The taco shells were broken and falling apart, they didn't put any sauce in the bags as we requested them with the online order. The beans in the bean burrito were not fully cooked or mushed. We placed a decent-sized order, and the girl confirmed it. The entire process, from placing the order to paying for it, went smoothly. However, upon arriving home, we discovered that a part of our order was missing. This was problematic because one of our family members did not receive their food. I immediately called the store to inquire about the missing item, and a girl answered the phone. She recognized us and I explained the situation to her. She informed me that we would have to drive back to the store, which was 20 minutes away, to have the missing food replaced. I explained that this was inconvenient for us and requested a refund instead. The girl informed me that we would still have to come to the store for a refund. I asked to speak with a manager, but was placed on hold for 8 minutes. No one ever picked up, so I hung up and attempted to call back. However, the line was busy. I tried again 10 minutes later, but the line was still busy. While I understood that mistakes happen, this experience was quite frustrating. Why am I reviewing Taco Bell? I like this particular Taco Bell because it also is a combined Pizza Hut. I like to get pizza on the go when I am in a hurry, so this is pretty convenient for me. What I do not like is that they ALWAYS mess up my order here. I can't even count how many times I've had to walk back into the store and ask for them to fix it. One time, they asked me to pull in front of the store to wait for my pizza because it was still baking for about five more minutes. If I wanted to wait for my pizza I wouldn't have come to a FAST food joint. If you don't have it ready, tell met that so I don't have to wait and be late getting back to work. Anyway, I ended up waiting about 10-15 minutes before I walked into the store just to find out that they completely forgot about me. I had already paid and everything! Hit or miss. Sometimes you get competent workers that make sure your food order is made correctly, other times they just don't care. The workers are friendly, but whoever makes the food in the kitchen keeps messing up each and every time. I usually have to double check my food before I leave. Usually love this Taco Bell. We go here for the exceptional service. I've written plenty of great reviews to the "tellthebell" website for this store. Tonight was pretty bad. Fred J(a young man from what I could tell) was our cashier and things started out great while ordering our food tonight(September 28th at roughly 12pm). Until we asked that 3 of our items had beans put on them instead of beef. He grew short and borderline whined at us. Asking questions like "wait, beans INSTEAD of beef?" Like he'd never heard anyone ask something like that before. When we got our food, the chalupa we ordered was barely wrapped and all of the toppings spilled out into the bottom of the bag. Say what you want about taco bell. The bottom line is you can get enough food to fill you up or at the very least, hold you over for around 4 dollars. And that including the drink. No one expects it to be gourmet Mexican but the beauty in taco bell is not that there are respected chefs behind the counters the beauty is that you can get simple (and honestly not bad) meals for under 5 dollars which is a rarity in the drive threw's nowadays. This particular location is pretty rad because all of the workers here have been here for as long as i can remember (at least a half decade) and they will still make stuff that taco bell has taken off the menu if you ask them. And one particular time i was late to work trapped in the lunch hour drive through just to come to find out when i got up to the counter finally i totally forgot my wallet when i left my house and she straight up just gave me the food i ordered, drink and all, and said pay us next time. He by far made the 5 star experience. And it wasn't just us, while he was cleaning tables if someone walked to the front door he would stop what he was doing and open it and great them. I decided to order at the ordering station because I noticed the employees were very busy with takeout orders. When I went to run my card it said to go to the counter because the system encountered a problem. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes and I was completely ignored. So then I decided to go in the drive-through since that was the only thing the employees were paying attention to. When I got to the drive-through, I put my order in and the employee didn't say anything after I told her what I wanted. That was strange. Usually they repeat your order and ask you if you want anything else. Because I was given no service at all, I decided to reverse out of the drive-through and just go home. I have to stress that I used to eat here often , but I travel back and forth from Tempe and Glendale so I just eat along my route. I went here last sunday , and got very bad service. I ordered the meal deal number 4 , the 5 layer burrito with doritos and a medium soda. The 5 layer barely had any meat , any beans , or anything for that matter. To cut costs I'm guessing, they put a smaller tortilla inside a larger one to make the thing seem fuller than it was. I went up and got my money back. I am surprised at this because I usually have excellent service here. But then again the management and employees have changed , my favorite people aren't there anymore. She ordered her tacos and was satisfied, although she said she would have preferred the other place especially since they didn't have the tacos she was looking for.
