This is hands down the best liquor store I have ever been to. The beer and wine selections are endless. They also have an extensive variety of every other type of alcohol. The bottom line is that whatever you like to drink, they not only have it, but they most likely have a differnet brand that you have never seen before. In addition to the spirit selection, there is also a great cheese department, and a variety of other foods as well. If you go to Table and Vine on a Saturday there will lots of sampling for you as well. There are always a few different wine/liquor/cheese selections ready for sampling on the weekend which is great. The staff is always very friendly, and they always have at least one or two wine experts there to help you make your selections. If you need to go to a liquor store, go to Table and Vine. I had to laugh this week. I was out to dinner and saw Estancia Chardonney on the menu for $30/bottle. Last week I bought a case of it here, for $7.99/bottle. Talk about mark up. Good for them for getting away with it. Better for me for shopping at Table and Vine! And I never leave without some interesting cheese, crackers, or other nibbles to try. For someone reason, CT is craft beer hell (no offense to Hooker, BBC and Ten Penny), there are so many fine brews we can't get in CT, but every other northeast state gets such as Green Flash, Great Divide, Firestone, Port Brewing, Bear Republic, Avery, etc... But on the bright side CT is a tiny state and Table & Vine is only 35 minutes away! And they are open on Sundays-wow what a concept! There is no longer a booze tax in MA, but I feel like most package stores in MA, they jacked up their price after the sales tax was dropped. Their wines are priced pretty good compared to their beer They really have an amazing selection of booze, beer, wine or the hard stuff. They also always seem to have free samples. They have a cheese department too, another thing we won't see in a CT wine store. It is more than worth the drive from CT. read more

This is what you could call a "destination liquor store". They have huge selections of beer, wine, and spirits. As you would expect at a supermarket they have items 'on special', (discounted in price) which is great. And because of their volume there are frequently vendor promotions going on and the prices are competitive in the area. When it comes to wine they have a rating and small paragraph on most selections, including numerous global vintages as well as sulfate free and organic. Their beer selection is no slouch and they stock many varieties of liquor. You can even have discussions on Facebook with them about bringing in items they don't currently carry. Don't forget about the food! They have a substantial gourmet food section including a lot a cheeses and other edibles you'd expect to enjoy with a drink. This was the first place I found an 'artisan' cheese that had caramelized onions incorporated into it, talk about crazy good! Table & Vine is my favorite place to go when I need to stock up on wine. They have a huge selection of wine, beer, and liquors and also have a decently-sized specialty food section (think olives, special cheeses, chocolates, etc.). The staff is knowledgeable (though often busy with other customers!) and the selection is huge! Things are fairly well organized, with wines broken down into regions and aisles of beer and spirts. There's a wide variety of prices -- everything from $5.99 for a bottle of wine to $100 -- and they offer a 5% discount on any 6 bottles of wine, or 10% off any solid case of wine. read more

Definitely the best craft beer selection....especially MA breweries around. prices are better than most places as well. my biggest feedback for the owners and managers.... The organization of the craft beers is non-existant. If you're going to have everything available, organize it so I can find what i'm looking for. While i love to browse beer selections for a long time, it gets a bit time consuming. organize by type of beer? 22oz's vs. 6 packs....states? alphabetize the brands....anything. i found US beers over in the "international" sections....and vice versa...etc. In all, best selection around, but frustrating to shop unless you are just getting everything. read more

One of the many perks of moving to Massachusetts is table and vine is now my go to wine shop. Wonderfully organized, they have a cute antipasto section so you can grab some olives and peppers, and the staff is great (which I appreciate) I don't think I've ever not found what I was looking for, and to top it off the prices are beyond reasonable. read more

