Will never return to this nail salon! Called and was told that they closed at 8. Arrived at 7:52 and no one would service me. All of the techs declined saying no...I was not a new client to the salon, been here several times. The manager comes up and says we close at 8 and take our last client at 7:30 I advised her that I called and was told as long as you are here before 8, then your fine. She didn't care, just walked away! Going out of town in the morning and wasted time driving all the way here! Passed a crazy amount of shops to get here in order to get rejected. The experience with Briana at T&N was more than perfect. I had a bad experience there with a different receptionist, but Briana made it better by offering me a free gel mani for my troubles. I have been going to T&N for years, and everytime I go in there, Briana is helpful, courteous, and professional. I can show her a picture of my color, and she'll go through about 500+ colors to ensure I have the one I want. If I ever have an issue with a nail tech, Briana handles the situation both quickly and professionally. It's a shame she doesn't work everyday, because the other receptionists they bring in there are unprofessional, rude, and nothing like her. I usually only go into the nail shop when Briana is there, because any other receptionist isn't quite like her. read more

I made tow appointments to have a fill for my eye lashes and both time less than an hour before my appointment I was told she wasn't going to be at work on time and wanted to reschedule. Went in for a mani/pedi. The receptionist was bilingual which was great. She understood what I wanted and had a technician greet me and take me to my seat. The technician was pleasant he greeted me, offered me the chair and began working on my feet. He soaked my foot for maybe 2 minutes before he cleared the old polish off my toes. He then clipped and filed my toe nails. Before long he was finished with the toes. He then used a small sponge and soap washed my feet, applied oil to my legs and told me to put on my flip flops so he could polish my toes. Now usually I'm used to having my feet massaged and my heels scrubbed. None of that took place. That was the worst pedicure I've ever received. Since I was already there and had requested the service I went ahead and got the manicure. Now that was a very different experience. He took his time and completed my nails as I requested and I am pleased with the outcome of the manicure. read more

Came in for a pedi with a friend. The girl didn't greet us the door. She pointed and told us to sign the waitlist. We were sat right after picking colors, but the nail techs were less than pleasant. Rushed our pedicures after us declining their $50 pedicure. My tech had an attitude after she stabbed my foot with her long nails. $25 for a 25 minute basic pedicure and blah service. read more

I come here every once in a while because it is close to my job and when I need a relaxing lunch break I go get my nails done. Laurel in general has many options but nothing that great with stellar reviews..so I choose convenience. With that said, I always have to smh when I walk into this place. The receptionist is BEYOND unprofessional. You're lucky if she greets you with a hello and can be bothered to take her face out of her phone ( YOU"RE AT WORK, GET OFF YOUR PHONE). She will YELL for the technician and lazily point to where you need to be seated. She doesn't offer you any colors to choose when you told her you were getting a gel manicure so your manicurist is scrambling to get you situated. The manicurists are nothing to brag about either. They don't bother to start a conversation, and I don't know about most, but I like to engage with a person who is sitting directly in front of me for a half an hour, regardless of a language barrier. The last time I was here the receptionist was walking around eating out of a bag of Oreos and talking to a woman getting her nails done (a friend I assume) while I watched three people stand at the front counter waiting for over a few minutes to pay. Each time, someone had to call her to go up and do her job. She didn't bother to apologize for keeping them waiting, or even asked how their services were, didn't engage in any kind of conversation...just blatantly rude. When it was my turn to pay, I waited for awhile while she just stood by the pedicure chairs... didn't bother to ask how everything was, or attempt to communicate a pleasant demeanor. The inside of this salon is rather large and nicely decorated. It is a shame that the staff makes it almost unbearable. Coming from an extensive background of customer service I take it pretty seriously. I got dip brow two weeks ago today. After ONE WEEK my nails were cracking and falling apart. I couldn't come back until today to get them fixed, and when I came in, Vanny told me it was because it had been two weeks and my nails had grown. That isn't the case. They had already been falling apart the week prior and I found out today that the reason why was because Nyla did my nails and she is still new and learning. So my nails falling apart has nothing to do with my nails growing. I've gotten dip powder plenty of times before and even after FOUR weeks my nails have never looked this bad. I was so irritated that Vanny tried to blame them looking this bad on my nail growth, that I just got up and left. I will never return! read more

