We have had this place on the list to try for a while now. We finally made our way over to JC on a Friday evening. We were told to seat ourselves as soon as we entered. Plenty of tables available. The waitress was quick to take our drink order and bring menus. I must say that the menu is extensive and slightly overwhelming. There is truly so much to choose from, so I'm posting pics of the entire menu to help others browse before they arrive. We ended up going with mozzarella sticks and a supreme pizza. Driving north from Metropolis where we were visiting the Super Museum.. up to central IL, which is home. We decided to give T-Moe's Pizza a try on a total whim, as it was super conveniently located right off the highway. Everyone working was super friendly, our server was quick and attentive. Atmosphere was about as casual as it gets a few random decorations on the walls, and a couple tv's placed throughout. We ordered a 14in sausage pizza, and side of fries. The fries were hot a crispy, just the way you want them. The pizza although hot and fresh, had hardly an flavor to speak of. Crust was a little too doughy for our liking, and the sausage tasted pretty bland. Okay okay okay... when trucking across the USA.. you get tired of that ONE slice of pizza from the travel centers.. so let me put you on GAME... we wanted some pizza - but not travel center, gas station or the national chains type.. we wanted PIZZA.. being in 18wheels can make it hard to go deep in to town's & cities... now, we were on i57 in Illinois at Exit 59 (northbound).. and found this spot! Okay so BAM.. there was a photo of their pizza from a year ago on Yelp.. so that is what made us stop... and it's right off the highway.. trucks can go over to the gas station & turn around, the shop is across the street... and when I say that this pizza was BUSSIN.. it was sooooo good.. 1st.,. the cheese.. the cheese.. THE CHEESE... THE CHEESE WAS THE EDGES.. THEN the crust, hand tossed, thin but not too thin, the sauce was perfect & not over powering the pizza, perfect ratio of toppings to slices... I just cant say enough!! Now it's obviously dated on the inside.. not much decorations - but you'll be so focused on the deliciousness in front of you that you wont even notice the bland white walls. The young lady taking my order was very attentive and answered any questions I had and made suggestions as well. When I walked back to our truck & went to get Ice, the lady at the gas station was talking about their other items too, & let us know T-Moe's is the hidden gem of the rural-ish area.. she said the philly cheesesteak pizza was amazing too.. yeah so.. if u in the area.. stop here.. you will not be disappointed!! Pizza was great. Ingredients were cooked all the way to the edge. Zero crust maximum pizza. I think it's called borderless crust. Any way the pizza was really tasty. I love how crispy the pepperoni and ham both were. We found this on our way through to Texas. This is a must stop for food. read more

The food was ok. Just ok. We ordered the 10" pizza with sausage and pepperoni. We had an order of wings and some Jalapeno Mac and cheese bites. Nothing really special about it all but it is a small restaurant. The parking was terrible but that has nothing to do with the food. The pizza got old after one slice. Barely any sauce on it but it was ok. The wings had WAAAAYY too much buffalo sauce on it that i couldnt even taste the wings. Now the JMC were awesome. Nothing special but very good. I would go back just for those. The chairs and booths were run down and uncomfortable but still. Small establishment so its what you get sometimes. The server was great. Even though she was by herself i think she did great. No complaints there. Either way there is my review. I will recommend you find out for yourself if you want. Jam and cheese sandwich is , I add banana peppers, Italian beef sandwich freaking awesome! if I could, I would give it -10 stars I've been in there before because I live in town. They have a lunch special from 11 to 2 for 799 really good deal so we sit down in our normal little place that we like to kind of out of the way and quiet so you know me and my hubby can talk about what we got going on the waitress little blonde haired girl with black rim glasses comes up to it very rude go order my drinks and then she said it's no longer included in the 799 for the lunch as of that Monday and we were there on a Wednesday and I'm like that's weird cause it doesn't say that on the menu and before I got a chance to ask her how much a soda was a already left and we're her we're already ready to order because before and we knew what we wanted, but she had walked she comes back and she takes her order. We sit at our table for 30 minutes waiting for our it is a burger and fries. Nothing special she waits on other customers near us looks our direction at least twice and makes eye contact with us and acts like she's gonna come to our table, but to then she proceeds to bring out our food. My to be a fourth of a pound was so tiny if I would've been into it, I would've ate nothing but bun because I would not be able to get to my that small and I say something she guess no that's a fourth of a pound. No, it's not to pick it up and put it in my it was fresh and I would not be able to pick up a hamburger and put it in my hand and when we proceeded to ask for a manager and it is tells me there is no manager and won't be there until 4 o'clock. That's kind of dumb so I offered to pay for my soda does not they're 250 each then because I use my debit card they charge you an extra fee that you don't know about until after you already order your food to go pay think is bull crap. There's quite a little at the cook and her was the only people in that restaurant working. Supposedly happens if you get an order for a delivery because you are a pizza place and my husband had a a coworker that was there at the same time eating that we were he had left shortly after got there he said his food was hot fresh quick, and he did not get charged extra for his soda now I've been fine if they would've put a sign on the door saying hey as of whatever date you know, your soda will not be included in the 799 if I would've seen I would've turned around and went to our other local restaurant in town so I wait and I call the manager and I asked the manager she she was very like well when your husband went to go ask for a manager he F word no I could hear him. He never cussed in front of customers, but she said that that's what her waitress told her then she needs a whole story. Well, your waitress is a liar. You should go check your cameras and see how long we waited and why our food was cold and you could tell exactly what my husband said, and there was no cussing involved and I was talking to her. She snaps at me and says can I talk I was not done telling you what I needed to tell you like you were rude. Needless to say I will not ever go back now. I understand why they're hiring and they're always hiring because if you have a manager, that's that much of a bitch I wouldn't wanna work there either. read more

