Me and my two sons wanted something quick from Taco Bell. We went thru the drive thru and was greater appropriately. We ordered the chicken quesadilla combo, grilled chicken burrito, Doritos taco combo, and the Mexican Pizza. Of course a few of their drinks. Arrived home and was mostly satisfied with the burrito, tacos, and quesadilla. However, when we tried the Mexican Pizza , had to spit it out as it tasted spoiled. Had someone else to taste , they also spitted it out. Ruined the entire meal, and the aftertaste. Hopefully we will not have stomach issues later. Horrible traffic and a time crunch brought me to Taco Bell, not a usual destination for me. The staff here hit it out the park - this is the most friendly fast food experience I've had in ... well, years. First off, the line moved quickly. I was greeted at the speaker by a clear and friendly man who repeated my order, got the type of sauce I was interested in, and thanked me before telling me to pull around. When I got to the window, the nicest young lady greeted me and made eye contact each time she turned my way. She was super friendly and fast. That sort of treatment sticks out when in a drive through. The food was neatly packed, nothing flying around, nothing broken or forgotten. It's Taco Bell, so i didn't expect anything spectacular with the taste, but the lettuce was actually fresh and everything was neat and good. Every other Taco Bell I have ever been to (across the country) could learn a thing or two from the staff working here. Good job! read more

What can I say? It's a regular Taco Bell. Nothing too fancy and also nothing too boring. Food was good for the price and not terribly made. The food was ordered via the touchscreens which worked as a benefit as the only person whom was on the counter was a worker taking a "break" by watching videos on her phone. Restaurant was very clean and not busy for a Friday night. The new redesign makes the open space concept very different and industrial furniture doesn't help the look I picture when I think of Taco Bell. read more

I've been to this location several times, just your average Taco Bell. But the hidden gem on the menu is the reason I came here tonight: to do a Taco Bell dessert ranking. I've gone through multiple periods of my life where each was my go-to sweet tooth quencher, but it's time to put the cards down: 3) Cinnamon Twists - They look like a churro, they are covered in cinnamon sugar like a churro, they are fried liked a churro, but that's where the similarities end. Which means they are pretty darn similar... Anyway, they are like little crunchy pieces of DNA. Also reminiscent of a chicharrones, could easily be confused if not for the toss in cinnamon sugar. Sometimes you can get on order where they aren't all the way coated, but these had just the right amount of coating. They are pretty forgerable though compared alongside the other options. 2) Caramel Apple Empanada - Hard decision, but had to place this one 2nd. This dessert ruined all apple pies for me, including homemade. Unpopular opinion: this is the best apple pie in the world. The top has a (what I would assume to be) crispy caramel crust. The pie dough is buttery, soft, and perfectly fried. Polar opposite of a McDonald's pie. And the inside. The way the apples are diced so small makes them very tender. And the caramel sauce filling is amazing. I can't bear to eat apple pie at holidays because it makes me want to drive out and get one of these bad boys. 1) Cinnabon Delights - I immediately regretted only getting 2 when I arrived home. These are what the cinnamon twists aspire to be. Though not the shape of a churro, I would nearly consider it one. Crispy fried, tossed in cinnamon sugar, pillowy dough on the inside. And it's filled with cinnamon roll icing. Should have the option of getting a chocolate sauce on the side. The texture of them is created in a way that it just melts in your mouth. Ordered Taco Bell through DoorDash. Was really excited to try the new burrito, got the food finally from our DoorDash driver Jason, who was across the parking lot playing with his dick I guess and took forever to get here. Once we got the food, the food was burnt. I did not receive my chips with the order instead I received the nasty ass nacho fries, there was no jalapeño ranch on the chicken quesadilla. When I called Taco Bell and spoke to the manager, first, she asked me what the name was on the DoorDash order, I said my name she said I don't remember seeing an order under that name. Well that's dumb because I just ordered it like 20 minutes ago. I don't think she's the manager. She said DoorDash would contact her baby. I said OK baby and hung up before that though, I expressed to her that my burrito was burnt and she said to call DoorDash. This is a mockery. I will never eat here again. Mexican pizza anyone? Gosh, I have not been to a Taco Bell in years. It is never at the top of my list to eat at. But, it did take me back to those years that I used frequently visit them for their chalupas. This was exactly the same reason I visited this last time. I was ready to bite into another crispy chalupa to help take me back to the good ole' days. I walked in there not expecting much from customer service. Well, my expectations were pretty much on-point. Ordered my food... ya know, had to load up with my faves from back-in-da-day: chalupa, Mexican pizza and a beef taco. This was definitely a low-point trying to maintain my best self-care ever. Goes to show that I have much weakness, too, that I easily succumb to. Did I have that nostalgic feeling? Yes, but I also had that icky feeling, after I ate all that food. Brought me back, but also reassured me that I don't want to go back that often. If you are coming here seeking quality, you may be disappointed. I had to apologize to my stomach a few times. Now I remember why it took me a long time to visit. Some Taco Bells are just not created equal. I've visited 31 states, and probably have been to a Taco Bell in 20 of states. I may have some zip code bias, but I can say that this is the #2 best Taco Bell in the US. The best Taco Bell is near the Katy Mills Mall in Katy, Texas. It is definitely the #1 Taco Bell in Louisiana just ahead of the one in Kenner right before the New Orleans Airport. All the Taco Bells here in San Francisco have a combined KFC/Taco Bell. It is a travesty to have two different genres of food together under one roof like that. Imagining myself as an employee of a dual Taco Bell/KFC, there is no one I would be able to concentrate all my energy on making the best Taco Bell product if I have to learn how to mix up Col. Sanders' spices. What sets this Taco Bell from most? FRESHNESS and care put into every taco/burrito/gordita/chalupa. I love savoring the feeling of a warm Tortilla from the Essen Ln/Perkins Taco Bell and refreshing pico de gallo. Although the College Dr one is newer and closer to the LSU campus, it can't hold a light to the flagship Taco Bell of Louisiana. It's almost Christmas time, and i'm not dreaming of a white Christmas...i'm dreaming of Essen Lane Taco Bell. Can't wait to be reunited in a few days!!! read more

I went here after the lsu football game. There was no line and i was happy to see that. I rolled up to the speaker and the lady working there told me the system was down. Yet an uber driver in front of us could get the food for their order. I then proceeded to order online because she told me that the reason we couldn't order was because we couldn't pay. So i payed online then went back up and she said that since the "system was down" that they couldn't fulfill our order. I believe that this employee was just wanting to not work due to the late hour of the night. I wish i got her name because i would like to write a personal review about her. She doesn't deserve to work anywhere if you can't work simple hours. read more

Service was horrible the last time I was here and i don't expect much from a drive thru. Twice I was told through the intercom as I was ordering that they "weren't talking to me" and it was very confusing. I really didn't care how they treated me at the time because I just wanted 4th meal. However, when my pintos and cheese with rice came out it had a thick layer of grease on top of it. So gross. I ordered a burrito supreme, and it was the perfect size. I was able to easily add sauce because it was intact and yet easy to rearrange. It felt amazing when I finally dug in.
