I went here awhile back. The hairstylist I got (not Tabitha) was busy talking to receptionist, & one other stylist. I felt really weird and ignored in the hen fest. Also she straight ironed my hair so much it looked thin & kept falling in my face when I was writing her out a check. She acted cold as if she didn't care if I came back. Ok, so this review is 4 months LATE and my hair cut/color is effectively 4 months OLD but I felt inspired to leave a review here because I am STILL getting compliments on my hair! I came with my Groupon over wintertime and Carolyn saw me. I had never gotten bayalage and I was new to coloring in general, but she listened to my (albeit vague and likely confusing) color requests and somehow managed to turn my hair into something ive absolutely loved every single day since!! I am getting married in two weeks and now living in Colorado... The woman doing my wedding hair trial kept complementing my color and couldnt believe it had been done so long ago. Tabatha has been doing my hair for years and I've never been happier. Not only does my hair look amazing every time, Tabatha and her staff are wonderful people--I enjoy my visits and look forward to seeing them. I am not a natural blonde. My hair is thick and quite dark. Tabatha is so good that I frequently get compliments from strangers, some of whom do hair themselves. Look closely at my picture. My hair is shiny, soft, and growing rapidly--not something most hairdressers can achieve with hair like mine. Every other stylist I've visited took 4-6 hours to do a full foil on my hair--Tabatha does exceptional work in 3 hours or less and the prices are reasonable. Tabatha's is a great place. This was my first visit to this salon and I love the vibe! I saw tabatha who cut and styled my hair she was so careful to make sure she understood what my needs were and patiently repeated what she heard me say that I wanted in a style..she is amaZing! I also noted that her staff was just as nice and helpful with there clients...after she had done my hair i mentioned I wished there was a good salon that offered eyelashes and haircuts and she actually called her own eyelash lady and made me an appointment for the same day...you just don't get service like that these days. Online booking was a breeze! Tabatha was great, and did an amazing coloring job for me (I love it!) and Meagan was super nice! I have to admit, though, my favorite thing about this trip to the salon was the wiggles and snuggles from Astra, Tabatha's super cute pup!!! Yesterday I called Tabatha's to make an appointment with Mary,who I had seen once before. Jennifer booked my appointment for the next day(today) at 3:30. When I arrived they did not have me on the schedule. I was bummed but stuff happens, right? There was another stylist there just finishing up and Tabatha asked if she would cut my hair. Without even a blink she said sure she would love to! This was exceptional customer service! The thing that impressed me the most was not one of the stylists said anything bad about the person who made the error. Not even a roll of the eyes or a sigh. No Drama! I got another great cut! Tabatha was very knowledgeable, had a big personality and was very strict about following Covid protocols. All wonderful characteristics. The haircut turned out awesome and she gave some great advice. The only drawback was the price tag for a haircut at $65. I've been a customer of Tabatha for oh, I'd say about 12 years now. I'm embarrassed to say I don't think I've ever taken the time to write a review and I'm sorry for that because she certainly more than deserves it! She's phenomenal with haircuts and color. She takes the time to get a particular brand of color because of an allergy I have to the "normal" dyes. Her salon is absolutely beautiful and she did it all herself. I just recently moved to WA &today was my first time at this salon. My past experiences at salons have been either horrible or just okay, so I was trying not to expect too much. I purchased a package color, cut, condition, and style. I have naturally curly hair that has a tendency to be frizzy and coarse. I am in my 40's and have lived in Oly area for 9 years. I have NEVER found anyone who is more attentive, honest and sooooo experienced as Tabatha!!!!! She listend and explained EVERY step of the way. My hair turned out great!!!! So, I had my hair colored at Tabitha's by Crystal back in early September and although it seems washed out compared to what it was over three months ago, I am STILL getting compliments on it every time I'm in public. I'm in Seattle and Tabitha's is located in Olympia (but not deep in to Olympia) but the drive is definitely worth it! Crystal did such a nice job and some is still remailing and folks really like the "highlighted" look. I got a hair cut from here 3 weeks ago! The shirt girl with blonde hair named Christina ,she did a horrible as job! I had to wait and grow out my hair a little more so I can get it fixed! She definitely did not know what she was doing! My hair was all choppy and layered so randomly! And to top it off she charged me $74 for a hair cut which she cut like not even two inches