I explained that I wanted my shorts' pockets altered deeper and wider. I dropped them off several days ago. However, when I received them today, June 20, 2025, they were not completed correctly. The pockets were deeper but not altered to be wider because I still could not fit my cell phone and wallet in them. I spoke with the place's manager, and they do not recall me mentioning that I also wanted my pockets wider. On the ticket, it was written to make them wider and deeper. This was an obvious form of dishonesty and poor workmanship. They did not even try to correct the problem, nor did I receive an apology for their mistake and oversight. As a result, I will not have them work on my wardrobe further. I was very disappointed in the place, which lacks integrity and quality of work. read more

i honestly don't know how i feel about this place. for a basic alteration it was $92 and not to mention when i asked her to do something she stated that it wouldn't look right it would look "ugly" and that i'm not a tailor she is...like first of all im the one paying for it? if i want it a certain way then do it.. i get it might not look right to you but that's how i wanted it and thats what i am paid for..... needless to say im never going back.... read more

My wife and daughter have used this place on several occasions. They have had many things altered including the waist of denim jeans and shorts. They were both very pleased with the results of their alterations. Recently, I ripped the seam out of the seat of my dress pants (thankfully, not the pair I was currently wearing). On my way home from work one day, I stopped in to have them fix it. She took one look at it and asked me if I could wait and they would do it right then. It cost me four dollars and I waited five minutes and walked out the door with my pants. She save me an extra trip. That is what I call excellent customer service. Pro tip: they only take cash or checks. No credit cards. Bottom line-they do a very good job at alterations and have a pretty quick turnaround. On occasion, they may do it while you wait. DO NOT USE FOR SOMETHING VALUABLE!!! So I went to TN's to get my wedding dress altered because it was recommended by a lot of people. I picked it up today and left in tears now having to find someone else to finish my dress by adding the bustle. I tried my dress on and noticed there was a snag on the train, it's extremely wrinkled and there was a burn mark at the top of the dress. When I first picked my dress up from the bridal store I looked it over to make sure it looked perfect. I treated it like it was a delicate flower. My aunt has been storing it gently in her closet making sure nothing is smooshing it causing wrinkles. Needless to say I am completely sick to my stomach. When I expressed my concerns to the owner she denied everytbing. All she was concerned about was making sure I knew she'd been in business for 20 years. Congratulations.. doesn't mean you don't make mistakes. She kept saying they didn't touch the train every time I tried to explain to her that it looks as though it was zipped up in the garment bag. Anything I tried to say to her she would talk over me and just deny anything that was less than perfect. The burn mark looked like it was from stopping the fray from taking in the sides. While I was standing in the back in tears while a few of the ladies try to convince me how they can fix it I see now how these mistakes were made. My dress was tossed around from here to there. They took an iron directly to my white dress after it goes back and forth from all sorts of clothing and the burned spot in the middle of the table where the iron continuously goes. My dress was just stuffed back in the garment bag. I appreciate the workers efforts to try to fix my dress (by this time the owner went back to the front to help other customers) by offering to place a "patch" over the burn mark and trimming the snag, but now I'm terrified to put my dress on for another tailor. When they trimmed the snag my dress wasn't even hung up to where it was dangling evenly. It was draped over their work table. As I was leaving the owner and I started discussing the issues again, still no apology, she still continued to say they didn't do anything wrong. She still tried to claim it wasn't a burn mark on my dress when the lady in the back even admitted to it. She even said that the tried to get it off with water because I was there. Soooo are you telling me that if I wasn't there watching y'all would be doing something different? As I was expressing my concerns she starts laughing at me as if in disbelief. I was just completely dumbfounded at this experience. It may not mean much to her, but to me it's everything. It's my dress for my special day. It wasn't cheap. Now these imperfections are all I will see when I put my dress on. read more

I had several suits I took in to have the jackets altered and the pants let out in the waist. She pinned the jackets and all felt good. I was under the impression they knew what to do. I went to pick them back up and they fit horrible. I was then told they do not alter anything but from the back which I have never heard of from any alterations "experts." As well, they moved one button on each of the jackets which is also another huge mistake and never to be done. It throws the entire jacket off and I now had buttons that didn't line up. They even left the thread in the jacket where the button was removed. The jackets are awful and had to take somewhere else to have fixed. The pants were never let out, I tried to tell them they're not fitting correctly and wasn't as comfortable where they were marked. They wouldn't correct them. I see now why this place is 100% cash only. That should have been a red flag. Be very cautious having any quality suit altered her. In my opinion this is a turn and burn get the garment in and out asap get the $$ and on to the next. Hands down the absolute worst service I have ever received. I have had dry cleaners alter better than I received here. Wasted a lot of money! read more

