I stopped in three times last week.... Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. A couple of weeks prior, my iPhone 11 had issues, I went to another AT&T store, and they informed me that I could get a refurbished phone through the 3rd party Asurion. To make a long story short, the refurbished iPhone 12 that Asurion sent me on 5.13.2025 was defective, and although it took 3 trips to AT&T Skokie and another replacement being sent overnight to me by Asurion, AT&T Skokie helped me throughout the entire process, and by Friday 5.30.2025, I had a working iPhone again. (the 3 trips were in no way the fault of AT&T Skokie, it was due to the defective refurbished iPhone 12 that Asurion sent me on 5.13.2025) I want to give a shout-out and appreciation to both Gerardo and Byron. There knowledge and Customer Service was outstanding, and hopefully knock on wood all my iPhone issues are OK now, but if anything goes wrong again and/or it's time to buy a new phone, my first stop will definitely be AT&T in Skokie. I came to this location to transfer a business line and create a new account. The person instructed me to call the business line because they can I do it. I found that hard to believe. I went to another branch in Glenview and they transferred my line and set me up with a new account. Too bad the Skokie branch had no clue what to do. I would never go back. My mother and I went to this store to get new phones last week, they weren't in stock so they mailed them to our house and said we could bring them in to set up or do it at home. I was able to set my phone up at home easily. My mother on the other hand has had issues in the past with her iCloud not backing up properly and has lost many sentimental messages, so she wanted to get this done in store so she could have expert help in case it happened again. We went in today and were met with Sal. Sal was dismissive from the moment we walked in. I explained the situation of her past experiences and treated my mother and I like we were idiots for not doing this at home. I understand if the store was busy, we were happy to wait for some assistance. He went to backup her old phone on iCloud and as the backup finished I noticed that he didn't turn on the messages backup, which was her original issue in the first place. In order to back up her messages her old phone needed to be plugged in so we asked if they had a spare charger for us to use and again he was dismissive. We promptly left the store, since we had no help anyways. I went home to do the backup and everything. As predicted some issues arose so I brought my mother to another store. The wait time in this low traffic store is terrible. I completed my switch from T-Mobile remotely because of the lack of service most retail stores offer. Unfortunately, I was forced into the store to complete a trade in. They have a self serve kiosk in the back of the store that should be enhanced to complete trade-ins. They had two reps working on a Friday. In addition, they had a floor manager and I am assuming what is a merchandising person who was posted up behind a counter at a computer the whole hour I waited to trade in a phone. I would highly recommend updating trade ins to be completed at the self serve kiosk. Or the floor manager can multitask small transactions when folks aren't walking in. Until he started helping sales instead of service. The staff taking so long made me not want to spend my trade in money here. They are oblivious to other people's time. read more

We felt very rushed and salesman said he couldn't spend more time with us to help us learn the upgrade and said he had 5 customers waiting . We did not get the help we needed and ended up going to the Apple Store after that to help us with the set up. This is a review of AT&T not the store. (I do not fault the sales reps. They told me the store has been devastated by pandemic layoffs and we all have to earn a living and follow corporate guidelines. Hence 3 stars for the store, zero for AT&T.) AT&T does not advertise or sell services in a truthful way. When they advertise rates per line (like the screenshot below), beware! AT&T is not giving you the entire price for the cell service. Instead, AT&T deceptively focuses your attention on what the bill will list as "access" to the cell service for each line. When you get that first monthly bill, you'll also discover an additional "monthly charge for the service" (such as unlimited data). This is a very dishonest way of marketing and selling services. As soon as possible, I'll be finding a better deal. In the meantime, in the interest of at least helping a few other customers, take note. If you're thinking of using AT&T, be sure to get a complete rundown of ALL monthly charges before signing up for a plan. read more

She blamed that my new phone was not working and asked me to have it exchange. I went to apple store and explain to them and requested to exchange. By the time I waited for another phone I took a working card to put it in the new phone and it work. But it is late the exchange was processed. I used the card she gave me and put in my working phone and it's it not working. It s "no sim" again. Left the apple store I came back to this store and they close so early " at 6. I preface this by saying that I've been an AT&T customer since 1995, and I've never considered switching. There are three other AT&T stores in this area between Evanston, Skokie and Lincolnwood, but this one is my favorite. The Sales side can be crowded and busy, causing sometimes long wait times, yet they are always courteous and attentive. But what makes this location so great is the Service side. They can be busy too, yet they always manage to get us in quickly, and they are always eager to diagnose any problem we're having and offer good solutions. My phone had been giving me error messages and freezing up lately, so tonight we stopped in. Voltaire took us right away and began working on my phone. I mentioned our bill always being so high (we have 8 lines on our plan) so while he was looking into the phone issue he called someone from the Sales side to do an analysis to see if there was any way to save us some money. It turned out that I already have one of the better older plans that's been discontinued but that I got to keep, plus I have a corporate discount through my employer. In other words, good value for 8 devices! Anyway Voltaire diagnosed the problem, fixed what he could, and ordered me a new battery at no charge, to be shipped to my home since they didn't have it on hand. He also gave me his business card and told me to let him know if I had any other issues. He said he would always take care of us, and I believe him, because that's the type of service I've always gotten with AT&T. read more

