This TA includes a Popeye's and a Subway, but I was here for coffee and clean the windshield from all the bugs that tried to take me out. If I could give this place 2.5 stars I would. The guy who knocked on the door asking for money didn't help with the rating. This TA is located off the I-20 in Big Spring, Texas. The inside was fairly clean and didn't smell like a nasty trucker who hadn't showered in a week. Yes, most truckers shower daily but you have the random few who act like they're going for a world record with the number of days between showering. I digress... on the inside you'll find a Subway and Popeyes. The parking area is pretty dirty with trash littered about. Hey, it could be worse and it could DEFINITELY be better. Very sorry I even have to give a lone star just seems wrong in The Great State of Texas . Without a doubt the most Filthy Decussating restrooms I have ever experienced anywhere I have ever been and I have been all over the world . Dried Shit all over the floors and toilets had clearly not been checked for a long time. This was the ladies restrooms my wife reported this to me could not believe it could be so bad so I looked inside after she said it was clear. Also this is right next to the food restaurant in the travel center.Should be closed down by the Health Department!! read more

This place is 'hit or miss'. I mostly go here for the salad bar because I can't find a better one in Big Spring. The lettuce is rough and mean (except I have noticed they put a better quality lettuce out in Sunday's), but the other fixings seem to be okay for the most part. I'm a soup lover, and they make a good Mexican bean soup that's good, the cheeseburger soup is good as well. I hear they make dumplings, but have not seen any. It's truly hit or miss...they tend to neglect keeping the food supplied and fresh. But when they do, it's pretty satisfying! Unfortunately, this place has a hard time keeping help. Waitresses can often leave customers waiting and standing around. Cooks seem to come and go and look a little unkept at times. The buffet should be maintained at all times! Should be kept clean and fresh. This place needs a couple good, well-paid cooks, and some good waitresses who keep the customers coming. Also need to invest in some ropes or cords to close off sections instead of trying to create blockades using chairs. read more

1:45pm ordered dr. pepper - they are out. waitress comes to the table when I ask what is good she says "lots" then proceeds to tell me she is nauseous. Really?! ordered roast beef plate.... wait awhile....am told there are no vegetables with the roast beef, but I can get veggies from the salad bar.....not the same people not the same. Waitress is sloppily dressed and when she walks it sounds like her tennis shoes weigh 40 pounds. Just heard the cook say this order came in at 1:45 "why the fu** don't they have their food". read more