I've been going here for quite awhile now and recently have noticed a real drop in sanitary conditions. Not sure if they have properly trained their employees in appropriate handling of clean instruments. They are often mixed with contaminated ones on the same tray. Ick. I have been hesitant to post this on line -- each visit I figure will be better than the one before. I use to love going here since I would get great service for what I pay. The last couple of time it was not good. I got a male technician I never had before so I told him I am very specific about my nails. I told him I am going on vacation to somewhere hot and need to get a pedicure and gel mani. He recommended a gel pedi too since I will be on the beach and pool. Two days later I was at the pool and realized my gel pedi was peeling off. This has never happened before. By the end of my trip my nails were a hot mess! The second time I went back to give it a try one time since I use to love this place. I told the technician I needed tips but I want very very thin acrylic since I do t intent on keeping these nails on too long. He made my nails look so unnatural and chunky. I kept telling him it needs to be filed down and he said he wasn't finished and to trust him. When he was finish it was the same. I didn't complain since there was no time for me to get them redone. After the wedding, I went to another salon to get them from over and because it was done so poorly with cheap material, it ripped all my nails. They do not sanitize the pedicure tub either before the next customer. read more

I live close so the convenience is great but when the quality is so poor i rather drive a little bit. The length was wrong, the nails were crookedly filed, the french tip wasn't placed accurately on the smile line, and i asked for a design on one nail from the displays and she said they wont come out like that because they (the displays) come from vietnam. I was just a bit surprised. So then i askedfor a simple white orchid, and she did half of a star it looked odd. While curing the nails at the uv station i spoke to few other ladies and had the same complaint about the designs and spoke to the receptionist the receptionist told them to ask for "ghetto" nails so they do them, but the receptionist warned them that the "nail techs" may not do it because THEY think its ugly. As someone who works in the beauty industry you do what the customer wants when it come to aesthetics the purpose of being in this field is to please and advise your clients to make them happy and feel good. But lets get real the nail techs here are only looking to make money they could care less about the client its quite obvious when they use a dirty file, dirty station, dirty nail drill bit, and the lady next to me has hettech on her iphone the whole time. Theyve got some real professionals working for them! Catch the sarcasm? First time coming here after reading about the review and my experience was terrible. First, I go in and I'm greeted very nicely but the lady asks me why I don't do gel set or deep acrylic(?). When I kindly decline, I'm directed to a chair where the lady named Amy is going to take care of me introduces me to deep acrylic nails again. I kindly decline no after hearing the price and she begins to work on my nails. She quickly finishes me up in less than 35min and doesn't hear my request to make my nails round. All here I'm just like okay, whatever she must want to go home. Then, the surprise hits me at the counter when I asked how much it was, the front desk lady quietly says $45. When I told her I didn't get the deep acrylic, she looks at Amy and Amy says "you said yes. I deeped and you said yes." I just gave both them a smirk cause I just knew this was going to happen. They intentionally do this from the beginning. Please be careful to those who go here the first time. They will not hear your request and act like they can't speak English at the end. I went in for the first time yesterday for a full set and a pedicure. I thought this place was going to be clean and pristine as it appears on their website. As a previous nail technician and esthetician I am rather picky when it comes to cleanliness and sanitation, which is why I wanted to go to T&N. This place isn't clean. It doesn't appear they sanitize their utensils OR their nail files in between clients. There is product all over their furniture and pedicure chairs. I also watched someone get their brows waxed and the lady doing the wax double-dipped using the same stick in between wax applications. That's a big no-no as far as sanitation is concerned. My basic pedicure was....okay. That's it. Nothing to write home about. I didn't have to wait very long but then again, I went in on a Sunday. It wasn't too packed. My full set turned out nice and the lady who did them was very friendly. There are pros and cons to going to this place but I would recommend somewhere else. I'm still on the lookout for a SANITARY location that actually does a good job. read more

