Vegas resident here, not a trucker. Jesse is a great bartender and all around does a great job of making sure ppl who go to the casino are taken care of. Workers at the sportsbook are also happy to help and in good moods. Have 2 blackjack tables and have great drinks for super cheap and are great at comping when you are playing. read more

The pay & go shower is amazing. It's a great deal for what you get- towels, soap, a hair dryer, etc. After a 5 day hiking trip it was exactly what we needed. Never thought I would be reviewing a truck stop, but it is well deserved. It was a bit weird, you walk in and pay at the counter, they open up the room in the back, which you have to walk through this casino to get to. Not too sketchy though. Service is horrible. They will start to help you and just walk away. The older white woman (forgot her name) is the one person who's genuinely a good help. Truck parking has no reserved markings. Don't be fooled if it's your first time here. Every spot is a reserved spot. I am a hiker and actually came to the wrong TA on Dean Martin. I was refused a shower service because I didn't have a CDL. There is nothing on the corporate site that states you have to have your CDL to take a shower. There was no signage saying you have to have your CDL to shower either. Located on Blue Diamond Road, just across the street from the Silverton Casino, the TA Travel Center is pretty easy to spot. The only real reason I find myself here is to make some sports bets on the run at the William Hill Sportsbook inside the Alamo Casino that is on site. (+) Gas prices are competetive (+) Mini Mart is connected to casino and also several fast food options(albeit at inflated prices) (+) quick and ready access to I-15; you are right there! (+) plenty of drink and snack options (-) my biggest complaint about this place is the surly and indifferent "service" of the cashiers. they will take their sweet precious time getting to you, and if you don't like it then...well, you get the picture. I held off on doing a review until visiting this place at least a handful of times to be fair and objective. It wasn't just someone having a bad day. Bottom line: Service here sucks. Honestly, I will keep coming to the Alamo Casino to get my sports bets in, but I will go out of my way to get gas and any snacks or drinks at another location. The lazy security guard rolling around in his golf cart decided to attack me verbally. I was parked in the back waiting for fuel money to hit my fuel card when Rambo had a few choice word to say to me because he was too lazy to get out of his golf cart and look at my DOT numbers behind my front steer tire. As of May 9th, 2022. I have visited most of the TA Travel Centers throughout the country. But this one at 8050 Dean Martin Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89139 - has the worst public shower set-up. First of all .....most of the showers at this location lack water pressure - the end result is "Poor Shower Water Pressure" (Drizzling Water so-to-speak). This is one of the worst truck stops I have ever had the displeasure of staying at. Waited 42 minutes for food because there was only one person working at tacotime. Showers were unavailable because management couldn't be bothered to schedule someone to clean them. The parking lot was trashed and dirty used needles litter the grounds where animals are walked. Management should be ashamed, especially when more than half the parking lot is paid parking. This place needs new management that gives a care and hire some more help. Travel Center of America (TA) is not called Travel Truckers of America. This is a Travel Stop for people who are commuting through the area. In this store, there is a sign above the fuel desk that says Customer Services. The first service listed is Showers for $14. This is a service that is offered for customers, however this location wants to limit the shower service to only those who possess a CDL License. It doesn't say Showers for CDL Holders or Truckers only. I was told the reason that the showers were limited to CDL licensee's was because the showers were being remodeled which limited the number of showers available. These showers however have been remodeled. I was able to take showers twice in one week before getting the excuse again that they were only available for CDL holders. With this being in a location that sits between travelers going to California or Utah on the I-15, not everyone wanting to take a shower will have a CDL. Since most truckers get free showers with fuel purchases, the listing of showers for $14 under Customer Services offered is misleading to the public! Not all of their staff members ask a person has a CDL license so they are not even on the same page and have been poorly trained by management! Curious to see how much money is the TA losing because of the refusal to offer showers to paying customers, even going to the extent to send these people to their competitors? If you are traveling on I-15 either going towards Utah or California, I would encourage you to avoid stopping at the TA because they obviously don't value their customers or your business! This review only covers Burger King inside the Plaza. The food is over priced, it is significantly higher than all other Burger King Restaurants in town. Food was not the best, the lettuce in my burger was old, no crunch, the place is dirty, staff is not the friendliest. SAVE YOUR MONEY. This place has a burger king and taco restaurant inside, it also has a fitness room, black jack tables, casino game room and a lounge u can hang out relax in. All around it was fun, spent some money on the slots but im not complaining. If you need a place to relax for a bit , grab a quick bite or even workout. This place is a joke and total waste of time.... I set my truck here to get a radiator flush, they didn't have my specific coolant so I stopped at the dealership to purchase the gallons that I would need I was told at the dealer that my truck used 7 gallons of coolant. After the service was done at TA I looked in the back of my truck and I noticed the coolant bottles still in the boxes, I thought that they were empty bottles that I was supposed to dispose of. I pulled over before I left the TA, and inspected the boxes and the coolant bottles, and lo and behold only one and a half gallons of the seven were used... So the question is what coolant did they replace my system with? I immediately spoke to the manager, who said he had no idea but was told by his Tech that he used 4 gallons, but the proof is in the pudding we have the full bottles and the empty bottles and 4 gallons were not used. Even if he did use for the truck take 7.... It's simple math if I was you I would stay away from this place... we are on the way to the dealership to have it flushed properly but can you imagine if we didn't have the bottles to question, where would we be.... so to all you customers that are going to allow these guys to replace any fluids just be advised they might not be putting what you think they're putting in there... If they change your oil I would check it to see if it's clear I would ask them to show me my old fuel filter.... This is one of the main reasons why they don't let you go into the service area because they're doing Monkey Business back there... They think they got over on me, but I'm already disputing the facts with the credit card company. We paid for a full coolant flush not a partial one...