It upsets me to have to give this place three stars because I go here often, they have an amazing selection of everything, and the people who work in the wine section are very knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. However, I'm not happy with the first cashier's attitude. Firstly, her light was still on and the closed sign had not been put up yet or else we would have walked into it. As soon as we put our items in front of her, she looked up and gave us a nasty look. I immediately looked up to see that her light was still on and said, "I'm sorry, are you closed?" And her manager who was standing behind her said, "no, no. She can take you." The cashier who still had the look of death on her face said, "no, I'm closed." And continued to ice grill us. Well, we just picked up our items (which were 200$) and moved to the next cashier who was much more pleasant. In retrospect, I really should have said something to her about her nasty attitude and how off-putting she was. Honestly, Esmy, all you had to do was say, "I'm sorry. This register is closing." Instead of flashing daggers at us in a direction that her manager conveniently could not see. As much as this type of encounter isn't the biggest deal, it can ruin an experience. It is very unfortunate that all of their staff are very friendly and informative with the exception of their cashier, Esmy. Sorry, Table and Vine but that type of attitude is completely inappropriate, undeserved, and unwarranted. read more

This is my 3-year-old's favorite store. At least, in public when someone asks her, it is, much to my embarrassment. She is obsessed with cheese, and will waltz right up to the ladies at the counter and ask them if they have any Havarti or Gouda. She LOVES that they have samples (and Mommy loves that they have grown-up samples, as well). I sometimes spend too much on food there, but how can you not? The cheese selection is the best around, and the edible cookie dough is something you can't get at many other locations. And Iggy's bread... if you haven't tried the cranberry pecan loaf, DO IT, even if you're not a fan of cranberries or pecans (I am not, but I could live on this stuff... I'd be really, really fat, but I could). As for the selection of adult beverages, you really can't beat it. They really do have everything, even some weird stuff like this Squirt/Tequila mix that I sampled and ended up buying. Their wine selection is like no other, and I have no problem walking in and getting any host/hostess gift I need within ten minutes. The prices are pretty good, too. Comparable to other liquor stores, some items a dollar or so more, some that much less. Their sales are pretty decent. All in all, I highly recommend stopping by if you're new to the area. read more

I can't see what all the love is for this place is coming from. It's essentially an upmarket total wine so we're talking supermarket layout with the focus on wine, which takes up half the store, and beer relegated to the back coolers and the left 2 1/2 aisles. They do have a number of locals but very little unique or unusual. Service is nonexistent in the beer section although you can't walk more than 3 feet in wine without someone waiting in you. Yes you can buy beers individually but the experience is so corporate and so cynical that it's breathtaking. Not even total wine inundates you with radio ads for BMC every 30 seconds like these folks do. One minute they're telling you they have 700 different kinds of beer and the next there pontificating on the virtues of the beer of the month which is currently Corona. I just found the whole experience off putting. read more

This is, as near as I can tell, the best wine store in the state of Massachusetts. (And better than anything I know in Connecticut). I used to live in Northampton, and was very spoiled by the original store. It has much more the spirit of a California wine store than something in the east. I now live in Cambridge, and would die to find a store in the Eastern part of the state anywhere nearly as good as Table & Vine. It is a large, non-pretentious, high quality, value-oriented wine-market. The staff know their wine, make regular trips, and do a great job of bringing back wonderful finds from relatively small vineyards around the world. They also do a strong job of covering the larger and more notable wineries, and can usually be counted on to have good depth and quality in whatever you might be looking for. They have plenty of easily noted staff picks, specials, and "wines of the month," which are usually splendid wines at good values. Though there are plenty of wines on the low end of the price spectrum, the focus of the store is more on good value than low price, meaning there are plenty of selections at higher price points. In most cases, you'll pay a less than the wine seems it should. I've come away with a few spectacular Barolo's and Barbaresco's in the $30 - $50 range, and found other similar bargains. if you are looking for something a bit fancier, they'll also be able to help out. They have a great cellar that they don't really advertise, and can usually come up with something in a rare vintage if you need it. They also cover the important French futures markets if that's your cup of tea. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and caring, but also can sometimes be a bit specialized. So, if you're looking for something really particular -- a good Torontes, a guide to Gununer Veltliner vintages, or something -- they can probably direct you to someone who will be a godsend. On the other hand, if you're really lost, the best bet may be to look to the staff picks at the side of the store, which are always well-explained. The original version of this store was the Big Y Liquor Store (or something similar) in Northampton. That name was very misleading, because it has much more of the feel of a small chain -- the kind that grows from a successful small store with a vision -- than a branch of a supermarket. They changed the name to Table & Vine. Eventually, they bought an independent store in West Springfield -- Town & Country -- and merged it into Table & Vine, keeping the best of both parts. Well, the NoHo store is now closed, but that leaves Springfield Table & Vine as the best wine store in the state. read more