I have gone to this nail salon for about 2 years. At first it was the place to go, they usually have a decent amount of people working, not too much of a wait time, and somewhat ok service. The last few times I went, I started to notice that there are sanitary issues, walls are dirty, hand and feet dryer are dirty, floor not swept, it no longer has that spa feel when you enter. I went today to try again, the nail tech needs to be trained on how to sculpt broken nails, he needs to ask customer what they would prefer instead of taking over. I will no longer patron this visit, hopefully they get it together. read more

Nail Tech's were friendly... however, that does not excuse the lack of quailty work. My nail color chipped after 3 days... which is due to the nail tech not completely covering my entire toe nail with polish. So it chipped on the corners. read more

I got the OPI gel polish manicure. I'm using the word "manicure" lightly, because all you get is a half-assed drop of cuticle remover squirted on SOME of your fingers, before they get shoved in a bowl which has the generic liquid soap from a wall pump in it. (I saw her do it.) The nail lamp had a short in it, and i think that had a lot to do with the poor quality of the application of the polish. The OPI polish is usually a very good product, but it's all in the application. The color, "Louvre Me Not," is gorgeous, though. Too bad it kept popping off. I was back at the salon twice to replace polish that popped off my nails. Two weeks later, when I usually start getting chips, I have managed to pry off the rest of the polish with no damage to my nails. The polish didn't bond properly, which I think is due to 1.) faulty application of the bonding primer, 2.) a shorted nail lamp which resulted in less total time under the lamp, and 3.) a rush job in the first place. I won't be coming back here. EVER. I've said it before, but this time I absolutely mean it. read more

I don't usually bother writing reviews but I was so annoyed with my experience I had to. I asked for a basic mani/pedi and an eyebrow wax. Pedicure was good; felt great and looks nice. My non-English-speaking technician said, half way through, 'Ah, your skin very dry, remove?' Having read the price list and descriptions I had expected this anyway, but the worker apparently felt this was an adequate way to announce he would be upgrading my pedi to a deluxe and doubling my expected price. I repeat - not a single other English word was spoken except that reference to my dry feet. I had expected to pay about $40 total for my services; ended up paying $70. My fingernails look like crap and I was crammed into a back hallway for my eyebrow wax. Complained at the front desk when I received my final bill; clerk was nice, called over my technician and the manager who couldn't understand a word of my problem - or apparently my facial expressions - because they smiled widely and said 'Thank you, all right thank you, see you next time!' Terrible service as soon as I walked through the doors! I enter the salon and was greeted with a horrible attitude by the receptionist. After I told her the service I was looking for (pedicure and gel manicure) she looks around trying to find an available technician to assist me. I see two available people, one technician is shaking her head in a "don't pick me" manner. No one offers to assist me or even give me a wait time for the next available. The "manager" or whatever she was then says "you can come sit here for the pedicure" as I was headed there she said never mind go back and pick a color. I said "I will pick a color in the seat from the gel options to match" she said fine. As I am about to sit down there is still no one selected to help me. The "manager" lady is about to put the plastic cover on and I decided leave, I didn't like the energy in the room. When i was getting up from the seat the manager lady tries pushing me back in the seat and saying no stay. I said "no thank you I want to leave" and she still has her hands on me trying to push me back into the seat i said "please stop touching me I want to leave" and I left. I wasn't welcomed and the service was horrible I'm so glad I left before they started. Unfortunately when I left them I went to another salon in laurel and had another terrible experience (see Modo Nail Bar review) but to wrap up this review ZERO STARS!!!!!!!! read more

I went in for a simple manicure. I had a gel manicure previously, so that had to be removed first. The nail tech I had was nice but very inexperienced. It took him 35 minutes to get the old gel polish off. Then he preceded to take almost an hour to shape, buff my nails and trim my cuticles. It looked decent but not as good as I am accustomed to. I did not get my polish done, because I had already been there so long and I was not sure of his abilities. When I went to pay they charged me 10 to remove the old gel polish and 10 for my "manicure". I could have did better just doing my nails at home. I guess if you are not getting something fancy, they don't care who they stick you with. I will never return. read more

love this place!!! i always come here if i need anything from a waxing to a mani pedi. the staff is very nice and friendly, and they have candy, drinks, and sometimes snacks for the customers! the waiting area is very nice and comfortable, and the whole place has a very cozy and professional feel to it. i highly recommend it. read more

