Stopped in for some gas and d a snack when I realized they have a bar inside. We'll what do ya know, i ended up staying and had a few drinks, played some pool, won 400 on the VIDEO POKER inside. Absolutely horrible organization. They only allow cars to pull through pump area in one direction which quickly makes you realize that more cars have gas nozzle on left. The restrooms are nasty the employees don't clean the restrooms all they do is mop the floors and that's it who would want to go to a place where the restrooms are nasty I have been a janitor for years and I clean better than these employees why are they getting paid for not doing there jobs when I first came to this truck stop I couldn't believe how nasty the restrooms are and there is a lot of trash in the parking lots even the garbage cans are full of trash the employees don't even empty the trash cans outside Loves is a lot better than the TA I would recommend going to Loves and not the TA read more

This place is on a list on the internet of places where boon docking is welcomed. Not true. I stopped here right after Loves looking for a place to put up my roof top tent. I went in first to see if someone could tell me if it's allowed or frowned upon. an employee in the store said it's not excepted and security would kick me out if they seen me. read more

Just keeps getting worse, now they are implementing paid parking via electronic gate, bobtails get kicked out and forced into the homeless encampment aka bobtail parking. Inside is as disgusting as usual. The whole area sucks for trucks, but you can find small spots here and there in the area. I've been visiting the TA Troutdale, Oregon for several years. Through the Pandemic, power outages, and water pipe breakages. Cooks and servers have come and gone (Larry was one of the best cooks). Julie is the standard for servers. They now (2025) have a great team and I go there two or three times a week. Better than Elmer's, and Shari's when it was operational. I dont often review gas stations, but this one was so nice. Last time I was in, cold, frigid, and sadness was all over the skies, I forgot my coffee from home and sure as can be I went in for what looked to be a 2 buck gas station coffee.. sorrow filled my heart! TA travel plaza has went down hill . Not clean anywhere . Trash overflowing everywhere. Hall way to laundry smells unhuman. You can see where workers drag bags of garbage while liquid and garbage drain out on to ground. Doorways and handles covered in smear and never even wiped. The worst part is Palpable rude customer service. One lady is just being a smart ass and the younger girl won't talk at all. Not one word Not can I help you. Not. A place to stop. read more

Tried to stop here to get gas. The lines were long and were one way only which isn't a problem if they would have had hoses that are long enough to go on both sides of the vehicle. Which these hoses are not. Found out the hard way and planned to turn around to go the reverse and then saw the pumps were one way only with a sign and now a guy was out saying you can't go this direction. They should either get longer hoses or have better signage. Since it's a one way and the only choice was to exit, ended up getting gas at the Loves a few driveways down. My shop is near this TA and needed a shower. I usually stop at either Pilots or Flying J's cause most of their showers are update, but there's not one near here. I looked to see if anyone has posted the showers here and not a one. I rolled the dice cause I was feeling a little too greasy to wait another day and I wasn't disappointed. They haven't been updated in a little while, but they were clean. The soap dispenser in the shower wasn't working, but they did include two small hotel style soap bars if you don't have your own. read more

parking is almost nonexistent during the day, plenty of open spots but most of them are reserved parking. I won't even go in there for fuel anymore, can't get in and out due to high traffic volume with other drivers fueling then pulling u turns in front of the pumps to leave. I won't bother spending another dollar in there if I have to pay to park after purchasing a couple hundred dollars of fuel..definitely a rip off ! read more

I stopped here around 12:30pm Saturday June 27th. This is a one way station and I pulled in the wrong way by mistake. There were two attendants - and older one and a younger one (short/bald hair). The younger approached my car out of the gate shouting "NO! NO! NO!" at me. I understand I made a mistake, but his approach to correcting it was rude and uncalled for. I complied with no issue and got in line - then tried to confront him about it later and he was dismissive and unapologetic. I suspect this happens frequently, which would be frustrating to deal with as an attendant. The only indicator that the station is one-way is on the far side where there is a do-not-enter sign I believe, though I missed that. It would help is there was signage/arrows indicating that the station is one way ON THE SIDE MOST PEOPLE ENTER FROM. I don't think it would be difficult, and it would help the situation. I also get that this is "a one way road" and "it should be obvious", but it clearly is not and I think those statements are highly debatable as the gas station currently looks like a parking lot and not a part of the road (here's where lane striping might help). read more