off! I am a single mom! And I told her that and she still didn't care! That could have been my grocery money! Like seriously $74 for a damn hair cut! Us single mothers can't afford to get our hair done to begin with and people like this really make it hard for us! And then the fact that is was not even a good hair cut... that just made it worse! When you go for a hair cut to feel and look good you don't expect to come out feeling worse and broke! Thank you Tabatha's hair! I saw Tabatha for a haircut for the first time recently, and she is definitely who I am going to for haircuts as long as I live in near Olympia!! Tabatha listened to what I wanted, gave me suggestions as to what would work with my hair type and my face shape, and gave me the best bangs I have ever had!!! Wow. Tabatha is one of the best stylists I've ever been to, and I am counting the excellent salons I've been to in Seattle, San Francisco and New York. First of all, the salon is very nice and very clean, but not fancy. The atmosphere is very laid back and the people are super nice. I went in to have my roots colored and to have my hair cut. Tabatha explained that what I really needed was foils, to even out my hair, which was way too dark in the roots and way too light on the ends. She gave me a brand new color that is WAAAAY more flattering, and an amazing hair cut. I may be moving back to Seattle soon, but I am thinking that it would be smart to drive down to have her do my hair. Seriously. Go to her!!! read more

Tabatha really helped me with a super unfortunate hair situation. My hair was fried and sections of my hair actually fried off at another salon :( This was hidden from me because I was turned away from the mirror so I couldn't see what was going on and then given a horrible haircut (I am assuming to try and hide the fried off hair). :( Total nightmare! I google searched salons with good ratings and Tabatha's kept coming up. Tabatha did what she could with what she had to work with to help fix my nightmare hair. She had to put a dark color in to help even out the botched bleach job, and I am so thankful she evened the color out! I look forward to my next appointment and crossing my fingers my hair will be able to handle a little blonde for the end of summer :) I would totally recommend Tabatha and her salon. Update... I had seen Tabatha several times and things were going well. But one day i got a call on the day of my scheduled appointment. I was told that Tabatha was sick and needed to cancel my appointment. I asked when I could reschedule as my hair was in desperate need of a touch up and was put on "hold".... put on hold consisted of putting the phone on the counter while she checked on the calendar. While on "hold" i could hear Tabatha chatting with a client and sounding perfectly fine. I tried not to get annoyed while i waited and listened. The woman came back to the phone and said Tabatha was booked several weeks out (no kidding, why do you think I book my appointment 7 weeks out at each appointment?!) I was told she would call me back when she was well, as only she would know where she could squeeze me in. That was almost two months ago. No call, no offer to have another stylist fill in. I absolutely love Christine. She does a great job and listens to my concerns and never over cuts. I have been going to her for quite some time. I made the mistake if seeing another gal in there while Christine was gone on vacation. Worst hair cut ever. She was sloppy and hurried. She cut way too much off and I had asked her not to. I'm sorry to write a bad review, but please do not go here to get your eyelashes tinted. I've had my eyelashes tinted many times and have never had a problem with stinging or pain. The product they use was particularly harsh - it had a significantly more chemically smell than other products I've used. The technique used was downright dangerous. There was too much liquid on the cloth used to wipe the product from my eyes, and the pressure used to wipe was so firm that it opened my eyes slightly and allowed the product to pour into my eyes. The stinging was severe and lasted several hours. I was very disappointed when the technician suggested that it was partly my fault since I had "squinted my eyes" when the pain started. On top of it all, it's only been a few days and the dye is pretty much gone. It usually lasts a few weeks. I do not recommend this service at this venue. However, the staff was very nice, and I haven't gotten any other services done there so I can't rate anything but lash tint. UPDATE: Shortly after I published the review, the owner contacted me to offer a heartfelt apology and a refund. I was pleased with the way she managed the situation. She explained the errors that had been made, and assured me that they have been remedied. read more

I recently had my hair colored for my daughter's wedding and it turned out greenish! I called Tabatha's and they got me in right away. After calming me down, and talking about my options, Megan went right to work. I was concerned because she looked so young, but she did a great job, my hair looked great, and was so much softer and healthier feeling.
