I rarely go into the store to get customer service to buy a phone, let alone anything else for my phone service. I usually do everything online. The customer service was exceptional. The lady who was helping me out was very kind and polite. She took the much needed time to help get everything transferred that I needed And helped immensely when choosing a phone. I found it kind of strange when I was asked to have a photo taken of me holding a paper about their promo for their monthly streaming service for their phones. Why they waited til I was the only customer in there To do that, I will never know That was the only thing that made me very uncomfortable The other employee a man who tried to convince me to buy it after I politely declined asked me to do that and said he would be in the picture but stood 6 feet away for social distancing, then they were tagging either him or I or both for the photo , I wish that whole ordeal hadn't been going on As it made me extremely uncomfortable I hope they didn't post my photo with that promo And I sure hope they didn't tag him when I was the only one holding it, and I sure hope they didn't tag me without my permission read more

Horrible attitude when I was asking questions about my getting a new phone added because I had lost mine. I wanted simply to see what my options were of course getting a new iPhone for 380 is better than paying 250 for a insurance phone. She kept getting my password wrong so i don't know if that created her having a nasty attitude. I walked back and asked if she worked off commission and she said it didn't matter. So basically on top of having rude manners she also doesn't care about making a sale. I'm so glad there are T-Mobile everywhere and I as business owner train my employees to have a good positive attitude no matter what the case my be. I can at least say I was being as nice as possible. Too bad I'm so glad I don't have to clock in anywhere. read more

This store used to be great. The staff cannot multi task or chooses not too. They get help from other stores and then don't have tablets with the systems available to actually process changes so you end up waiting even longer to be helped. I would not recommend this location at all. read more

Great staff to time to explain everything, were all masked and very distance aware. Compared to Xfinity, the staff was warm and informative in person and by phone. Giuseppe was about as professional as a person could get. My wife and I needed to replace our old LG phones which we have had for years and really weren't looking forward to the experience but he made everything seamless! From start to finish he explained everything to a T, non pun intended, and when we walked out 45 minutes we couldn't have been happier. New phones in hand, duplicates of our old phones but faster and 4 times the memory, were are now ready to take on the future of telecommunication. I temporarily lost my phone tonight for about 4 hours. It made me so sad that I almost started weeping at Trader Joe's (i.e. one of the happiest places on earth). How will I let people know that I'm buying chocolate brownie oat bars?! I was so dismayed (my phone and I have a very serious relationship) that J took me to T-mobile to see what could be done and to buy me a new phone. YAY! BEST. HUSBAND. EVER. It was pretty crowded for a Friday night, with the usual population of confused old people and families.* Does no one go to the phone store alone? But the savior of the night was Emily, who helped set me up with a brand-new super shiny smartphone, case, screen protector, all at an upgrade price AND put us on a cheaper family plan. She is a superstar. So patient and friendly, answering all our questions. Needless to say, I was very ecstatic to bid adieu to Android 1.5 (the horror!)... all thanks to the help of Emily and the wallet of J. Hooray! * This store is pretty large and sparkly new, but be prepared to wait for a while for service. There is a bill pay kiosk machine in the corner. Went to this t-mobile since it was close to my in laws house and I was in desperate need of a phone after mine died the night before. I walked in and got lucky enough to be helped by the manager, Rafael. He was super helpful, never pushy, and gave me straight anwers. I hate going to a place and feeling like I was hustled but I never felt like that one bit. He explained the pros and cons of getting certain phones and ultimately gave me time to make my decision (a lot of time, I was there for 3 hours). After I bought my phone he helped me put my screen protector on and transfered all my data from my old phone. His customer service was great and I truly wish him the best of luck as the newly appointed manager at this location. He was awesome and I'll be putting a good word in to tmobile Corp just to ensure he gets the recognition he deserves. Thanks Rafael, for being patient and so helpful! read more

I stopped in to this store to pay my bill and because I need to quickly recharge the battery on my cell phone. I appreciate that this T-Mobile Store is not as pushy as the stores in the city. I clearly wanted to check out phones myself and no one bothered me. In the past, I dealt with a female manager who was extremely helpful and set up our new family plan. This experience was just as good. The salesman I spoke to answered all of my questions and was knowledgeable and polite. When I witnessed him encounter a difficult customer, who was hard to understand and somewhat dissatisfied, he kept his cool and responded appropriately. Overall, very impressed with the employees at this location. read more