First and foremost it's a truck stop and no one cares because only or should I say mostly trucker's go their, today I go to get fuel and the pump I was on would not give me DEF so I had to do add on and as a trucker you know what I'm talking about well when I went inside to get the Add on the lady said I didn't do it right , so I said I tried to get DEF at the pump . I was on number 6 she said 6 doesn't have DEF only one threw five have it now this is the kicker 2 & 1 is broken so Def is only on 3,4,&5 also theirs no sign posted saying Def is only on those first 5 pump so I go inside and had to pay for the Def out of pocket yes I will get reimbursed for it and it takes to long for me to call the company and get approved just for Def read more

This review makes me sad. I had hopes for this place. My husband and I are traveling around the US when our rv came into wheel troubles. We stayed their as paying customers until.... A rude employee knocked on our door and said,"You've been staying here and ya know, this ain't the KOA!" He made it clear that our money was NOT welcomed there. Also, a large majority of the truckers open their door and just pee on the parking lot. Smells like piss and beer! Recommend telling the employees to ask questions and be polite. read more

trucker stay away from this location if you need service. make sure you ask for an estimate before they work on anything. they charged my driver $95 to put aglad hand. and they are rude especially that lady at the shop. they have inexperienced guys that take longer time to fix things then they charge you for the time.how on earth replacing a glad hand requires an hour labor charge? This review is for the gasoline station portion of Travel Centers. The Kid and I were finishing up the Mt. Hood Scenic Loop and I was thankful that his Mom had lent me the car. I had never driven a Hybrid before and it took a little while to get used to stepping on the brake before starting the car or turning it off. It you don't do that to disengage the engine, things get a little confusing. In any event, the least I could do was put some petrol in this fuel efficient tank. Also confusing is the Oregon law against pumping your own gas. I also hear that it's a $1000 fine if you do. It all reminds me of living in Pennsylvania and being forced to buy liquor from the State stores. Both are ridiculous regardless of all the pious statements about safety and the public good. At least out East, I could drive over the border into New Jersey and do my adult beverage business. New Jersey also happens to be the other state that doesn't allow you to pump your own gas. Based on my experience working at my Father's Service Station, the biggest danger are folks who inadvertently drive into the pumps. As for the other aspects of "Mini Service" (pumping the gas and running the credit card), the friendly guy at Travel Centers did well. Now if they would only add to the Oregon law and require that they wash your windows? read more

We drove to Walmart to buy one thing, but it was getting late & we haven't had lunch, so we drove even farther to find a restaurant we've never been to before. The big Rib Eye advertisement on 1-84 grabbed my hubby's appetite, but he's spoiled so off we followed our nose to Travel Centers of America, I THOUGHT would be a restaurant specialties in beef and seafood etc. But we didn't know it's a truck stop! We saw many people parked, and here I am with out any makeup on, and I was miffed that I'd be caught by the Fashion Police, and I felt naked all of a sudden, that all those truckers will see me . . . arggggh! We walked inside, and there weren't that many people after all, so they must be in other parts of the room, putting money in the slot machine, or who knows what! I began to relaxed a little bit. We were seated down anywhere we want, and were given a menu - like reading a newspaper food section advertisement, full of details & photos. I looked through the menu 3-4x and couldn't decide which of them is the healthiest of the bunch. But hubby already had his mind made up for the 13oz. Rib Eye steak. I settled for the Hamburger Wrap, but no pickles and they have a special sauce. I shared the salad with the hubby. I liked it! I love their French fries, it was meaty inside and crispy on the outside, I could tell it was Ore-Ida potatoes! Hubby said, it was a good price for a steak! This is my favorite TA travel center because people here are friendly in the store and helpful. When I get gas outside, they are always fast and efficient and ask if there is anything else they can do for me. I really enjoyed the restaurant because of the staff, the waitresses are always so friendly and smiling and they greet me by name since I have been here more than once. The showers are the best ever from any TA station I have been to - they are marble and tile and the water pressure is strong and hot and finally, the towels are warm and fresh. Security is efficient and the parking lot is lit well so it is safe if you need to stay over night. It always feels like coming home! ;-) read more

