Have been here multiple times enjoying their wines ending with their blueberry wines that are to die for. It's tucked off the main roads for those that like traveling for a hidden gem. Having an outdoor area for live music and events but also having an indoor area for their general store and the tasting it's nice to pick and choose what you want. Not much in terms of sights being in the forest but sometimes it's nice to get away from the noise of the city and town. We enjoyed a sampling of 6 wines with dry and sweet whites/reds and the blueberry wines that we were lucky enough to have a quick peak into one of the workers as he was stirring blueberries in a large box. The moment we went into the back area we were welcomed with the aroma of blueberry that put a smile on my face. I love this place because they don't try too hard to do too much. They have the personality, flavor and feel of a smaller vineyard that anyone will enjoy if they go. read more

What a wonderful way to spend a summer afternoon. This cellar door has lots of wine to taste and buy. Goes all the way from Cab Savs and Chardonnay to something called Wicked Blue. You get bang for buck with the $8 tasting (you keep the glass). Most bottles are $14-16 to buy which at a winery is decent. Wine is crazy subjective but my picks were the Noho Blush, Sayval Blanc, Tre Sorelle and Chambourcin. Staff here know their stuff and you can tell that Larry really loves what he's producing - for good reason. It's tasty and there's something for everyone. They do sweeter and fruited wines. I've never had anything like the May Wine. I totally get how folks could love the cinnamon nutmeg sweet flavors. The outdoor area is a great place to hangout and enjoy wine. They have picnics tables, adirondac chairs and a covered area. While we got into the relaxed backyard feel there was a girl and guitar duo who lent a warm summery afternoon feel to the vibe. It's nice when you can find a winery that makes it easy to hang around and enjoy. Loved visiting. read more

Went to celebrate a birthday with my family and had a great time. There is ample outdoor space to enjoy your delicious wine. I liked every type I tried and bought a bottle to bring home. Love this place... First off the owner is awesome. He loves wine, and he loves talking about wine. Our first time there was early on Sunday, and we were the only ones there. He gave us a tour of the grounds. Great tasting... That being said, the wine here is some the best I have had. The blueberry he does doest taste like a fruit wine. Its honestly the best non grape wine I have ever had! Chardonnay is great, and so is the Riesling. Every time I am in the area, i will go here for wine. I cant recommend this place enough. read more

Wines were great and so are the owners. None of the fruit wine were too sweet and the 2010 red tastes right out of napa. They import grapes and that OK with me, because let's face it... New England doesn't make the best grapes for good wine. $5 a taste with cheese and chocolate. Cute wine shop and we got a little tour of the winery too! read more

Attended an event here, not really knowing what to expect. It was excellent. Heard many people who have been around the wine block say things along the lines of "I was totally prepared not to like the wine, but (variety in hand, varied!) is really good" Most 'wine people' at the event seemed to have a different favorite, mine was the Cabernet, really rich and flavorful, and for the price (around $15) you would be hard pressed to find as good a wine at the liquor store. The tastings were fun, and a cute farm and gift shop to boot. By far the best Massachusetts winery visited by this reviewer, with 10 or-so under the belt. I am in love with their May Wine, which is a riesling infused with sweet Woodruff. We bought a bottle on June 21st and by June 23rd it was gone. I'm not that sad because the winery will ship within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I will be ordering a whole case. The wine tasting is quite generous - six dollars for five wine samples and the wine glass. For those that are being good designated drivers, the winery will let you share the tasting with someone. The grounds aren't as pretty as other vineyards but the wine is worth the drive. read more

