It was my first time visiting a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised with the farm fresh products and locally made goods. Some vendors have food available like chinese pretzels, Hawaiian chili pepper water, and fresh baked goods. Maui Ono Donuts is also posted up in the parking lot and dishing out their old fashioned cake donuts. I perused some of the vendors and ended up buying a handmade apron made from Hawaiian bark cloth as a gift. I also got some donuts for the road. There's a good variety here if you're in the Kihei area and want to support some local businesses.

There's live entertainment, arts and crafts, food, baked goods, and produce... locally made and grown items. I purchased some butter mochi from one of the vendors and we chatted with the business owners sharing with us some tips on places to visit. They mentioned how rare for this side (South Kihei) to get flash floods so the heavy rains that happened yesterday was just a freak incident. Oh, the butter mochi was delicious! We ate it the next day at the airport while waiting for our flight. We also purchased some produce. Everything from avocados, papaya, and mango to carrots, lime, and tomatoes were sold here. Hubby loves papaya and he was excited to find some here. Everyone's so friendly. We also enjoyed the local band... even gave us a shout out "visitors from California." If you happen to catch Maui Ono Donuts food truck there... make sure you try their donuts! Ko Mahiai Makeke means farmers market in Hawaiian. Review #2724

An unforgettable adventure that even a broken toe couldn't ruin!…read more I arrived in Maui completely running on fumes after working two weeks straight as a nurse with zero days off, plus my usual spin classes 5 times a week. I was exhausted but determined. During the excursion, I actually ended up breaking my toe! I chose not to mention it to Henry because I didn't want to slow down the day, which meant I quietly missed out on the option to dive off the waterfalls--but it didn't stop me from having the time of my life. The beauty of booking with Rent A Maui Boy is how naturally the tour caters to all levels of energy and physical capabilities. Even with me resting my foot on the sidelines at times and my husband choosing to sit a few of the other physical activities out, we never felt like we missed a thing. Henry made sure my husband was thoroughly entertained, safe, and comfortable the entire time, while I got the exact restful, scenic recovery I desperately needed from my brutal work stretch. We spent a magical day soaking in the culture and eating fresh treats at local fruit stands. Lunch at a local food truck. Forget your cell phone. Do not need it. Supporting an owner-operated business like Henry's makes all the difference--he provides a flawless, memorable day no matter what includes a memorable video for this amazing day. Highly recommend

This trip was specifically for my son who is wheelchair bound and he made sure that everything we did revolved around my son having the time of this life. We learned lots about the area, laughed till we cried and felt like we met our new best friend on Maui. I really wanted to be present with my group so the fact that Henry captured photos and took videos of the day was the main reason I chose him. We received both within a couple days and have shared the video and photos to everyone in our lives. A nice wine tasting place in Upcountry Maui …read more.. Had a whole day on Maui, so why not have a wine flight or two, along with a bit of munchies... So after making the Komoda Bakery and Pukalani Superette stops along the way, I continued to the end of Highway 37, and then some, to this place! Takes about an hour from Kahului, or 25-30 minutes from Makawao, so plan accordingly... But a nice drive into the countryside, and a laid back place to have a taste of some locally produced wines. Also roam around the nicely landscaped grounds and see some rooms that can be rented for private parties and such. This place will continue to be on my list to stop by if I have time in Upcountry Maui and feel a need for a bit of fuzzy goodness....

We were sure what we would think of pineapple wine, but we LOVED this! The property was beautiful and the experience was so unique. We tried a few red wines as well and loved the GSM and Syrah. We decided to take home 5 bottles. We were able to have them packed to be checked onto the plane. There was also an option to have it shipped home. They also have options to join their wine club - we considered, but maybe we will join next time. We came in as a walk in and brought our two kiddos. I took off one star because we seemed to get mixed service from the hostess and server. I'm not sure if it was because we were a walk in, a larger group or had kids. I would definitely add this to your itinerary if you love wine, want to have a picturesque relaxing afternoon, and want to get away from the resort

I have stayed in a ocean view suite and standard king rooms. They either have balconies or patios that lead out to the pool area. I prefer the balconies but it's personal preference. One thing to note, to access the pools, there are a significant amount of steps. You can take an elevator to the Bumbeye beach bar (level 2) but you will have to walk up and down to get to the lowest level pool and to the beach. If you have mobility issues, please be aware that this is the only way to access the beach. There are golf carts that the hotel has that can reach this area but double check if this is something they can do for you. this is for 07/2026 stay - I thought it was time to do another honest review since this is a good…read moreway for me to keep track of places I've been as well as sharing it with others - giving back to the community. This is my second time being there as a globalist as my first time was probably abour 7-10 years ago. honestly a minute. we were welcomed with the same lei and coconut necklace, some welcome juice non alocholic, and wash towels for cleaning the face which is all cute. they stopped giving water bracelets and its now just keys which sucks because how do we do beach activities and not worry about things like key card getting lost? they said its part of their changes. big change is their breakfast - less selection compared to before - i'd like to say they have gone downhill since last time I been around. The breakfast menu have changed in that if you want to have an omelette, there is no longer a self-help omelette station where you tell the chef what you want and they make it for you. You would now have to order it with a server, and the omelette is not included. also specialty coffee is also now not included just regular coffee, which tasted awful. Like many things about Hyatt, and this economy, this is to no surprise. if you are a globalist, they do still cover valet parking which is amazing, the pools are a bit overcrowded when we went during the summer, and the yoga mats all smell like feet, seems like they did not do much TLC in that department. The yoga instructors are all on a 1099 contract, it seems but the people and quality have decreased because of the 2 that we met; they were not friendly at all compared to the last time I was there. it just seems like a job for them. All the excursions that were included were all booked out right when we arrived, making it nearly impossible to do anything in the property. i mean it is still an amazing, relaxing experience. They couldn't really upgrade us because it was a full house already and kind of chaotic (we went during summer July time so peak season) It's still a newer hotel and had more TLC done to it than other hotels within Hawaii I'd like to say, but for the price point im a little disappointed. Also we had found hair and among other stuff in the bathroom meaning they haven't cleaned it properly upon arrival. I know they had recently changed GM and all but for the points i used to book the hotel, and the price mark during peak season I had a higher expectation no offense. the wings are all a bit confusing and they don't really have a map guide - the first day took me a while to get in the middle of the week of our stay the fire alarm went off at 3am which lasted a while, which i texted the front desk and they reassured it was false alarm, and then what was worst was 40 minutes later when we were about to sleep they said all clear like 30 minutes back-to-back, which became even more confusing and alerting - like if we were not awaken previosuly by the alarm, we are awaken now - but other than that i'd rate it a 8/10 experience given the price point, the lack of expereince we can gain from the resort. and if it isnt for globalist benefit, it would've def been lower rating. still a beautiful place don't get me wrong but just quite expensive, but i am sure if you havent been here when it was amazing, this would've been a 10/10 experience for anyone easy.