The parking situation is awful. We tried to park after getting gas to use the restroom and buy refreshments, and the fuel attendant was rude and abusive. He told me I needed to leave the property while my partner was inside buying drinks. He claimed I was taking up two spots. He called the cops on me and wouldn't give me a chance to fix my parking job. I literally was forced to leave my beloved in the store so I could do a lap around the freeway because they didn't want me on their property. Do not visit this site if you can help it. They have lost a customer. I will not tolerate this sort of abuse! They did not have any reason to treat me this way. read more

One star for the gas pump which reported to fill my car two gallons over it's actual capacity when i came in with half a tank already. I've never experienced such a weird miscalculation before. Very strange. I don't like that Oregon still uses attendants to fill our cars when we can easily and more safely do it ourselves. 5 stars for the manager Pattie who fixed the issue. I stopped here to fuel up before hitting the road with my family to Spokane. It was the 5th of July and the pumps were loaded to the brim with trucks pulling travel trailers. My sister pointed out I could pull up to a free pump if I just backed in- so I did. The attendant came to my window and told me he would not fill my tank because signs posted said 'one way'. I said, well I didn't see them because I came in from the same direction as everyone else, and sorry, I will remember that for next time. He said that's fine, but I'm still not filling you up. I asked him to get his manager and he again refused telling me to ' she is inside- get her yourself'. The manager walked out with me and this attendant got proceeded to yell in my face that I was a BITCH in front of my family and kids! This was insane ! The manager told me I could get a ticket for going in the wrong way and I explained to her 1- I didn't go in the wrong way 2- I'm not going to get a ticket on private property 3- your customer service here is awful. I left, shaking from the confrontation, and went next door to Loves and filled up for 5 cents/gallon less by a friendly attendant. read more

Yup... It's a truck stop. No matter where I am in the country, if I see the big TA sign, I know I'm ok. They are all pretty clean and they usually have food. This TA is like the Super Walmart of truck stops. There's a sit down restaurant called Buckhorn, Subway and Popeyes. They also have very clean restrooms, claw game machines, game room, laundry room, convenience store, and of course, gas. This is the perfect pit stop before a hike in the gorge! read more

Ok, my family was traveling to White Salmon and we needed to make a pit stop. No gas, no food, just a pit stop. You can tell a lot about a place by it's restrooms. This is a truck stop. I was expecting the worse and was thoroughly impressed. The restrooms were clean! Not stinky, but very well maintained and clean. If this is what the restroom looks like the kitchen must be even better. Next time we will stop to grab a meal as well. read more

Shower #10 has got to be the BEST shower we have EVER had on the road! OMG!! We also love parking here because of the Shari's next door. This is definitely our go-to TA when we are in town. That said, however, the Porter who cleans the showers is super nice. Restaurant wait staff? Not so much. We were in the corner for the day. Bought and ate and paid and tipped server well for the table. She was fine. Next shift, however, not so much. Never came over to ask if we needed anything, never offered to refill drinks and was rather annoyed we were there. I eventually got some fruit from the salad bar and she got all pissy and manager came over. If server would like to charge me for it, I will most gleefully pay. And tip. Especially if she offers to refill my glass. The restaurant is not even half full. If there was somewhere else in the building where we can set up our computers and work on our taxes, we would gladly sit there instead. read more

Smokers, eight of them, were smoking their cancer sticks under an overhang by the entrance, didn't care they were forcing cancer survivors to breathe in their noxious fumes. The duty manager did not care too much, making excuses for them. The people smoking were also ridiculing my wife who complained to them. We were in our 2013 cascadia freightliner truck that just had a new engine put in that day at mcoys freightliner in Portland. we have had VERY bad experiences with them and were hoping they had installed everything correctly. well 2 miles east of your Truck stop we broke down. We called you and you're freightliner boys came out to try to fix us roadside ... after trying for quite some time we had to be towed into you're shop for hose repair that McCoy had installed incorrectly (they used an old hose that was cracked).... you're guys were great!! They worked on putting in the new hose correctly and efficiently and really took pride in their work. what a great experience!! thanks for great customer service and restoring our faith in freightliner mechanics once again. read more

