Called ahead (at 6 pm) to see if we needed a reservation. Was told that we could just come over (from the hotel next door) and when we did the front desk had problems seating the table ahead of us. So, my party of 3 sat at the bar. Once at the bar, we were quickly served drinks from the friendly bartender and promptly received our drinks. They were delicious! Then we waited and waited and waited to order food. After 45 minutes of watching the only bartender fill every order from every waitress serving tables we thought it was time to go somewhere else. The guy next to us waited @ 20 minutes just to get a draft beer. Sigh. Decided to have dinner elsewhere. This place needs to give more help to the bar staff. Between one person waiting on tables near the bar and serving all the waitress table orders, we knew we didn't have a chance of eating for at least an hour. They lost a star because the lemon cake has changed. Instead of being light and fluffy it's dense, like they forgot some ingredients dense. The icing is supposed to be a glaze but it's actually frosting. A cake from Walmart would probably taste better. I ordered it a couple times to make sure the first time wasn't a fluke, nope. My gf and I drove 8 hours and stopped in downtown Sioux City, Iowa. We went to Table 32 for dinner. She had a decent Caesar salad, and I ordered prime rib nachos for us to share. We took 3 bites of the nachos only to discover it was a dish of soggy chips, almost no prime rib, and a mountain of lettuce. We handed back a full plate of these $18 "nachos" and, I suppose, were lucky they charged us $9 instead of $18. We came back to the hotel room and ordered doordash. Bad restaurant. I was in Sioux City for 7 days and came to Table 32 twice (to make sure it was really good). The first time I had the chips and salsa for an appetizer before diving into the Ribeye. The 1/2 off bottle wine Monday was a surprising treat too. The steak was excellent and the service superb. The second trip I had the grilled salmon, and again I was well attended to. Great service - our waitress was outstanding. The food was hit and miss... I had the poke bowl which was tuna with noodles, lettuce and a few slices of avocado-- zero flavor. My daughter had the shrimp curry which was also lacking flavor. My son liked his chicken and waffles although he mentioned the chicken was really stringy and overcooked. My husband ordered the apple stuffed pick chop daily special on polenta and it was AWESOME (we all had a bite). Not sure what was going on at the bar, but my second sangria took about 25 minutes so they comp'ed it. We heard great things about this place, and we were lucky that this place is right next door to our hotel. We started with the chips and salsa, which was delicious. Man! I stopped by cause I couldn't pull the trigger on Chili's. Found this little gem down the road and SOOO glad I did! I ordered the Chislic and was blown away by this seemingly simple dish. Cajun spice, creamy horseradish sauce with some plump mushrooms and Gorgonzola to bring it all home. So much flavor on what's list under "small plates". Marissa was an amazing bartender. Unusual, but very good lobster bisque and fabulous elk chops with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Should have been a five star, but the service was a little slow (too common now a days) and the signature dessert posted as we walked in was not available. The cobbler with ice cream and the caramel, bacon and bourbon sauce was an absolute excellent substitution. I was hesitant since cobblers in the South always contain fruit. This cobbler was just the crunchy topping from a southern style cobbler, similar to the topping of a Dutch apple pie. read more

What a gem! The food was great. We had the New Zealand Elk Chops with asparagus and horseradish mashed potatoes and the Chicken Wellington with asparagus and baked potato. That is the only reason for 4 stars. The cake was desiccated and was more like tasteless white bread than cake. The service was excellent although we did have wait for the dessert. I've heard a lot of hype about this new restaurant and had to check it out. The menu is diverse and full of great options I couldn't decide. Ranging from new American pastas, sandwiches, salads and entrees (ramen as well). Drinks: 32 mule with lavender syrup was refreshing. I also loved their raspberry stout and thought their drink menu was very original with their nitro coffee options. The Iowa coffee with vermouth tasted great. Food: - osso bucco: the pork shanks were beautifully plated! Goat cheese potatoes were full of flavor. - The 32: the steak was cooked perfectly on the open faced sandwich. I wasn't in love with the thin toast, but the caramelized onions and butter made it very tasty. I was sad the fries were bland since fried are my favorite guilty pleasure. So I've been here twice, and the first time really didn't make an impression on me and I don't remember much about the food or service. I came back about a year later and we did appetizers, drinks and steaks. What was disappointing is when you pay for a $30 steak and it's almost well, when it should be medium rare, it should be a concern to the manager.. The waitress apologized and said she will talk with the ma anger . She comes back and says they will give us a free dessert. So $46 for two steaks or a $10 dessert In a high-end restaurant with those prices, the manager should've come over and either explained what the problem was.. "it's a new cook or they got busy" or at least acknowledged our table and listened to us, so it doesn't happened again.. That is the most disappointing point to this review.. Anyone can over cook a steak, it's how it's handled what I look for... Third time is a charm, (hopefully not in their case) I'll be back to see if they have figured it out.. it's a cool place and in my book deserves another chance... The food is excellent especially the salads, but the speed of service is not. I don't recommend going here for lunch if you have the usual hour break. Even though we get there a little after 11am and there are only a few other customers there, it takes about 40-45 min to get food (even just two salads). It seems carry out orders are priority as we saw many picked up while we were still waiting for our food. I've even ordered take out and it only takes about 20 minutes. Not sure why dine in has to wait so long. This has happened several times and today was final chance. We can't go there for lunch during the week anymore. We are in Sioux City for 2 nights and decided to try out Table 32. Fantastic!! You won't be disappointed. We had the Chislic as an appetizer. Delicious! We also had an Old Fashioned and Margarita...great drinks. For entrees we had filet Mignon and a pork chop. The steak was amazing and the horseradish mashed potatoes were yummy! We had dinner here a few nights ago. The food was very good. We did some research before going and thought it would be a great place to have dinner. Overall we were disappointed and will probably not go back even if in the area. The restaurant is beautiful. It's well done. But the service was not acceptable. Maybe they were understaffed that night but they didn't communicate that to us. Our bartender/server didn't even bother to check on us after our meal was served until we were done. I was just over the river in South Sioux City, Nebraska when a local to the area recommended this restaurant. Upon entry the interior is very upscale and modern with a very relaxed vibe. I ordered the chicken Wellington(I really wish I took photos) that was amazing, the chicken was moist, the sauce delicious, and had I had the room in my stomach, I would have cleared my plate of the baked potato and asparagus.
