I gave it "1 star" because they were open and this was our first time ever ordering here. The steak & cheese sub was worse than the steak-umms u buy at the supermarket, except the steak-umms are somewhat edible!!! Had to throw in the trash barrel, and I felt bad for any critters that get into eat the trash, it was so bad. The chicken finger dinner and fries, we will just say, I'm glad we saw it before eating it. I cannot imagine this place having a license to cook food for people To eat. I just discovered that this pizza restaurant has vegan cheese! As a lactose intolerant person, it's so difficult to find a pizza restaurant that has it. Today I was able to order a large pizza so that I can have leftovers... it has been a very long time since I've been able to do that. Thank you table top! We had a three way pizza in which the concept was lost and the only thing you got right on the Cesar wrap was the lettuce. 8 teeny chunks of chicken and soggy bacon bits. Stay away - on my. I ordered an Italian sub, toasted, with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions - the bread tastes old, the lettuce is wilted, the pickles look like 1 big pickle chopped into bits and they only use two types of meat, no cheese, and I could actually see the hand print of where the sandwich was squeezed/mangled together. The "tri colored pasta with olives and roasted red peppers" looks like a 5 year old threw some raw ziti in a dish, dumped canned olives on it with red peppers straight out of a jar and they threw in a side of Italian dressing... disgusting.. oh, and they were 20 minutes late to their projected delivery time and they are only 3 miles away... The food is inexpensive and good. This is a place to stop by on the way home on Fridays for pizza night. It's hard to be beat the prices. More importantly, no one works harder than the owner. He is always there and works harder in one day than most of us in a week. I remind myself how important it is to support a local business. This is a good neighborhood pizza place. We tried an Italian grinder and a pepperoni pizza and both were good. The grinder comes with pickles on it - fair warning if you're not a pickle fan. My husband, however, was delighted by this little addition. The pizza has a fairly thinner crust, but isn't quite thin crust if that makes sense. The crust had a great flavor and the sauce had a nice little kick. The pepperoni was on the spicy side and was obviously thicker and better quality than you'd get at other pizza places. Fair warning, when you call and they say 10 minutes, they really mean 10 minutes. It's not like every other pizza place in the world where 10 minutes is really 40 minutes. It's actually just 10 minutes, so get your butt down there and get your pizza before it gets cold. There's a few tables if you want to eat-in, but most people were getting take out. I brought cash because other reviews said it is cash only,but I didn't confirm this. They deliver too, so huge plus for that. Edited to add: Table Top has a website! Just search for Table Top Franklin, MA on Google and you'll find it. This place is just okay. I'd say just an average pizza place. Its cash only which I don't like, doesn't even take debit cards, but there is an ATM in the convenience store next door. The pizza was nothing special, very bland. When I went in to order there was only one lady there and she was on the phone, I had to wait a while to order. When I got home and tried it , the crust was so bad , it was like a bad frozen pizza . Very good pizza - not too greasy at all. A bit thinner crust than I usually like and skimpy on the hamburger (thus the 4 stars) but the flavor made up for it. Also had the mozzarella sticks, yum! I was impressed that they called me immediately after I placed my online order to let me know they didn't have the soda I requested, so I could order a different one. Been a customer here for so many years, I can't even be sure of the # of years. The little Italian lady that owns it is super nice, always has a smile on her face. She makes the best sauce EVER! If you haven't tried their spaghetti sauce, you're really missing out. The pizza is really good, not greasy. The sauce is perfect, not sweet like most places and you never have to ask for extra chesse. Their subs are old fashioned, toasted with oil and normal size, nothing crazy but you sure don't leave hungry. They have everything from slices to pizzas to subs to calzones to dinners to salads. If you don't see something on the menu, the owner will do her best to accomodate you. I have to say my favorite is their Italian sub, superb! Everyone has different tastes in food but service is another story. To those of you who commented on the bad service you received, you MUST be talking about some place else! read more