T-moes pizza is a must visit. It's an easy stop of I-57 if you're driving through and a local hotspot for those who live in the area. They recently remodeled and expanded the business so stop in if it's been awhile. I had lunch here with my family recently. We came in around 2-3pm and the whole place was ours. We sat near the back near the new bar and patio to watch the game. The entire restaurant is sparkling clean and the food smells fresh and delicious as soon as you step inside. We ordered 2 large pizzas to share and my husband got the taco burger which was HUGE. He said the burger was delicious but I'm here to talk pizza. We had the buffalo chicken pizza and a ham and pineapple pizza. This was more than enough for 3 of us to share. Both pizzas were AMAZING. I honestly couldn't tell you which I liked better. The pineapple was so juicy and the amount of cheese of the buffalo chicken pizza was unreal. I really don't think you can go wrong here. From service, to cost, and quality everything was perfect. If you're in the mood for some Sam's Club style sides this is your place. Albeit, a bit expensive for what you get. $8 for 10 wings and $5 for 8 mushrooms. The advertised Chicago Hot dog was why I stopped by. Left disappointed. While it looked good, even though it was missing the celery salt, it was cold. No, not all the toppings, the hot dog itself. You could tell that it had been heated somewhat but the inside wasn't cooked. Took about 3 bites and sat it aside. So, at $12 for a Chicago Hot Dog, fries and 8 mushrooms... Overpriced. Food was, meh. Wouldn't stop by again. Also, while I personally did not try the wings I overheard another gentleman that did talking about them. He ordered the mild wings and was complaining about how hot they were. Not physically hot, spicy hot. The waitress acknowledged that they were spicy and offered to get him some ranch or blue cheese but he declined. So, keep that in mind if you're ordering their wings. T-Moe's Pizza is an extremely conveniently located restaurant with good food. Located one block from Interstate 57 Johnston City Exit it has comfortable seating both inside and on the outdoor patio. The service is great. My waitress Jo immediately seated me, gave me my choice of tables, recommended their most popular dishes (I chose the Italian Beef Sandwich aus Jus with in-house made Onion Rings), delivered the food very fast, and offered me a drink for the road without being asked. My sandwich is a favorite in the area. The beef was nicely seasoned and complemented by the Aus Jus and picked peppers. I look forward to trying the pizza on my next trip. read more

She told me their food has gone drastically down hill since their head cook left which apparently had been there for a long time. Local said he left due to ownership. I've heard wonderful things about this place so we came on Sunday afternoon. Me, my bf and our 3 kids. We were greeted at door as soon as we walked in. The waitress was friendly and helped with selecting what to eat. We ordered spaghetti (house made), hand breaded portabella mushrooms, fried chicken special, pizza and cheeseburger. Everyone was pleased with what they ordered. Best of all it was all delivered HOT! Price is reasonable and the service was terrific! We will be coming back! Our server was Michelle. Moved here from St Louis two years ago. First night in town my now wife and I went to TMoes and had the pizza...we both couldn't believe how good it was. We are both originally from the area and have been to all the so called good local places...Quatros, Mackie's, Walt's, and so on. Growing up in Benton we also had the wonderful experience of Pizza Shack, which up until now ranked as the best pizza in S Illinois. It has since closed so I can without any doubt or hesitation say that TMoes is the best pizza in S Illinois full stop. With the recent addition of their patio and alcohol service they are hands down a place to come for great pizza and cold beer. The only negative I can mention is their credit card reader takes forever to process a card! This and their apparent short staffing make for some long waits to pay for your meal. And their delivery drivers are always very prompt and courteous. Keep it up guys! read more
