I placed an order for delivery due to me having a wreck 2 days ago and the quality and portion size was disappointing and disgusting. I'm not sure if the orders are double checked by management before they're given to customers, but they need to be at this point because this is absolutely ridiculous. It's sad when companies take advantage of you because you order something for delivery. The burrito had no meat and the taco looked like it came out the trash. $30 for food and this is what you get. I've dropped into Izzo's quite a number of times over the years because it is a convenient location and the prices are pretty on point. This past visit was on a quiet Monday evening. There were a few people in there, so the line was not long and the pace moved quickly. I got the regular sized stead this time. The steak's seasoning was pretty luckluster and overall the burrito was bland, but it was prepared well and didn't fall apart. I added a few veggies and the illegal sauce which is a good one to try. I made it into a meal, and with the tip, it was $13. Great value. Staff was friendly and while I took mine to go, everything looked pretty clean in there. read more

Izzos has really gone down hill. I don't like to post negative reviews but the entire experience tonight wasn't good. It was about an hour before closing and clearly the workers did not want to be there. We were third in line and it took thirty minutes before we got our order to go. The toppings were very meager, and the icing on the cake is that apparently they swapped our order with the person's before us, because when we got home it was the completely wrong order. I imagine that the other folks were just as upset because our order was very different. Well , it might be called an addiction than a craving ‍ because I go every Thursday to order a mixed shredded pork and chicken or steak and shredded pork burrito The Meat is well seasoned and everything is fresh , I can taste all the flavors with each bite ... my insert choices ( mex rice , cilantro ranch , jalapeños , habanero salsa, cheese , sour cream , corn , pico de Gallo , and refried / pinto beans mix ) along with chips , salsa and queso. Out of the three Izzos that I've been to in Baton Rouge, this is the best one. Everyone is always nice here and greet you right away. The food is always fresh and really good. I've been disappointed in quality at the other ones sometimes, but haven't been disappointed here. They are also doing a good job with keeping the social distancing up and making it a safe environment. read more

The prep area was not clean, (it look like it would look after a rush but the place was empty) the guys that greeted me when I walked in were welcoming So I decided to order anyway . Love the veggie anything and Izzo's has both great queso and salsas. The staff is always very friendly and the service is quick but if you've visited the other locations you will notice that the Corporate location is different and not in a good way. First off it doesn't have the drink options provided by the ultimate refreshments drink machine you'll find at the Bluebonnet location and more importantly it is often very dirty. The tables aren't wiped, the salsa area is a mess and the bathroom was filthy. More often than at the other locations you'll also find the chips not so fresh and the refried beans to be dry. This location does have an awesome outdoor seating area but not enough to overcome the lack of cleanliness in my opinion. read more

Quality has gone down hill. I ordered online and went in to get it. I was ignored until the people placing their order were ready to go pay despite me standing at the register. Had to wait for my order which was cold. The order had toppings that I didn't order but I didnt notice until I got back home to eat. The food was bad. I've ordered over the last four months four times. Each time they have intentionally manipulated my order. I say this because there is no way this couldn't be a manipulation. The first order I made, July 09, was 2 super steak burritos that were all fat. There was no steak in this burrito. It was absolutely disgusting and unable to be finished. Izzo's is a solid place. They have pretty good food, nothing crazy, but still good. The burritos are tasty, and they offer some good toppings. Ingredients are not quite as fresh as Chipotle, which is a downside. Other than that, it's a good option if you want some quick Mexican. I would say it's better than Moe's, but a step down from Chipotle. read more