I usually go to the Loyola location, where I get good service, or even the Howard location. I would have to say Old Orchard is my least favorite location. When I went in for a Note7 recall/warranty swap, they tried to sell me another phone outright and it was just more work to have customer service communicate to them the company direction for doing the swap. At this location, I've also had an employee approach me asking if I like Beats accessories, to which I said I'm not interested. The employee then came right out and asked, "Well, can you just buy something and return it in a few days? It makes our sales look better than what they actually are." I had a prepaid T-Mobile account for my cell phone. My boss said to switch to their service so I would no longer have a cell phone bill. At the time I had $113.56 in my prepaid account. I made the switch to another carrier and have since contacted T-Mobile regarding the balance of my account. Guess what...I'm not getting any money back. I have to say I have had the best phone upgrading experience at T-Mobile Store # 524. I had three different gentlemen assist me in upgrading, answering and troubleshooting issues that we encountered while successfully navigating moving from a 11 apple pro to a 12 apple pro 5 G. Osama Abdelli, Isaac Justice, and Austin Aguon were assisting me throughout my visit and I have never been more impressed at how each one these individuals were able to multi-task every situation we encountered to get a successful upgrade. If I am in Portland, I only trust these professionals and this store location (store number 524 for all my cell phone service needs. I am now an extremely happy Sprint and T-Mobile merged customer. This was my very first in store T-mobile experience and man on man am I glad I live in this neighborhood and chose to walk through their doors. You could not meet a better group of down to earth professionals who were very attentive to all of my needs. I left completely satisfied and I actually learned a few things about my phone and T-mobile service that i was previously unaware of. Definitely check this store out (store # 524) @ Broadway & MLK in Portland. It took over 4 plus months to receive my reimbursement for 3 lines from switching over from Verizon. I was planning on using the reimbursement to pay for the Verizon bill, instead I accrued late fees on Verizons bill for each month unpaid. I called T-Mobile over 5 times to no avail. Actually I got hung up on by the customer care reps on the phone in my home and also in the store when they called for me! It's common for them to hangup when they don't know how to answer your question. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!! read more

After a headache of a situation with a stolen phone and lots of misinformation from phone calls to Tmobile and the insurance company, I finally got someone who knew what they were doing. Karem is a wonderful and knowledgeable employee at this location. She was able to sort out all the mistakes of others and calmly get me setup with my new phone. I am so thankful for her patience and knowledge. I will also be contacting tmobile to be letting them know how wonderful and helpful she was. I have been in many T-Mobile stores and there is a great difference in the service you receive. I was vacationing in Skokie and stopped into the store in the Old Orchard Mall. David E. was the person who helped me and he was one of the best employees in the T-Mobile stores that I had visited. You should be proud to have someone like him representing your brand. I came in to ask how to use some of the features on my phone. Not only did he answer all of my questions and show me what to do, but he gave other valuable suggestions as to how I could simplify the ways I use my phone. He was knowledgeable and professional and knew all of the answers. While I was working with David E., another David in the same store was helping my husband buy a FitBit. My husband said that this David was also helpful, knowledgeable and made it easy for my husband to take care of his purchase. read more

I always get problems with billing---overcharging, not giving credits, etc. Specifically, when we first started, our monthly bill was promised to be at a certain amount with all the fees and taxes included, but when I check the actual bill every month it is usually $10-20 higher than was promised. In the first few months, I contested these amounts, but it got tedious. The amount of time wasted calling and straightening it out was not worth my time. Moreover, I feel aggravated and very dissatisfied after talking to them. I also didn't get rebates from the smartphones we bought, and was charged an initial fee that was promised to be waived. Again, I tried contesting these, but I got the run-around between the store and corporate. I got tired, and just took the losses. Now, I'm just waiting for the contract to be over, so I can switch. I know my case is not Isolated because some of my friends also had the same experience with T-mobile. So to new customers, my advice would be to get names of salespeople or managers, and have their promises be made in writing to hold them accountable. I usually trust people on their word, but there are just people and businesses that do not follow the unwritten rules of good commerce. read more

These guys are completely lost. The company itself was running a promotion for free internet for tablets yet no one at this store knows how to do it. Wasted over 2-3 hours in multiple locations besides this one where the employees had no idea what to do. Doesn't someone get trained here? Even the main person in charge was either not willing to do it or just didn't feel lie it - no idea. At one point one guy stepped in and said let me do it - like he was doing me a favor... I understand it's free but it's a promotion your company has come up with. If you guys don't like it then tell the company otherwise I expect you to know how to do anything. Also I think they have some kind of issue with chairs at all the locations? Why are customers not allowed to sit down while they wait?? Stupid! read more

This store and T-Mobile service are, at best, just a frustration. I switched to T-Mobile in order to have international service for my daughter traveling abroad. The phone that we bought broke less than 6 weeks into the trip and she was in Europe where it could not be replaced. She had to get another phone in Europe. When I returned to the store with the broken phone, after she returned to the states with it, they were only willing to replace it with the same model, which I didn't trust and which was useless because by then I was not interested in using T-Mobile as my cell carrier. Further, the replaced phone couldn't be unlocked (so I could donate it to a shelter!) because it hadn't been used (active) for the required number of days. This was because my daughter had to use the phone she got in Europe to replace the phone that broke before the required time period for unlocking even that phone. Had the original phone worked, it would have been able to be unlocked -- quite a catch 22. Needless to say, we will never use T-Mobile service or products again. read more
