Jardin is just off of highway 24 next to the Shell gas station. It is in a standalone building and there is plenty of parking. The staff was very friendly and I was seated and no time flat and brought a big basket of chips and salsa. I would hazard a guess that neither was made on the premises. Tonight's special was almost all of the seafood dishes were $9.99 and my server suggested that I take advantage of those specials. I selected the Baja shrimp, which was shrimp with jalapeño peppers and onion in a tomatillo sauce. My food came out in a pretty quick fashion and overall, it wasn't bad. It came with rice, guacamole, sour cream and lettuce. I can guarantee that the guacamole was not made in house and tasted like a cheap supermarket brand. The shrimp and all was pretty good. The restaurant was pretty good, especially considering that this was in a pretty rural area. Maybe if there was a lot of competition, this place might warrant only three stars, but considering that it is off the beaten path, I will up it to four stars.

Found this place like the beautiful gem it is on a road trip. Hidden away so that only the true adventurers, the Indian Jones's of our time can find. You must be worthy I guess. The enchiladas verdes said beef and the picture looked great, but when you actually took a bite of it all shredded beef green beauty made me fall in love. The staff could tell I take no joke in the all you can eat salsa and chips and kept me satisfied.

The steak chili relleno was very good, BIG, and super tasty. The guacamole was very good as well. The chicken tortilla soup was very tasty with good portion of chicken and avocado. We will be back when traveling through.

The food was excellent, huge portions. The service was attentive and the ambience was a typical Mexican restaurant.

Best carnitas in the biz. Best I've had near Nashville and in Nashville. One exit down and right off the highway. A must stop.

Culamar is drenched in natural light and decorated simply - nothing too loud or busy about the place, thus perfect for a working lunch. The menu was odd and we all struggled to understand the categories it was broken up into. Each item read as a series of arbitrarily listed ingredients. Our (half asleep, disinterested) waitress informed us the dishes were, in majority, "tapas style", a term I find exhaustingly passé. I began to dream of restaurants down the road we could have selected, but we were here and we must stay the course! I had to keep it together for Dennis. We ordered 6 dishes for the three of us to share, and you know what? They were all excellent. Really such outstanding bites. I was stunned by how much I enjoyed the beef carpaccio, the calamari was the best I've ever had (amazing tempura fry!), the Gnuddi (basically a massive gnocchi) in browned butter and crisp sage was a pillowy delight. In spite of my initial concerns -- the hiccups of a confusing menu and our less-than-energetic waitress -- we all left with pleased palates.

The food itself was absolutely delicious. The bread was AMAZING and honestly one of the highlights. We also ordered the oysters, beef carpaccio, and duck, and everything tasted incredible. My biggest complaint is the price for the portion sizes. I really don't mind spending money on a nice dinner, but every dish we ordered was gone in what felt like less than a minute. Everything tasted amazing, but for the amount of food you actually get, I just couldn't justify the prices. We actually left and ended up going to another restaurant afterward because we were still hungry, which was pretty disappointing considering how much we had just spent. Overall, the food was delicious, but between the extremely small portions, high prices, tight space, and slower service, it just wasn't worth it for us. I'm glad we tried it, but I wouldn't go back.

We came here for late dinner, 8.30 and this place was not packed which is very surprising, bc they play music jazz music, and you can have a lovely dinner and still hear ppl talk. But the best thing is their pork chop !!! This is a must get. Thank me later. We got the pork chop medium well bc we like our pork more cooked bc ain't no one trying to get salmonella from undercooked pork. But it was sooo good, has a nice char on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. Additionally, it sits on top of a bed of allegedly "rice" according to our server. But to me, it reminded me of a tendon brisket texture. I would've bet money on it too. But delicious with sweet peach sauce that came with it. For the prime rib, it was a huge cut of meat, but it was lacking flavor, needed some more salt and some rosemary to bring out the meat. Both main dishes can serve 2 people each, so worth the price and food. Definitely come back! And a shout out to our server Cole, who was great