Ordered from Uber Eats and I was pleasantly surprised. No idea what the service is like in store, but the food is basically the Louisiana version of Chipotle (based on their burrito and burrito bowl). I have no complaints as it met my exact expectation. At least at this location, I didn't notice any skimping of toppings when I received my order. I will say though -- don't go too crazy with the sauces by adding them all. My fiance thought that would be a good idea -- false. You only have yourself to blame if you don't like your order as all the toppings are yummy. If you don't like, it means you made a combo that was subpar and that is your own fault. So, the set up here is sort of like a Subway, you select what you want and then watch as they pimp out your burrito. They have lots of options, so the possibilities are statistically infinite. I came here with my cousin last night, and I'll say it was a big improvement from my last visit. It smelled great, first off. That was one of my big problems the last time I came, but last night it just smelled like great food. There were several workers down the line and in the back, so they were able to handle the long line fairly quickly. This time I ordered the cheese quesadillas with spanish rice and black beans and sides of sour cream and guacamole. It came to my table faster than I expected for the amount of people there, and it was warm and tasty. I will say it was quite greasy. It was good, but the grease was dripping off of each piece. Next time I'll have them go easy on the cheese or the oil they grill the tortillas on. The Izzo's salsa is great as is the green tomatillo sauce. I will be back when I get a hankering for it. I eat here quite often when I am rushing around town. This location has a drive up which is super convenient. Just order online and pull up to the window when you're there. They always say it will take 15 min but sometimes when I arrive, my food is ready, other times they have not started it yet (still usually only takes an extra 5 min to wait on them to make it). I wish they had a full drive through where you can get there and see the menu and order. The chips are always super fresh and delicious. Sometimes I go just for the chips because they're so good. Definitely my favorite restaurant chips. Not too thin, not too salty. I wish they would open a downtown location so it could be even more convenient for me to get some food. Sometimes I crave it but dont want to drive all the way across town just to pick up my food and turn around and come home. They are available on UberEats for delivery but the upcharge on items is wild and you can end up paying $25 to get a burrito delivered. read more

It doesn't matter if there are 15 people or 2 people in the line, this location will take all day to make your food. The staff is always complaining and it is disgusting behind the counter. Better than Chipotle in my opinion. Being originally from California their are an overwhelming amount of Chipotle's every where you go so having an option like Izzo's is definitely a plus in my book. The location is very convenient and has its own parking lot with a good amount of spaces. as far as the food goes it is very delicious. I really enjoy the fact that you get to make your burrito exactly the way you want it. What I like about Izzo's better than Chipotle is the fact they give you options for everything. Chipotle for example just has one type of tortilla. Where as Izzo has multiple types of tortillas, types of chicken, and types of rice. I think this is important as a consumer because it gives me variation. I love having the ability to try new things every time I go. Now the coolest part about Izzo's is that you can choose the size of your burrito. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to try something new. This location is finally open again. :) It is located on Corporate in between Chase Bank and the Gates at CitiPlace. The interior was renovated so it's very new and clean. We stopped in during lunchtime and the employees were very friendly. The manager or lead person was very efficient in running the restaurant. We all ordered a burrito and chips/queso. The burritos were rolled VERY neatly compared to other locations. The flavors were consistent with other locations as well. I suggest asking them to drain the meat/beans more because the burritos tend to get soggy and messy. The queso was a little disappointing because it was runny and watered down. :( Overall, it is one of the better Izzo's in the area. The crew was a lot faster than other locations. I am a HUGE fan of Izzo's and always defend them over Chipotle. A few reasons: 1. Normally fresh 2. LOCAL 3. Margaritas...& I normally eat there at least once a week, HOWEVER, for the last several times I have been, the food has been blah. I had a steak salad tonight and the steak was not tasty. In addition, there were not many people in line, but the staff was moving very slow and the place was DIRTY! Food area counters not clean, food containers sitting on top of the counters, and many of the tables and trash can areas needed to be cleaned. I also witnessed a worker start a man's quesadilla with gloves on and then come back to him at the counter with the same gloves on, pick up a pen and proceed to fill out the options on his quesadilla. Really good burrito. With the alcohol options and different burrito size options, this place reminded me of Bullritos. I enjoyed the cayenne wrap with a combination of pulled pork and dark meat chicken with corn and cilantro ranch. Thumbs up on the chicken as it was marinated very well and had excellent flavor. Can't say the same regarding the pulled pork though. If you like extra fixins' such as mushrooms and guac, they start adding up surprisingly. read more