I went in to alter my pants and I was next in line, the tailor skipped my turn and told me that she would take the person behind first. I stood in the line for 20 mins and she decided to take the white woman behind me. I ended up leaving the place. They are so racist and if you are not a white person, they will mistreat you. They did an amazing job on my bridesmaid dress! I took it in and it was ready in a week. I got it hemmed and it was $27! Amazing work in such short time. Like others said, if you're wanting one on one time I would go else where. But I got what I wanted! When I walked in she was working with other people but she told me to try my dress on and she pinned it in less than 5 minutes which was perfect because I was dropping it off on my way to work. My husband got referred here by Dillard's salesman because we needed quick and good alterations - got there and told the lady he needed his obviously too-tight pants let out. He tried them on for her. She marked them and when he went back to pick them up, she had taken them in rather than let them out! So had to wait while someone let them out! After the final alteration they still were not right but a bit better than when he had taken them in. Still charged us the same rate. I don't recommend this place. read more

Maybe I'm just picky, maybe the dress didn't fit me in the first place, and I'm still happy with my experience but there were a few problems. I spent $50 altering my dress and it seems like it was no better than when I first took it in. I first asked her to close a gap in the dress, and she did that, but when I asked for other things to be done the gap reappeared and she never went back to close it again. I am so glad I used this place to alter my wedding dress! The people here altered the top part of my dress and my bra for the dress, and it was surprisingly cheap!!! It only took a couple days and the work was perfect. My only complaint is that it was packed when I went so I felt kind of rushed, and the room was very warm. Not a good combo when trying on heavy clothing. Also, they do not accept credit cards. However, those are small inconveniences compared to their quality and speed of work versus the ridiculous prices other people charge. This place is amazing! Such a low price for high quality work! You would think it should be way more expensive. I've had three dresses fitted here & they turned out perfect & done within a week! They were complicated too. One had lace & such & one had tool & rhinestones & one had rhinestones & thin material with rhinestones on it & it was my Prom dress. I asked her to also change the desighn since she was already taking so much off the bottom (because I'm so short lol), I asked her to make it shorter in the front but still touching the ground & longer in the back, creating a train. I've also taken my sister to get her Prom dress done here & we came so last minute & we were panicking because we were so busy & didn't have time to go until three days before her Prom & she had intricate details on her dress & rhinestones & shear material & she said she would make it her top priority & she got it done beautifully & on time! I also wanted to get a flowy high-low skirt fitted quickly before I went on vacation & so I asked her if she can do it quickly in an hour because I had to do a four hour road trip & I wanted to get it done while I was at the mall & she said no problem! Excellent customer service, but I suggest going a week in advance & not stress them out even though they have no problem getting last minute jobs done! Really nice people! read more

Awful! The lady came out and told me she could do anything.....a rolled hem and hemming up a beaded dress. The hem was not rolled. They cut the beads into the hem and now I have just lost an entire column of beads. On top of that, they made the hem too long---it was still too long for me!!! Basically, they can't do a darn thing that they say they can! And they ruined a $200 dress! I have only worn the dress once and wanted to at least get two wearings out of it. They also altered a flower girl's dress for my granddaughter and gave me a price of $18.95. When I picked it up they tacked on another $20 and jabbered about how blah blah blah....b.s. I wouldn't go back to this place if they paid me! Ok so my bridesmaids dress was super big I took the dress in for major repair! I was quoted 178 to 100 at other places but I was told to try them out for their reasonable prices. The owner is very friendly and gave me piece of mine! 53.00 dollars she told me! Too good to be true but a week later the dress fit better but not perfect asked me to come back in a few hours and it would be ready! I came back and it was right!! Also just so people know the couple times I was at this location she was busy !!! People picking up and dropping off so she must be good!!! The only pet peeve is that it's very dusty in the store they need to clean and update there window display but then again they should raise their prices! read more

