Other places I have gone to they always tend to take more in than they measured for this did not happen here everything came out perfectly. DO NOT GO HERE! The owner of this place was quite rude when I asked him for a very specific alteration on my jeans. I wanted a V cut out on the posterior side of my jeans on the waist, since they were high waisted and this releases some tension on the lumbar curvature. I did not needed them bigger, just what I had requested. The owner tried to embarrass me by insinuating I needed bigger jeans after asking me why I wanted the "V" on the jeans. Then he quoted me $20.00 for EACH "V" on the three out of four Jeans I took in, on top of the hemming and pocket removal on some. Keep in mind three out of four of my jeans were all brand new with tags, all over $120.00 each. I agreed to the amount which was about $125.00 all together, but I requested a different lady to do my alterations, who had previously taken care of me and was pretty nice; not to mention, her prices were reasonable (prices are never the same and it seems like everyone charges what they feel like charging; perhaps they're self employed). As soon as I agreed to the quote and left, I got a call and I was told that they had left out one of the pants on that quote and that it would be an additional $40.00 ... At this point, I just agreed because I just wanted them done. When I called a week later to get the final price, I was told it was $200.00+ !!!!! How the fk?!!!! I waited a little over a month before coming in to pick up the clothes because I had been out of town and also, being frank; because I was disappointed with them taking advantage of me and making up prices as they pleased; but guess what? When I finally walked in to get a break down of the bill and pick up my alterations, they were no longer there! The owner had apparently sold them!!! So... there you go. Lesson learnt. Took this dress in completely clean to get the sides fitted and I made sure it was clean before handing it over. Got it back and paid before hand an unnecessary amount because I used to trust this place with altering. Took a bridesmaid dress for alterations. Initially when I put it on the lady rudely asked "what's wrong with it?" It was clearly nearly a size too big. After pinning up the sides I asked if the breast area would be smooth twice and was reassured it would be. I picked up the dress and tried it on at home. I noticed the dress sat a bit crooked and was bunched/wrinkled on the left. Also the bust area was lumpy and not smooth and fitted. Took it back today to ask to be fixed and was told the dress already was wrinkled on left and would be a lot of work and expensive to fix it and there was nothing to do regarding the bust area. I give 2 stars instead of 1 only because the hemming on the length was good. I went here as a referral from my bride because they did excellent on her dress. But it must be a hit or miss. read more

I am sure they do fine for hemming skirts, etc. but they are not a proper tailor for men's clothing. I made the mistake of using this place twice. The first time was just basic pants alterations. The waist had a pucker from one of the alterations. I thought this was a one-off. More recently, I brought some additional alterations including suit jackets. They did a terrible job on the suit jackets - left "puffs" at the rear arm holes from not wanting to take the time and do the proper arm adjustment to the jacket. I am now going to have to pay to have my jackets reworked at a proper men's tailor. There is a reason they take their money in advance here.... read more

Needing to get some new work uniforms sized for a better fit, I took them to Best Tailor. The people inside were very friendly and helpful to my needs. I had a total of four uniforms, and the nice man working inside had me try one on on one of their fitting rooms. He was very quick at adjusting the lower hem on the legs and also taking up a lot of the slack in the legs from the cuff up to the crotch area. Once he had the cuff where I wanted it he pinned it with a safety pin. Same thing with the baggy legs, he pulled them in to a point where I was comfortable in them. I washed them all a couple of times to make sure they had shrunk up a little before I took them up there. They called me when they were done, right at a week as they are very busy with other customers. I tried one out at work only to find they were still just a little too long and a little baggy in the legs. I hated to do it, but I took them back and they re-adjusted both the cuff length and the inseams on my uniforms. When I got them back this time they were right where they needed to be, as I was walking on the cuffs before taking them back. I am very pleased with the outcome. They are very nice people to work with and they stand behind their work. I highly recommend them for all of your tailoring needs!! I went to Best Tailor & Alterations because the reviews and the fact a "tailor" should know what they are doing. I had thirteen pair of dress slacks that I needed adjusted, the hems came back loose in the butt to where I could see between the two pieces of fabric and the stitching showed from the out side of the garments on every leg hem. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Tony the manager did offer to redo them,but every garment has to be redone so I chose to take them elsewhere. A waste of $277 with this place. read more