We weren't going to be his biggest sale of the day, but he treated us so well, and I really appreciated it. I can't remember the last time I was treated as poorly as I was by the manager, Servando. I came in to pick up a modem for my mother who had just had surgery. She said someone put it aside for her but when I came in, he didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Instead of asking questions to try to understand, he immediately listed reasons he couldn't help me--I needed to be added as an authorized user on my mom's account, they didn't have any DSL modems, I needed to call AT&T. He was patronizing and kept explaining the same few things over and over like he was taking to a child. He had no interest in looking in the back or asking others, and when it was clear I wasn't getting anywhere, I left the store. Shortly after, when my mom called again and confirmed they did indeed have the modem there, I went back to the store. Servando pretended nothing happened and had a fake smile on his face as he handed it to me to purchase. I was so upset with how he had treated me before that I asked him if he wanted feedback, thinking maybe he could learn from this. He said yes but then when I explained how he had been talking down to me and wasn't listening to why I was there, he just denied everything repeatedly, turned bright red, and eventually ran off to help another customer. Servando, if you are going to be in customer service please learn to listen. If you had been receptive when I told you how your behavior made me feel, you wouldn't have ended up with a bad Yelp review. AT&T, please find someone more suited to management. read more

I work at a hospital so I saw that they offer a discount, not a first responder but they said absolutely no problem. The manager brilliantly suggested I sign up for a business plan, it would save me money. What the fuck?!? Ok if it saved me money. First bill arrived and it was astrnomically higher than the rate I was told I was going to receive. I attempted to resolve which i thought could be a misunderstanding that could be easily resolved and all I received was con artist double talk. The last attempt time I came to the store and spoke to manager Maria, she was hostile, rude and combative. Promised to get a hold of me in 24-48 hours and look into my promotions, called and texted her NEVER heard back. When I walked in, i was confronted with a line of 4 sales reps - all waiting to pounce. I should have taken that as a major red flag. I simply wanted to upgrade my daughter's phone - replace her phone with a new one as she was due for an upgrade. The sales rep took out of piece of paper, wrote a bunch of numbers down and explained that if I bought her the phone - i would have to pay for it MONTHLY out of my bill. Wha?! Basically, a $99 iPhone (with a 2 year contract) would actually cost $550 - and I would pay for it over the course of two years. I left, called AT&T and was told what the rep did was "not authorized, incorrect, and not how we do business." This is the second time that I've come to the store and was pushed/encouraged to change my plan. So shady. My advice? If you're buying an iPhone to ad to your plan - go to the Apple store. Or at least talk to AT&T via phone before being subject to railroading by a store sales rep. read more

I Bought a brand new iPhone 5S only to find that it was defective (not a big deal) so I went back to the store, thinking they would honor their 14 day return/exchange policy, much to my surprise, the answer I got from the manager was "We don't do iPhone exchanges here, you'll have to go to the Apple store," so I did just that, only to find that I could only get the phone replaced with A re-manufactured iPhone, took over 24 Hours to get my iPhone replaced, with a new one (which is what I paid for, not a refurbished item). Spent a fair amount of money in 3 hours on Sunday morning (3/20/16) finally giving up my samsung fliphone for an iphone. While i was sorry to see the little lightweight go, the times they are a changing. Had a super extraordinarily patient salesman in Haithem Hamdan totally earn his paycheck for answering a myriad of questions and setting up the phone and teaching me how to use it. Wasn't crowded when the store opened, got crazy busy the later the morning progressed. Still missing the simplicity of the flip, but the new phone is awfully pretty. read more

I came here for the first time today and I plan on never coming back. I returned an unopened flip phone for a user on a family plan that I purchased the day before at another location and they charged me a $45 restocking fee. I called AT&T Business Solutions customer service regarding the restocking fee and as per AT&T corporate's suggestions, I called to speak to a store manager and was kept on hold for a while and they forgot about me. The short tempered, flippant employee (Jaroslaw) that took the return didn't want to help and was abrasive for no reason on the sales floor. Definitely needs better training on basic customer service. The Highland Park employee that sold me the phone and one of the managers on duty stated they will not charge a restocking fee if the box was clearly unopened and would gladly take the full return due to the phone being under a certain price point. I highly recommend the AT&T store in Highland Park or the AT&T store on State St. in Chicago if you want to be treated well and give you top notch thorough service. Heck, Apple store is across the street. Never had a problem in my life with AT&T since I have been a customer since 2002 (AT&T Wireless/Cingular days), this is sadly a first for me. If the employee engaged me a little better, I had questions and am considering adding an additional line to my service. If I was better engaged overall and respected like the employees on the five star reviews, I would not have a need to post this review and recommend to go elsewhere. read more

Went back this past Tuesday. Father's S4 completely died on Memorial Day. Had to go next door (support department) to get an exchange. Was told by customer care support that most likely, the replacement would be a certified refurbished one. Talked to Voltaire and he stated they had no refurbished ones since it's a brand new phone out on the market less than a month. He talked to the manager next door (Tony) and he approved the exchange with a new one. Jake helped us setup the new phone and was very polite and professional during this process. I am very impressed with the store's (company's) customer service. They go way beyond to help their customers. I had doubts since I moved from my previous carrier and experience with AT&T home lines. Yea, I know... who still uses landlines?!?! All employees are friendly, courteous, HONEST, and professional at this location. Never had a problem with anyone. I can speak from experience dealing with other company store locations which I will not name. Thanks for helping my father out with the phone issue! Your location is my "go-to" store if I have any issues. I will drive from Lindenhurst, all the way down to this location without any hesitation. She sat outside with me and helped me install the correct bank app on my phone. She also helped me get a new password set up. She was very patient and got me through all of my problems.