I do not recommend this shop. I brought my daughter's prom dress to them for alterations. At first, the owner said it would be $40.00 to hem her dress. We didn't leave the dress at this time because we didn't have her shoes and it would not be the correct length. When went back a week later with the shoes and the dress, but her sister was there because she was on vacation. When it came time for the receipt and the settled price, the sister said it would be $60.00. I told her that her sister originally said $40.00. She said she would have her sister call me when she returned. I said, okay that's fine, and would discuss it. Someone called me and said $60.00. I said okay and they said it would be ready for pick up the following Monday. We went to pick the dress up on Thursday but it wasn't completed. I said okay, and told them I would not come back or use them nor recommend them. One lady told us while we there, oh it would be 10 minutes and then the rude little owner said you come back in 30 minutes. I said no, I'll be back in 10 minutes. We got back in 30 just because I felt like she was purposely being rude to me and wanted me to be more upset. What do you know, it wasn't ready. We waited. Once it came time settle the money, she ended up charging me $72.00. I wrote my check(because they only accept cash or a check) and I wrote my drivers license number on the check, she then said oh show me your license(like I was a big liar). Then she was hanging the dress on the hanger and I had grabbed the plastic bag to help her with it, she snatched it out of my hand, rudely, and my teenage daughter said, mom you need to write a yelp review for how rudely we were treated. I used to think they were nice and professional, but yesterday and this experience has changed my mind. Just warning everyone, make sure when a price is said, have it in writing, because she likes to change the price and then act unprofessional. read more

I am petitie and thus require a good tailor. I was so glad when a coworker of mine recommended TN's to me. I have had slacks, skirts, and jeans hemmed here, all resulting in the perfect length. When it was time for my rehearsal dinner for my wedding I I found the perfect dress but could only find it 2 sizes larger than what I needed and TN made it fit perfectly in the waist, sewed down the pockets, and took up the straps. Also for my wedding I referred several of my bridesmaids here to have their alterations done on satin which is not a forgiving fabric. Everything was done properly and at a fraction of the price that bridal stores were charging. They get everything done in a timely manner and have fair prices. As someone who has been burned by tailors in the past (with items being hemmed to short, etc), I highly recommend TN's Tailor Shop to anyone in need of their services. read more

I took my wedding dress here ($1,800). It took only 7 minutes to pin up the sides and bottom to take the dress in and shorter the length. I was excited and felt like she just really knew what she was doing. She asked me to come back next Sat at 2, for adding trim and bustle. When I got to appt #2 I put the dress on and it just didn't fit right, but I ignored it and moved on. I started noticing large snags and tears in the lace around the bodice but ignored that too (we would be putting trim over it).. People are filling up the place at this point and she started rushing us through placing the trim. She walked away several times and acted really frustrated. Then I noticed I was stepping on my dress liner.. that's when I noticed she just jaggedly cut all the tulle at the bottom in order to shorten it. she eventually came back to tell us that her placement of the trim was the prettiest way (it was not, it was really high and not on my waist) she even shoo'ed away another customer who was trying to help us. She was just in such a hurry and wasn't listening to what we were wanting. I decided to pay her for what she had already done and take my dress home. I couldn't imagine what it would look like if left it longer. It's kind of ruined. I'm still going to wear it, I have no choice. I spent so much on it already. I'm just going to take it somewhere else. I MIGHT let her do minor alterations on a bridesmaid dress but never will I recommend her for a wedding gown.. she's very unprofessional and obviously did not take care of my dress while she had it.. And be careful of the mirrors in her dressing room, I ended up ripping my dress on the corner of it as I was changing out of it.. The dressing rooms are small, people can see in past the curtain, and it's realllly hot in there. read more

Recently walked in with a couple new suits in need of minor alteration and got a ridiculous quote for fitting. I feel like Pam was adjusting price based off the fact that I am a young person and was consolidating errands and still in my work uniform. One of the suits she quoted 135 dollars for taking in the sides and adjusting sleeves, needless to say I opted to drive down the road where both suit jackets and pants cost under 40$. Picked up my wedding dress from TN's today. I am very pleased with the results! I was very nervous about where I was going to take it but a friend recommended this place to me and said they did a wonderful job on her daughter's wedding dress. I have an all lace dress with intricate and delicate beading that needed to be taken in on the sides and needed a bustle. She did a wonderful job! It looks PERFECT! I bought a 3 layered bridesmaids dress from Alfred Angelo that required alterations. The store tailor through AA was going to take 4+ weeks and over $100 to alter the dress so by recommendation, I brought my dress to T N's. I was very worried about leaving the dress as it was a expensive and seemed very delicate. When I got my dress back less than a week later and tried it on, it fit perfectly! For under $75, I got the dress shortened, the waist taken out an inch and my strap shortened. The dress looked fantastic and I was comfortable all night.