This party should have been over! I have been a loyal customer for at least eight (8) years. After a few months in, during Gel manicures, I was nicked on two fingers (separate occasions) and developed a fungus on both! I had to cover them with Band-Aids for close to a year because they looked so gross. The most I got was $5 off each service during the Band-Aid time because of my two (2) bad nails until they recovered. I was referred to a different technician, and she was the best, until she moved away!!! I have had two appointments that were not scheduled upon my arrival, and someone else had to provide service. RED FLAGS!!! One of those instances (pedi) turned out fine. However, the other, not so much. The technician used a gel polish, and probably did not use enough coats (or the polish was bad) because at least half of my nails chipped/broke within a few days. He seemed distracted the entire time, checking phone, losing track of what he was doing, and arrogant. I dealt with it because I was leaving town the next morning to attend a wedding, and it was almost closing time. At least I had the good sense not to allow him to do a manicure. All of my fingers probably would have been cut off. Also, I had to have him "refile" my nails because they were jagged around the edges. Any delicate clothing or body parts would not have stood a chance! That was the most uneasy service I have had, having to watch or coach him the entire time. I returned for my next service (with new technician), and when the gel was removed, my nails were orange, which just finished growing out since Aug. 2017. The technician (orange man) was no longer employed there, thank goodness! I STILL WENT BACK!!! My new technician who I saw for the last few months was great-professional, nice personality, good filing. BTW, personality it's not high on my priority list if you provide good service, but basic respect and good manners go a long way. After some convincing, I began to get SNS, with the selling point is that it lasts longer (4 weeks), so it's worth the extra cost. I have been satisfied with this process (about 3 times) until recently. I had SNS applied on Sat. 6/2. The next day one of my nails chipped, which I attempted to file. After 10 days, another nail lost at least half of the polish. I sent pics to the technician (6/13) and she asked me to come that morning (a Wednesday). I let her know I cannot come until the weekend, 6/16 (I do not live in the area and work full time). She told me she would be busy, but someone else could fix. By the time I got there on 6/16 most of my nails were either missing polish or lifting, so I would experience pain every time I tapped them-A HOT MESS. At this point I felt they all needed a redo. Upon my arrival, I explained the situation to the receptionist, and she referred me to someone who was professional and skilled, so much that I trusted him with my manicure, kudos! When completed I was asked to pay the full price. WHAT!?!?!?!?! The receptionist looked at me as though I had two (2) heads, and told me that "they said" I waited too long to return for the repairs, and two (2) weeks was when I would have returned for service anyway. I thought the selling point for SNS is that lasts four (4) weeks, but now it doesn't? BYE, BYE!!! read more

When I say the WORST salon I've ever been too I can't explain it any other way. The manager was the rudest person I've ever encountered in costumer service. She ignored me so hard, that I said mam you don't hear me talking to you. Her response was what do you want. I brought two friends with me and my sister I was so embrassed because I had recommended this salon. My sister hated her color because it took 4 coats of polish an still looked watered down. After asking to change color the lady applies new color on top of old color...my mother had been and wanted French manicure with a color polish the nail technician said, I don't like color won't look good and did not use the color my mom wanted. The only reason they got away with this is because I was not there. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS SALON AGAIN!!!! The worst costumer service. I've told everyone I know in this area to not attend here. Terrible service and shady people.Visited here on August 1st to get a quick gel polish change, first off, my nails chipped the very next day and this was suppose to be gel. Secondly, the person that did my nails (Timmy) charge my credit card twice. When I revisited the store to resolve the overcharge issue he looked me right in my face and lied, saying he didn't even ring me up. I was baffled at the least. I was given the manager number to contact, once I got in touch with the manager, he rudely said call my bank, no apologies or anything, honestly he didn't even seem surprised. Hence my shady people reference in the first sentence. My bank is currently having the fraud department investigate this matter. Needless to say I will NEVER be back and or recommend this place. Not worth the headache or hassle. PLEASE drive by this place, so many other places you can go to but if you choose to go here, pay cash and cash only!!!!! read more
