Nicely decorated place to go in downtown Nashville , great specials, friendly bartenders, " Maddy…read moreis the best" fun atmosphere!. I had chips & queso it was good, 2 tvs on wall playing western movies, classic rock music playing, enjoyed my visit

I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised. The guacamole and chips were the standout of the meal. The guacamole was incredibly fresh, packed with flavor, and served alongside warm, freshly made tortilla chips that were hard to stop eating. We also ordered the esquites, since I'm a huge fan of authentic elote preparado. The flavors were delicious and well-balanced. My only suggestion would be to serve the esquites warm, I promise it truly takes the dish to another level. As for the tacos, the presentation was beautiful. The Al Pastor tacos looked fantastic, but they leaned a little too sweet for my taste and were missing some of the bold, smoky flavors I associate with traditional Al Pastor, like guajillo chiles, oregano, and other aromatic spices. On the other hand, the chicken tacos were excellent. They were juicy, well-seasoned, and flavorful enough to shine without needing much from the toppings. To top it all off, our server was friendly, attentive, and helped make the entire experience enjoyable. Overall, Bakersfield exceeded my expectations. While it may not replace the authentic taco shops of the Southwest, it's definitely a solid choice in Nashville, especially if you're craving flavorful Mexican-inspired food before a night out.

This place came recommended from a friend and it seemed exciting to go to the restaurant of a singer! It is right in the heart of the downtown bar area. We had a very large group of people on a Saturday night. We had a bit of a wait as they do not take reservations. They seated us upstairs all together sort of at a row of tables separate but all on a row which worked out ok. We were there to celebrate a 21st birthday. They did say Happy Birthday but nothing special beyond that was given or provided which was a little disappointing but I think everyone in Nashville is celebrating something so I get it. Service was very good. Chips with salsa and guacamole was provided upon seating for everyone. When requested more was provided. We had one person who was Gluten Free and they appeared to take care in explaining options as well as answering any questions people had. Drinks were refilled and kept flowing (alcoholic ones). And for a busy Saturday night meals came out in a good timing. Everyone enjoyed their meal although one person had bitten into something hot and did not like it and they were happy to replace the meal. The meal that I had was fantastic! The steak quesadilla. The steak was tender and extremely flavorful. Honestly I had been a bit hesitant to order steak due to being very picky over steak quality. But I was very happy with it! Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and at the end of the meal the server actually was ok with splitting up the ticket even tho we were a very large group which many many establishments refuse to do so this made me very pleased! Oh they had a live band playing on the first floor which was nice. There is an elevator at the back of the restaurant which is nice for those unable or just not wanting to climb a flight of stairs . The flower wall with the Nashville name on it made such a great backdrop for photos! They had two unisex bathrooms on the first floor. I would definitely recommend and go back to this place!

The fact that Savannah's was right next door made it even more fun I stopped in on Taco Tuesday around lunchtime, and it was the perfect time to visit. There was a nice crowd, but it wasn't overly busy. I even picked up a Casa Rosa T-shirt as a souvenir after settling in at the bar. The highlight of my visit was Johnny, the bartender. I told him I wanted something sweet with tequila, and he created the perfect drink. I honestly don't know what he made, but it was so good I ordered a second one! We also discovered we're both from Chicago, which made for great conversation and made the experience feel even more welcoming. Johnny recommended the tacos, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. They were fresh and flavorful. Pair those tacos with two amazing tequila drinks, live music from a fantastic band, and my total bill came to under $50. If you're looking for a great lunch spot with good food, excellent drinks, live music, and outstanding service, Casa Rosa is definitely worth a stop. And if Johnny is behind the bar, you're in great hands. I can't wait to make it back to Nashville, and hopefully one day I'll get lucky enough to visit while Miranda Lambert is there!

Redheaded stranger nailed. That horrific artificial combination of obscure lab chemicals called Crunchwrap supreme from Taco Bell has been turned into something truly mind boggling and Redheaded Stranger deserves every bit of credit for pulling it off. The green chili pork inside of these cruchwraps is heavenly. The hand made tortillas are savory. The moment of biting into this absurd creation of humanity is a true realization of what it means to be satisfied, without having to feel any guilt about it. So, yes, Redheaded Stranger might just be Nashville's best restaurant.

The inside is a cute little place with a lot of great decor. Casual ambiance that is well decorated and very warmed toned. You order at the counter here and they say your food takes about 20 minutes after you order and that's a good estimate. We got the green chile cheeseburger and the most popular Crunchwrap, pork green chile. The burger was really good, a classic smash burger, recommend getting the double though. The cheese is like a more liquid-y cheese with green chiles in and it complimented the burger well. The Crunchwrap was really good, however not as crispy as you might think. The service was appropriate for a casual restaurant. Wished they had some more options for sides or combos meals. Overall a good find and an interesting spot in Nashville. Would come again. Unique atmosphere that makes me want to come back with yummy food! Only canned drinks for soda available. Water station as well.
