I normally love this place, but an interaction with one of the employees tonight has REALLY soured me on this location. Truck stops have sinks in their lobby. Most are ok with truckers washing their dishes in them. I was actually told by a manager at another Loves that THAT'S why they're out here and not in a back room or behind a counter like at most places. So, I went to wash some dishes. I didn't notice a small sign saying not to do them here. Dude came up and YELLED at me about it. If he was polite, it would have been a non issue. I have a 7 and a half gallon thing of water and a camp sink on my truck. I just try to conserve water when I can. I'd imagine that they probably have had issues with people clogging the sinks, but I scrub my dishes with chlorox wipes on my truck before going inside to clean the chemicals off so I'm not ingesting bleach. My work even reimburses me for the wipes, lol. I've been semi regular here for a bit... But the TA next door has a driver's lounge, a bigger parking lot and friendly staff. Just saying.... read more

first the signs you see from the highway have many different prices. we pulled in with the Loves app which is supposed to give 25 cents off a gallon. I asked what my price would be. the person at the register said 4.65. it turned out be 5.05. when I went back in the manager said the lower rate doesn't apply at the commercial lanes and the prices advertised are different prices for truckers but don't apply for personal vehicles. we will not be going to any more Loves stations read more

Love's is the perfect stop 1 1/2 hours into our trips to Oregon beaches. It's always clean, well kept and well arranged, so we appreciate that. Shamefully, I must admit the fact that Cinnabon resides just inside the front door is the main reason we PLAN a stop there. I don't get all the poor reviews. Stopped in for gas and the price was one of the lowest in the area. I went inside and witnessed the cleanest/nicest bathrooms I've ever seen in a truck stop. And I got an inexpensive coffee from a machine that grinds your beans, so it was very fresh. I'd definitely stop here again. read more

When the Chevron next door was closed because pumps weren't working, I went to Love's right next door because I needed to fill up my tank. Their price was 5 cents less per gallon for regular, which was a nice surprise especially with regular being $4.59 and upwards. While other reviewers complain about the service, I had zero issues. This place DOES NOT allow boon docking. I was met with a knock on my jeep. I followed it up inside the store. Explaining my situation to an employee he said "no". Even though the parking lot is not marked one hour only parking, that's what he said. Even though 3 sprinter vans around me were stealth camping, he said no. I have been using the showers at the three truck stops in the Portland area. By far the best and cleanest showers are at Love's Troutdale location. The staff is friendly and attentive every time I visit. I highly recommend! Also, by using my Love's reward I am only paying 3.69/gallon for my gas. When I had went in the other day to get some chicken at Chester's I was served by a young male named Chase and I was highly disappointed with my experience with him. He was not wearing gloves and his pants were half way off his butt. You could full on see his dirty butt crack. Love's Travel Stops have turned into our preferred gasoline stations when we travel lately. This Love's is not as good as all the other locations that we have frequented. Convenience store is smaller than normal. Store was not as clean as we are used to seeing from this chain. That being said, I would still stop there. Gas prices were fairly priced. I tried pulling up to a pump, and the jackhole attendant started scowling, flailing his arms and motioning to go to another pump. I was in a crowded gas station when I was trying to use one of the only open pumps! I don't know what his problem was, I wasn't going to stay kind had I spoken to him about it, so we just went to another station nearby that wasn't apparently shooing customers away. I can't wait until Oregon gets rid of gas attendants. We no longer need these manufactured minimum wage paying jobs with our advancements in personal revenue generating options! I had a really bad experience.as a DD delivery driver. I stopped for gas. And then turned on my door dash app. A delivery came in immediately for the Taco Bell right next door, one parking lot over. About a two min walk. So I parked my car at loves under a shade tree and started to run with my DD Delivery bag. And a loves employee stopped me and inquired about where I parked. I'll only be a min I have a delivery for Taco Bell. The frontage road is one way. So it's a half mile to drive versus walking and leaving my car at loves for two mins. He said No. you will be towed... and made me leave their lot to drive a half mile around... Fvquer!! Way to support the first responder delivery guys! i am beyond dissapointed with this company. during the black ice storm we had my car was parked on the street of my apartment complex and to my lovely surprise I found a note on my car that had a phone number and this company's name and the whole front of my car damaged. not sure why someone thought they could drive on black ice on a down hill but their excuse was that they had gone to pick someone up. my apartment had a cámara footage of the situation. I had gone back and forth with them because they didn't have insurance and told me they would take care of all the damage to the vehicle so i figured everything would be fine. they took care of the cosmetic damage but didn't bother to fix the car to get it back to how it was driving prior to the accident. they refused to fix the internal damage to the car that was caused by the accident because again my car was in perfect condition before the accident . they stopped responding and I really don't reccommend this business it's not professional and their drivers/work vehicles are not insured ! read more

I needed a shower it was about 10:00 pm at night and I had showered there before but the staff has always been very rude to me pounding on door where I was showering telling me to get out! Get out! People are waiting to take a shower even though I had paid and I had a hour it didn't seem to matter 3/4 through the time no asking nicely no inquiries just a rude nasty sounding employee treating me very badly. This time the girl looked me up and down like I was either a threat to her flirting with truck drivers or pond scum not sure which she informs me showers are for only truck drivers and if I didn't have a license for that I couldn't take a shower she announced it loudly so all could hear and I left. I got a hold of their head quarters the next day after I called the truck stop and found out it's open to public 7 days a week 24 hours, I file a complaint with head quarters they responded with a message thanking me and saying they are looking into the issue. These people that work there snear and most have horrible attitudes towards anyone they judge for being homeless or whatever runs through their little heads. I've owned my own house for over 18 years gone on many exotic vacations and had many things in life. They don't know me or what I've gone through they are awful to many people they judge and they are the rudest bunch of people I've ever encountered. This place is good except for a couple of workers. We was waiting to go to the hospital and was parked in the back for 3 nights. We got kicked out and so did the guy next to us. We are both paying customers, over $30 a day just me and my kid. But they let the homeless stay without a problem. One of the workers lives in back of loves as a homeless person. So she kicked out all paying customers and left the nonpaying customers alone. They lost ALL my business, and we travel a lot and only stop at loves. But no more stopping there, unless they resolve this problem, which they won't. DO NOT go to Loves in Portland.