What a nice surprise! Mineral Hills Winery at Godard's Red Hen Farm has a great variety of wines to please the finickiest palate, including your diehard beer drinker. Semi-dry, tangy, tart, sweet, fruity, and buttery smooth are just a few words to describe the kaleidoscope of liquid gold bottled up at this winery. This is the 1st MA winery I've been to so far and it sets the bar pretty high for any other to follow. If you're looking for a unique wine that is unlike any other you've tried, you must try the May Wine. It is a "traditional sweet German wine, it is a Riesling wine that is infused with sweet woodruff. Floral aromas, with sweet undertones of freshly cut hay and flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, and apple." It comes in a 750 ml bottle for $15.25 or $28.00 for a 1.5 L Eco bag (no cardboard box flavor added). We left this winery with four bottles of wine: 2016 Chardonnay- the smoothest Charnonnay I've ever had, Apple Wine- A delicious blend of local apples; an apple pie in a glass, Frontenec, a semi-dry deep, rich full bodied wine that has a nice balance, and a bottle of Red Hen Red- a Crisp bright fruity sweet wine, cherry and raspberry flavors with finishes of dark chocolate (yummy!). We also couldn't leave without grabbing a Eco bag of the May wine, which was our absolute favorite! We loved so many of their wines we just had to sign up for their Case club. Its free to join! As a club member, after you purchase 12 bottles, you get a free wine tasting and 10% off all your future purchases in 2017 (or whatever year you sign up). Oh yeah, and let me not forget to say that they also have their own local honey and other wine themed gifts items for sale. Be sure to visit this gem in Florence, you won't regret it. My wife and I stopped in to this winery this past weekend, and loved it. It is a small, family run, young winery. If you go in for a tasting (which is the typical small fee, keep the glass deal), you will be pleasantly surprised to see the the owner, grower, and wine maker is the one who will guide you through their wines! If you like supporting small business, this is as good as it gets. Let me explain, my wife and I have been going to wineries together throughout our entire relationship. We are not newbies who have nothing to compare to. I will not say that these are the best wines I've had, or that I liked everything offered, but there is truly something for everyone here. They offer a great variety, and it is fun to try the different styles, even if they aren't the ones you prefer. On a side note, I will say with complete confidence that they offer the best mead I have ever tasted. Bottom line, they are friendly, likable, and make some really good products. The best part about our visit to Mineral Hills was the owner/winemaker, who showed us the barrel room and explained a bit about the process of making their blueberry wine. He was super enthusiastic and engaging, and took the time to answer questions and discuss his plans to expand the operation. First stop on our Sunday date adventure and it was a great way to begin. Off the beaten path and tucked away but so worth the trip. We did a tasting of different red and white wines which were very tasty. We purchased a bottle of Super Blue blueberry dessert wine (which is a boozy 15%!) We can't wait to sip it by the campfire this week! The lady giving the tasting was very friendly and knowledgeable and quite chatty which we liked - she was very busy and had a completely full tasting bar. A new girl was starting her first day of training but was very sweet and did well for her first time. They offer honey, homemade lotions and herb mixes, jewelry and wine themed items. We also bought a couple mother's day gifts and we even got to keep the tasting glasses which aren't those little ones but nice full sized glasses. Worth the trip for sure! read more

What better way to celebrate your 21st birthday during Covid than on a winery tour with family and two of your best buds. This was the second stop on our tour. It was very busy, but the owner was hustling keeping everyone happy, and found us a great space near the edge of the field, away from people but see we're still able to listen to the music. My daughter and her friends opted for wine slushees and against my better judgement I joined them. They ordered the Blueberry which was very sweet, no big surprise. I ordered the Chardonnay Slushy, which was pleasant and refreshing. They are doing tastings, and have a wide variety of wines, including fruit wines, mead and traditional choices. My husband chose the Chardonnay which was light, my son enjoyed the mead and his girlfriend was pleased with her tasting. This is a very relaxing, comfortable family run farm with a little something for everyone. read more

I have been to this winery three times now and have nothing but great things to say! I love their wines, especially the May wine, Cayuga and red hen red. The owners are extremely friendly, even offering a tour to my group. They answered all our questions and you can tell how passionate they are. The patio is great for relaxing, their prices are reasonable. I especially love that I can find their wines close to home at table and vine.