Ah.. this takes me back to my truck drving days. I remember going into the TA centers and being able to find anything I needed when I was on the road. You can find some pretty interesting things in a truck stop. We only stopped for gas but had I had the time I would stopped in definitely. To eat or otherwise. Zero stars I have been on the road for 8 hour stopped in to get a bite to eat and fuel up my RV i was so tired so my wife and i went to park and sleep there was a man with flashlight harassing others for parking and trying to rest sure enough here he comes i had been there 5 minutes i had just spent $180 there he told me to leave i explain to him i was on long road trip and needed rest he insist at that moment or he would call the police i asked whats your name he rudely answer i am the manager again i asked his name he replied my names travis i replied theat i am vey tired and need rest and if i am in a accident it will be cause of you. he repleid it's a policy there and that i must leave my wife and i were so upset we left and will never stop at a travel America again read more

The country pride I believe is the diners name here is one of the best truck stop diners it has been my pleasure to eat at. For one the staff are extremely friendly and super nice. Heh take the time to learn your name and strike up some friendly banter when the chance permits. The food is absolutely amazing I had the fried chicken dinner the first night I came here. That was a massive loaded plate cam with a gigantic platter of fried chicken it can with a large breast a thigh a drumstick and a wing. The food was cooked perfectly the chicken had a delicious crunchy breading and was well seasoned to my taste not salty like most fast food joints. It also came with choice of side which they had a very decent selections from mashed potatoes and gravy to French fries and seasonal veg. Needless to say after a long day of truck driving and our truck being in the shop for repairs which was also an extremely pleasant experience fast and friendly as well I decided to binge on fried food. I got their crinkle cut seasoned French fried and the whole entree came with their salad and soup bar as well. The salad was fresh not freezer burned and had many delicious fresh cut additions. The soups were fantastic as well I had their white bean and sausage which was delicious. They had a fair selection of dressings as well and the whole time I was there they were constantly checking in on me and making sure I was happy which I definitely was. The wait time from ordering to eating was extremely satisfactory I only waited maybe 6-8 minutes after ordering and of course the salad and soup bar was what I went to first. By the time I finished the entree came out in a few minutes after which was perfect. The portion sizes were epic to say the very least good for saying the hungriest of appetites and the bill was extremely cheap for the quality. Great for under 20$ and of course I tip well. Would extremely recommend to any people looking to sit down enjoy a meal and relax in a casual diner setting that also has bey well maintained clean facilities TL:DR -Super friendly warming environment -Fast serve time little down time -Great tasting perfectly prepared food -Good choice of options -Extremely affordable under 20$ -Clean relaxed environment -Would highly recommend to anyone read more

Worst service experience I have had a a Travel Centers of America. Seems like the average waiting time to get work done at TA and Petro these days is on the rise. You can almost never get in without a 6+ hour wait from anything to repairs or preventive maintenance. But this location was especially bad. I was told 4 hours for a flat tire then 6 hours then 9 hours ...... it took almost 12 hours until they finished the job. They only had 2 mechanics on duty the entire day on a Wednesday middle of the week. While one mechanic was doing road service most of the day. One truck was getting everything you can imagine done to it from oil to radiator etc you name it from 11am to 9pm taking up the one bay that was doing service. This should be unacceptable for one of the leading service centers on the road. And also If they are short handed hire some help instead of keeping drivers waiting for the entire day or at least be considerate and let them know an eta that's reasonable. I would have just gone to loves next door if I would have known it would be a 12 hour wait. read more

I meant to give them no stars. Hwy closed due to ice storm. Reserved spot markings for trucks covered in ice and snow. After being there 4hrs and spending over $40 in the restaurant and over $60 in the bar/game room , mngmnt came and said we had to leave. Spots sold and no parking available. I was in our truck, not the bar. They called local police and had 20 or so trucks go out onto ice covered closed roads or risk being arrested for trespassing . They do not care about their patrons or the general publics safety. The spots are $8 ea. So they risked everybody's lives over $160. I am an Owner Operator truck driver that spends thousands of dollars a year at their TA and Petro truck stops. Myself, the 19 other trucks that had to leave and several others will now be boycotting TA. Shame on you. Even if you don't think your effected by their actions, if one of those trucks wrecks on ice and kills a family after being safely parked and imagine it was your family! read more
