The guacamole was incredibly fresh, packed with flavor, and served alongside warm, freshly made tortilla chips that were hard to stop eating. We also ordered the esquites, since I'm a huge fan of authentic elote preparado. The flavors were delicious and well-balanced. My only suggestion would be to serve the esquites warm, I promise it truly takes the dish to another level. As for the tacos, the presentation was beautiful. The Al Pastor tacos looked fantastic, but they leaned a little too sweet for my taste and were missing some of the bold, smoky flavors I associate with traditional Al Pastor, like guajillo chiles, oregano, and other aromatic spices. On the other hand, the chicken tacos were excellent. They were juicy, well-seasoned, and flavorful enough to shine without needing much from the toppings. To top it all off, our server was friendly, attentive, and helped make the entire experience enjoyable. Overall, Bakersfield exceeded my expectations.
