cost more to fix it and not be worth it. Tim stayed on the phone with me to talk through what to look for in a tv when buying a new one. I tried a well-known TV mounting firm, explaining that I simply needed help unpacking a 55" Sony TV and putting it on a dresser. Nothing fancy. I would take care of the technical side. No luck. The company explained it simply mounted TVs on walls. By contrast, Tim promptly and cheerfully responded to my request even though this was not the most remunerative of jobs. In fact, he came out during the evening. He is the owner of the company, and he acted that way. I can't talk about fancy technical feats, since that's not what Tim did. I stopped into their location on Eisenhower then was advised to reach out to get advise on having my existing (2) rear surround speakers mounted to my wall in my living space for in-wall wiring to my existing home theater receiver. This was about a 35' in-wall wiring job per speaker. Without doing any measurements to confirm the run, or wall composite/supports behind, etc., I was verbally quoted "around $2,300 for the job! Instead I was told I should get rid of my existing home theater, and 70" smart TV and buy an entire new Sonos home theater system from them. I asked for a comparative written quote for the Sonos and wiring the two speakers so I could see the actual costs associated. I was told they would be the same cost either way and no written estimate would be necessary, "no point in throwing good money after old equipment" was the explanation for no written quote. I was also charged the $95 consult fee to come to my home just to tell me to dump my entire home system, buy a new Sonos home theater system and TV which could have been done on the phone and saved the $95 fee. Ironically, I contacted two other home theater companies, received two similarly priced - much lower quotes for the job. I found a great company who advised me on my home theater product needs, Crutchfield was their name, and with their help and advice on my existing--good system (their words), I purchased (2) new Polk in-wall rear surround speakers, mounting brackets and the wiring needed for my home theater. They also recommended a local home theater installation company, which I contacted and they are doing the entire job with a written quote as requested within an hour after our phone call and my detailed equipment model info and photos of the space and install plan, this weekend! They quoted it to be 2 men at 4 hours for $450! This quote also included patch and paint work which Revelation said would yet an additional cost above the $2,300 for "return trips" around to complete the wall spackling needs. Tim made a house visit and provided me with an estimate and made several great recommendations to ensure the end result would leave a clean look including moving and reinstalling electrical, hiding the cable wire/box and attaching my soundbar to the TV for a streamlined look. He and his colleagues were extremely patient and courteous throughout the process. Due to the nature of the amount of work, it took about 7 hours to complete the job but once it was all said and done, it looked and worked as it should. Alittle more instruction on how to use the contraption would have been helpful but eventually I figured it out on my own. I did appreciate the follow-up from Tim a few days later to see how it was going. Tim was prompt to the minute (don't you hate those guys who tell you "8 o'clock" and call you at 11 to say they're delayed?) Tim and Justin did an amazing job mounting a 75 inch TV on a wall above my work space (desk and computer). Very smooth and seamless process, they completely hid the wire in the wall, answered any questions I had, and worked around my requests.
