I love this place. Like the other reviewers stated, it is small but efficient and carries all…read morethings Japanese that you can think of. The sushi/sashimi and meat items are very fresh. I am so glad that I got reacquainted with this shop under a new owner. It is not like the old owner was not nice but, there are always thought of what the new owner could do. They do not disappoint. Come take a look for yourself. The price is right for the quality of products that they sell. For people who know quality, they know what I am talking about the minute you look at the product. (Hmmm, I am beginning to sound like I am related to the owner after reading my own review. Lol. I am not.) Anyway, happy shopping and enjoy!

Which is these people who just eat Korean/Japanese food. And one of the episodes was they went to their local deli and bought all these snacks/foods. I was really excited when we came in and saw the variety of sushi items, sandwiches, sodas and everything in between. I stocked up to bring home with me. Everything that I bought was yummy! Can't wait to visit Japan and Korea to immerse myself in their culture and food. Would highly recommend this store.

Typical aisle - the entire place is about 6-7 aisles. Not that big.

My son, who I was buying for, is very much into Japanese culture and is more familiar with the food items for sale there! I was directed in a positive direction and found some great items to purchase for my son! Thank you ladies for all of your help and thanks for what you do for the community! Cheers!

I originally wanted to grab some Bye Bye Baby items for a co-worker's shower- but they've since shut down. Lo and behold, Rice Factory- located at a strip mall on Central Ave In Scarsdale, was staring at me. I'm not here to tell you what type of rice milling equipment they use- because one: I don't know and two: I won't pretend I know because this is all new to me. What I do well is- is how to cook commercial rice I get from my local supermarket. With a natural, light color wood and modern design in mind, it's also serene as Japanese instrumental music played in the background. All these details made me feel relaxed. Rice F. makes it super easy for you to select the type of rice and how much you want it milled. The entire process was an eye-opener. I chose the 100% white rice- and I get it- at this point of the milling process, most (or all) of the nutrients are stripped. If you're not coming here for the milled rice (I mean...why wouldn't you?), Rice F. also stocks tableware supplies, small ceramic serving ware and a complete range of these delicious rice crackers which I got my hands on to try, a can of Japanese sardines and of course, a 2lb bag of milled white rice. Service was incredibly pleasant and patient as one of the ladies took the time to explain how to cook Japanese rice. For all your rice needs- and a little beyond, Rice F. is your spot.