If you're a beer or wine connoiseur, this is your place. When I lived in the south we had these giant stores called Total Wine. Table and Vine in West Springfield, MA is almost a carbon copy of Total Wine. Although I am a wine lover, I go here mostly for the beer selection. There is nowhere close-by that can even compare to this place. There are two complete aisles chock full of foreign and domestic beer. If it's good, they've got it. This place is an old Big Y grocery store. Therefore, it is huge and you should use a shopping cart. The wine area takes up about half of the store. It is fantastic! I found a few hard-to-find wines from my hometown area (Bully Hill). They also had a large selection of 90+ wines, which are my favorite value deal bottles. If you are looking for anything in particular, I would say this place is a good bet for finding it or something like it. The other half of the store is several aisles full of every type of liquor you can imagine, and every kind of beer you could possibly want. One stop here also eliminates a snack run. There is an aisle dedicated to chips and nuts as well as a large area with jams, jellies, crackers, and other interesting snack tidbits. Not going to complain about the selection, can usually find what Im looking for with ease. Sometimes I like to take my time & look at all the different beers and am approached repeatedly "can I help you find something" I think they're trying for good customer service which I appreciate, but I feel like I better hurry & pick something like why am I browsing for so long, I dont know. The tastings use to be great, we tried one last week since they stopped for awhile with covid and it was awful. There were 3 bottles. We tried 2 of the 3. The manager/or tasting person who's name I think is Mike wasnt very pleasant either, he seemed annoyed. The woman with him giving the weird covid cheese sample (2 tiny rolled up cheese & salami pieces in a big cup covered with plastic wrap) was nice but he made it awkward. Hope the tastings get better with more personable people and a little more to try than 3 flavors. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect going into Table and Vine. It ended up being a fun shopping experience. This store is owned by Big Y. Everyone keep asking me if I needed help. It may have been the lost look on my face. The two employees that helped me were very informative. The employees are very helpful. I was looking for dessert wine, since I don't like the taste of alcohol. I was also looking for some vodka, for my friends birthday party. I was in there for about an hour or so. Just taking it all in. Also, I was able to buy some fire wood at the same time:) That was a bonus for me! I think you can also buy it online and pick it up at the front of the store. This is a great extra, if you don't have a lot of time. I am not sure if the prices were good or not. But I do know the Absolute vodka was 4 dollars cheaper then costco. I don't go here nearly as much as when this store was in Northampton but when I feel a wine shopping spree bubbling to the surface, this is where I go. They are very complete in there selection both in varietal and regional selections. They carry a wide assortment of cheeses, crackers, and gourmet foods. And if there is a hard liquor or beer that you fancy, chances are they carry it. The staff is quite knowledgeable and always willing to help find that perfect wine for any occasion. Wow. These reviewers must be in some kind of T&V cult or something. Anyway, my experience is that they have a very good selection of alcohol, and the prices are fine. But other than the wine folks, I almost never get knowledgeable help from the staff. I ask "Are you familiar with this beer?" and I get "Not that one." "Sorry, no." "Haven't had that one." Maybe I should ask someone in Dick's Sporting Goods across the parking lot? Then another worker said he was "pretty familiar"(?) with the bourbons, suggested three based on my description of what I wanted, then when I asked him another question just pushed me towards one of them ("I think you'll like this one") as if he had to catch a bus or something. It turned out to be a terrible suggestion, and now I have to wait until I go to a party where I can leave the nearly full bottle for the unsuspecting hosts. Oh, and the hideous, sappy piped-in music -- such as John Denver tunes and that song "Sometimes when we touch / The honesty's too much" (THEN DON'T TOUCH IF IT BOTHERS YOU SO MUCH) will drive you to drink. read more
