It was my first time visiting a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised with the farm fresh products and locally made goods. Some vendors have food available like chinese pretzels, Hawaiian chili pepper water, and fresh baked goods. Maui Ono Donuts is also posted up in the parking lot and dishing out their old fashioned cake donuts. I perused some of the vendors and ended up buying a handmade apron made from Hawaiian bark cloth as a gift. I also got some donuts for the road. There's a good variety here if you're in the Kihei area and want to support some local businesses.

There's live entertainment, arts and crafts, food, baked goods, and produce... locally made and grown items. I purchased some butter mochi from one of the vendors and we chatted with the business owners sharing with us some tips on places to visit. They mentioned how rare for this side (South Kihei) to get flash floods so the heavy rains that happened yesterday was just a freak incident. Oh, the butter mochi was delicious! We ate it the next day at the airport while waiting for our flight. We also purchased some produce. Everything from avocados, papaya, and mango to carrots, lime, and tomatoes were sold here. Hubby loves papaya and he was excited to find some here. Everyone's so friendly. We also enjoyed the local band... even gave us a shout out "visitors from California." If you happen to catch Maui Ono Donuts food truck there... make sure you try their donuts! Ko Mahiai Makeke means farmers market in Hawaiian. Review #2724

The ahí poke was my favorite, but they had beef, chicken, pork, fish, veggies galore, Ube bread, a wide variety of desserts, some delicious appetizers, and the list goes on! The venue is beautiful and have plenty of space. We were seated towards the back so it a bit more difficult to pay attention and hear. The show was decent but it didn't start until later and it was paced out pretty slow. The whole event seems to be longer than needed.. from 4:30-8ish but it was nice to experience sunset here. Food was actually decent. A lot of places are ayce but this was family-style. Service was great and they kept refilling our food to make sure we're never empty. The short ribs were the best. Poke was good and simple, fish was a bit dry, salad was refreshing, but fruits were surprisingly not as sweet as I thought it would be in Maui. It's also aycd at the bar but the cocktails were very sweet. I learned to just order shots. They also have coffee and tea available. They had a cool tattoo and cute flower station too. Cool place to check out!

This trip was specifically for my son who is wheelchair bound and he made sure that everything we did revolved around my son having the time of this life. We learned lots about the area, laughed till we cried and felt like we met our new best friend on Maui. I really wanted to be present with my group so the fact that Henry captured photos and took videos of the day was the main reason I chose him. We received both within a couple days and have shared the video and photos to everyone in our lives. To say this was a magical, amazing experience doesn't sum it up enough but if you are reading this, don't hesitate, BOOK WITH HIM NOW!

Traveling solo, it feels weird to take selfies everywhere or worse, asking someone to take your photo. The tour was me and 2 other couples: one couple were newlyweds and the other couple were on their very 1st trip together (as a couple). (Honestly where do you go after a trip to a Hawaii?!?) We could not have had a group that meshed BETTER than all of us. Our guide Henry clearly knew "the good spots" because we didn't stop anywhere that anyone else was... he made us climb down treacherous "root ladders" and walk through the coldest water up to our necks but his ideas were always SO worth it. And he captured the best pics! I highly recommend this EXACT excursion because you don't have to worry about any photos. He has it covered, and trust me, it's truly UNFORGETTABLE!!!

As promised, he found an octopus and put on a show with it (humanely, of course). We saw tons of tropical fish too. The scooters themselves are an absolute blast. We were swimming with SO. MANY. TURTLES. (Apparently if you go in the winter season, you'd see a lot of whales!)! I know there are other "turtle town spots around the island, and we've been to a "turtle town". But the sheer amount of turtles you will see here is unparalleled. Our guides Derek and Robbie were awesome: 1. They took so many photos of us - diving under waters to capture the turtles and us, took 200+ photos and 40 videos and was constantly in the water looking out for turtles. 2. They are also such great swimmers and made me feel at ease given that I'm fairly new to snorkeling. At some point I lost one of my fins and started panicking, but Derek swiftly recovered the lost fin! We also capsized at some point, but with Robbie's calm instructions, we quickly made it back to the kayak. Whew! 3. We also heard several interesting stories and facts about the history of the islands around. Overall, this is absolutely a can-not-miss tour in Maui and we can't wait to be back for the whale season!
